Fun little free zoo - it’s nice to be able to pet the animals even as an adult, plus a volunteer was walking around to answer questions. They also hope to get a new animal soon from Alaska to make up for the one that humanely passed away.

Great little zoo! Not too big, not too small. Good for an hour or two, probably not a whole day trip. Good assortment of animals, one staff member was out and talking to us and taught us a lot during our conversation. Bring quarters to operate the little food machines to feed the goats and a few of the other animals! Also there is a park and playground outside the fence that share the same parking lot.

The zoo is in need of volunteers to help maintenance with the grounds. I was looking at the animals and a staff person was very rude about my service dog. He is in training for a medical need. She told me he could not be there, I told her he was a service dog and she asked for what, I answered her and she told me he had to leave.I am not supposed to be asked what need my service dog is for. My medical issue(s) are protected by law.

Great little Zoo in town. The entrance is a little deceiving large gated fence doors you just need to walk up to it and push down the lever and go in and go inside and walk around. There is just a intern that runs the place. No fee it’s free.

This place should be shut down. The whole park has terrible up keep and the animal enclosures were all rundown. All the animals are not getting the habitat they deserve to be happy and live well. I would have rather have them pay to get in so they can at least put the money back into the park. As for now though they need close down the zoo and take the animals to zoos that will take care of them properly.

Fun, family friendly zoo. A little on the small side, not a lot of animals but it is a free zoo. Looks like they are expanding an exhibit which will be nice. Once you are done at the zoo you can spend some time in the park. Once you are done at the park there are plenty of places to eat up the road. All in all it is a fun way to spend a morning.

Ochsner is a great zoo and park in the middle of Baraboo. The zoo is free and has a small selection of animals - come early and they will be active for feeding. There is a large shelter at the park that can be rented. It’s a great space for gatherings and has bathrooms with running water attached. The park is situated along the Baraboo River with easy access to a river walk.

The zoo is small and has parking just outside of the gate. The staff were very friendly and let us pet the goats. The animals looked well fed and happy. It didnt smell like some zoos do. It was clean and they let the chickens run around instead of keeping them cooped up.

Very cute zoo. Family friendly, and of course at free entry it was a good value and an enjoyable time. The animals here could benefit from financial assistance to the zoo. The otters have an incomplete habitat right now, that looks like it will require quite a bit for the comfort of the animals.

I hope when the renovations are done that it is worth all this waiting! We go a few a times every summer and in the last 2 summers there hasnt been much to see. I havent seen the monkeys the last 2 times, or the bears, or the eagle, and I havent ever seen the Otters, or the Lynx awake since they made the exhibits. The owls are really cool though!

It sits on a beautiful park with well updated playground equipment. They have also kept the historical buildings and some equipment too. The zoo is in the process of getting a well deserved face lift. The wolves come from my favorite zoo I fully support in greenville, wi. If they will back this zoo, then I do too.
