Good park nd its very peaceful nd its also very good to practice football

A nice shady park in a beautiful 1970s neighborhood. It includes a dog park, allowing for off-leash play, as well as tables and grills. Theres a small playground for the kids, too. The biggest downside is no parking lot (street parking only). The 41 GET Bus has stops located on University Ave.

Open space area. The downward slope of the hills makes for great privacy but in a big enough area. Gives the sense of safety and security for letting little ones play. Usually clean. Area available for dogs which is fenced in. Perfect in providing protection and prevention.

Clean spacious very nice park

The park is kept clean, Play ground in good shape and they have a big fenced dog park that is kept up. I havent had a problem ever there.

University park is a dog park in my neighborhood, where -- pre-quarantine era - many nearby soccer teams and also boot camp groups practiced and worked out.

Nice quiet park with a nice dog friendly section. Extremely relaxing.

I love the dog park here. Its in a nice neighborhood and always full of nice people and the occasional silly teenagers.

If you like nature this is the place, so many different activities you cando with all the family. Camping, boating, exploring. Pets are accepted too.

Scenic, peaceful and good for walking.

This is the largesr dog park for your dog to run around. The bad part is that people are lazy and refuse to pick up after their dog takes a dump. With that laziness can cause disease to other dogs. So remember to clean up after your dog and make it bettwr for everyone.There is also a small play ground for your kids which is nice. Also the park is open so you can have a jog or something.

I was at this park for the dog park. It is one of the biggest fences dogs parks in bakersfield, and usually during prime hours there is many other dogs and owners alike. One side was out of bags for the feces but most likely due to the proximity to the entrance. Furthermore there is many benches and a playground for families at the park, with many trees matured into adulthood provided ample amounts of shade. Altogether a good place for the family, pets and all!

It was very clean and there bags for my dogs poo. I was quiet and peaceful. I went with my dog on Saturday. I expected it to be more busy. It is very well kept and there was not alot of feces.

It is a great open place to play. Even did my daughters birthday here. They even have a dog park here which is cool so you can take your fur babies too. There are a few downsides they dont have a bathroom and later in the day when the older kids are getting out of school I tend to watch for them cause they can be mean at times. Other then that love it.

No bathroom and not enough tables for the size of the park. Cute play structure but no shade for the kids.Nice trees tho. Id only recommend this park during fall and spring- and if youre kids are old enough to hold their bladder because even if you decided to go find a bathroom, its pretty remote.Pretty sure its a park that was meant for close residents that are able to run home if needed.

Family friendly. One of the few safe looking parks in town BUT you will get a cop know on on your car window if you’ve been parked there for too long.

Love how close - tons of parking - adjacent fenced in dog park - grass always trimmed and green - bbq.and tables - nice shade trees - playground. NO RESTROOMS ! ( To avoid crimes ) Grounds needed to be cleaned, trash& broken glass.Playground could use updating w/ more items - swinging and climbing etc.perhaps a water feature (this is Bakersfield afterall) and Im sorry, I would still like a small restroom.

Nice park. Especially the dog park located at this park. It’s nice and big for any sized animal. It’s a nice play to bring your team sort to practice to. Only downfall is that it has no public restroom on site. Not one.

Its nice and clean .....they have running water and plenty of poop bags.....its simple but good enough for the dogs to stretch out their leggs.....and its in a good area plus theres a play ground for the kids.....and no one just hanging out if u Kno what I mean....

I Had been coming here for about 2 years till i decided not to bring my dogs to this dog park. People are rude about the breed of my dogs. They used to shuu my dogs away from their dogs afraid my dogs were aggressive. My dog also got attacked by a boxer here. Dont trust all dogs, some people are irresponsible dog owners.

Difficult to find parking on busy days

University park is pretty soothing & relaxing when there isnt a lot of people there. Its also nice for sport practices..

Good area with dog 0ark I mean park provided. It is about a time to have a first small pet who have its own aggressive to do something in university dog park . Hmm.. I already have 1 small puppy. ; ) good university park have fence for dogs which cannot be running away. Good wise and support for dogs running inside fence no chance to escape .... to earn a healthy strong. People needs to work on their attitude toward other people in dog park.

Its a really nice place to take kids to and to hangout with friends and family.

Nice park by day, drug den by night. Dont let your kids on the slides, Ive seen many people pee down them.

This park has always been pretty nice. Theres a nice dog park with a lot of space. However, there is no Bathroom on site and its used for soccer practice on weekends so can become a little crowded. Other then that, a good park.

Fun for all ages and sporting events

Generally a nice park however our last few visits have been plagued with people smoking pot (legal perhaps, but not in public) and a domestic dispute that I broke up and sent the two in opposite direction.

Please put in a bathroom!!!###!!!*** Now the kids really enjoyed it and we had to go home so they didnt even get to play that long. Save the park

It would be a lot better if people would stop breaking their beer bottles and leaving their trash or replaced but other than that its a fun park for the kids

This is a nice park in a nice neighborhood. It has an enclosed dog park so you can let your dog run wild with like minded dogs. There is play ground equipment here and there are restrooms. Its not a huge park. But there is also park benches and built in grills.

Good park, there are two separate jungle gyms, one for older, one for younger kids. A good park for a game of football or Ultimate Frisbee with your friends.

Ive lived close to this park for the majority of my life and it has continually been one of my favorites. There are two small playgrounds for older and younger kids, a gated dog park, and several barbecue areas, and the park is usually kept clean. The only downsides, to me, are the youths that the park attracts, which can be obnoxious, and the lack of public restrooms.
