It is a great place to take kids and have a picnic lunch. We climbed the climbing wall, walked the rope bridge explored the nature paths and ponds. We had lunch there and walked over to red oak nature area. We explored a little cave and saw nests of great heron off the Fox River.

Love this park. I took my 3 daughters and they love it. To bad that they closed really early it may be cuz of the pandemic. But will be back soon

Great walking trail with a lot to see. They have a park for kids and a number of branching trails. We especially enjoyed the boardwalk area. There were a lot of different plants and creatures to see.

Went for a nice walk Easter morning, to the cave of the Spirit, with the kids. The cave was smaller than I imagined but still cool, especially the legend behind it. Lots of fun. New favorite place to walk to in our area

This park was updated awhile ago. It has a nice pavilion and playground. Also has a very nice boardwalk along the river. Im not sure about restrooms, never needed one when I have been here. It would be locked up as most of the bathrooms around have been locked.

Walking paths, paved for bike travel and unpaved for foot traffic closer to the fox River. Play area, boardwalk over the pond and to a river lookout. Green and flowered, great natural place to bring the kids. Bring your butterfly and scooping nets to see what you can find in the pond.

A pleasing short stop along route 25 to get some air and surround yourself with living things. I hike through this park just about everyday. I see only a few people there everyday, so it is never crowded.

It was nice and clean, BUT I saw a little girl about maybe 8 years old slip and fall down a very steep rock climb wall. Almost a straight vertical teen/adult climb!!! She slipped all the way down!!!! I asked if she was okay and she said yes, BUT she was definitely hurting bad!!!! This is a teen park NOT a child park!! That being said my 4 year old had fun BUT I was hands on with her the WHOLE time!!!! The girl that fell was with some kind of summer camp and the ladys watching were not paying attention!!! I had to inform them of the incident!!!!! Teen park only!!! NOT FOR KIDS!!!

This recently refurbished park is a wonderful way to view some nature! You might catch an eagle soaring down the river, searching for its next meal, or see a muskrat swimming around in its pool. There is a gorgeous fire pit used for occasional programs. A fun play structure and nice shady areas. This place is a must see.

Lippold Park just opened (it still shows under development on the FVPD website). Nice tree fort style playground and boardwalks through a pond/swamp area adjacent to the Fox River. Good Park for kids 4+. While wildlife activity was pretty minimal during our visit (its November after all), it appears it will be a good spot to see frogs and other pond life in the Spring & Summer. The park is located just north of the Red Oaks nature center on Route 25/River St.
