I had a wonderful time watching a movie with my friends. It’s been so long since I’ve been to a movie theater it was really nice coming back and watching a movie on the big screen. The staff was very nice and the whole place was very clean, they had multiple hand sanitation areas and all the other precautions for the pandemic situation that we are living in. I do recommend purchasing your tickets online because the space is limited in each movie auditorium.

Great movies and great cleaning. I went to a movies with friend and as soon as we walked in we all wanted snacks but they were really expensive. During the movie kids kept crying and screaming and after the movie we went up and wanted a refund but instead got attitude from the worker. I would recommend on a late evening and sneak in your own snacks.

I like the Maya theatre for the comfortable reclined seats. They have discounted senior tickets all day on Wednesday. The theatre is kept up nice and good choice of movies.

Best theater in town! Seats are so comfortable its hard to stay awake haha. Restrooms always clean. Cant wait for them to open up again.

I had a great experience here, although the park was packed out so get there a bit early. The service was fast, the lobby was huge with seating areas and a section with video games. The seats were big and comfortable and you get to pick out your seats when you get the tickets

My favorite in town, great lounge seats, friendly staff, clean and great parking. They could get more menu items to offer. Quicker cooking time on the ones they have. If youre hungry after, go to the Chinese place in the parking lot. So good!

Its a great place that has cheaper movie tickets which only costs around $7 each. They have clean rest room and a variety of snacks. Plus they also have this play machines on the side. 2 Thumbs up!

Loved the reclining lounger seats! Didnt like that the lobby and concessions area was untidy. I also didnt like that I could hear the other theaters sound in my theater during my movie.

Beats other movie places around and way cheaper, always go here even though its downtown, way better seats than EdwardsSeen a lot of movies here over the years including some previews, one of my favorite theaters in town, normal prices have gone up to $10 or if you come before 11am on weekdays its $5. Pay attention to Googles traffic anylitics times when planning to go see a movie as Friday and Saturday nights are usually horrible for parking and waiting in lines or getting a good spot in theater.

Always a good experience, just found out they serve pizza tacos ,burritos and more. Would highly recommend they turn the kids party room into a small cafe/pastries and more tables. Live that you have so many more condiments than other movie theatres

Busy location. I think lighting could be Bette I could not see walking to my seat. The seats in my opinion went back to far and wasnt adjustable. Good picture should was great and people were friendly

Very comfortable seats! Love how they recline back a little further than most and other theaters. I like how the tray moves back and forth in front of you. The staff is always friendly when I go there. Love that they have the Coca-Cola machine that has all the different flavors in it. Also you put your own butter on your popcorn which means you can load it on there if you want! Well definitely go there to watch on my movies

This place has tremendously changed from last year. Neat as always, spacious, I think all they are missing now is the food and alcohol upgrade and they will be my 1st movie theater pick in town. Eventhough they are far out from my house, I still think its worth the drive.

Snack line was understandably a little slow, no biggie there. Seats were comfortable, other than no low back support. And staff was nice. + I used gift cards... Win-win!

I love the movies that always play here. The seats are cool they recline and have a place for food and drinks. The only problem like all movie theaters are the prices of food.

We have been coming here for Movies for many years and everytime we have a great time. Employees are courteous and the place is clean. Seats are very comfortable, have a tray and are button-controlled. They even have booster seats for the little ones in case they need them. If you are a family with young kids, they have a crying baby room which is separate room within the theater from where you are able to watch your movie. We used to use the cry baby room a lot when my kids were younger. Maya is the only theater in town with such accommodation. I definitely recommend people to visit Maya Theater.

Very dissatisfied! Only one person working! A young man. I just bought all brand new tires there for both my van and and truck the same day less than 4 months ago took it back and found I had a nail in my tire was told theres no road warranty charged $15.00 and was not even given a receipt. Probably wont buy tires there again

Love this theatre drive out of our way to come here. Comfy reclining seats, lots of space, always has whatever movie we want to see. Concessions are pricey, but they are at every theatre. Reasonable ticket prices, go matinee for discounts. Buy your tickets at the kiosk inside and avoid any lines...ever.

Went to see the invisible man it was almost sold out got last three seats two rows from the screen, we reclined and it was great not to close at all

Great place to take the family and enjoyed a night out. Workers are polite and place is always clean.

We sat in the big recliners and watched Star Wars. It was very comfortable. FYI for parents, my 11 year old thougt the theater was too loud. Fortunately I had some ear plugs in the car that I grabbed before the movie started.

Great and beautiful theater it has lots of screens where they play all the newest release movies.~Management at this theater need so much improvement as they dont really have control on their workers as most times is so many of them that crowded or not the theater is still a mess as they are just there not all of them team working sometimes, restrooms dont get checked as often and if they do, no one changes the trash, the hand soap or the hand towels.~The outside of the building is a mess as they dont sweep it ever and all kinds of spills of soda are all over the parking lot making the pathway so sticky and unsafe. Shame on management as they over see these things daily.

The Maya was a nice place with a nice atmosphere, the sound was clear and the seats were very comfortable and adjustable as to be able to recline back. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience.

Watched the Lion King. And like always out was beautiful. Its clean. The seats are so comfortable. I love it. Specially since in the summer on Tuesdays and Thursday mornings kids are only 1$ AMAZING!

This movie theater is by far the absolute BEST here in Bakersfield! And since they now offer reclining seats it’s even better than before. It’s very clean and well managed. I now prefer to purchase the tickets online and walk straight in, no more outside lines. The pretzels dipped in the nacho cheese sauce are my favorite snack. Their Americano coffee is surprisingly delicious! 5 stars all the way!

I wish we had Maya Cinemas in our hometown! We loved it so much we went 2-3 times a week for the whole month we spend in Bakersfield. Great job at the comfy seating and very well kept.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. THEY HAD JUST UPGRADED THEIR CINEMA SEATS TO BLACK LEATHER ELECTRIC RECLINERS. AND THEY HAVE TABLE TRAYS THAT COME OUT TO SET YOUR FOOD OR DRINKS ON. VERY VERY CLEAN PLACE. AND IN THE SUMMER IT FEELS SO GOOD WITH THE AIR CONDITIONING ON. ALL THE STAFF IS POLITE AND VERY NICE.

Ok gonna be real honest here . We were told this was a great place to come watch a movie, not being from California and not knowing the area we came here. We were told oh yeah you can food and desert and all the newest movies are playing here and its in a good area. Well the area seemed ok and hes there was place to get food and yogurt desert etc.. but we couldnt even get out of the vehicle to see any of it. The parking lot is super super small and there were no parking spaces. The parking in front of the food places was 10 minutes only allowed makes no sense. Since most movies are 2 hours and you take time eating . The outside of the building looked cool and clean neat decor but never even made it inside. So they lost my family as customers. Highly recommend fixing the parking lot problem ....

Good theater experience, enjoyment and cleanliness depends on whether or not you go on a busy day or time. Staff is usually pleasant and helpful. Prices are steadily increasing, keep eyes open for matinee prices or other deals. One of the better theaters in town

Bathroom wasnt very clean for as slow as they were but chairs are comfy. Seat assignments are b.s....dont bother with that.

Most comfortable seats in town and the ability to reserve your seats ahead of time is awesome. No more rushing to order snacks and make it to a good seat. Chairs recline pretty far back and the little tables are perfect. Also, no more tripping over people when youre getting in and out of your seat as the walkways between rows are nice and roomy. The comfortability factor beats out the other updated theaters in town.

Just Mercy was the movie and it was a eye opener, really a heart felt experience. This is a must see movie ,$6.00 matinee is the way to go !!!

I love the Maya Theater in Bakersfield. The seating is so comfortable with recliners. Clean. Only negative is snack bar prices. Super expensive. 2 hot dogs 15.00... Families cant afford that. .Tehachapi theater is 1.00 for a hot dog.

Best theatre in the nation. Nowhere else are you going to find seats with electric lazy boys with swing out food trays. Lay down or sit up with plenty of room and privacy with a wall behind every row. Amazing!!!

The temperature in the theatre is always nice and not too extreme. They have reclining seats. If going with children do not reserve the very top row of seats because the kids cant see over the safety ledge when they sit.

I am loving the new upgrades! I enjoyed my experience in the new chairs with attachable tray. And the fact that nobody can no longer kick your seat in the back of you because there is a wall now is a beautiful thing!!! Way to go Maya. I will be going here instead of the movie Grill. At least I wont have any waitresses blocking my view during a good movie. Im a satisfied customer.

We had a very relaxing time in the cool Maya Cinemas. The recliners are very comfortable and the refreshments are tasty. A nice way to stay out of the heat.

Its been awhile since I went to the movies the seats are amazing. It doesnt hurt now that you can reserve your seats and dont have to worry that you will not have enough time to grab your snacks and be able to find amazing seats.

My Boys loved Ferdinand! I loved the whole Maya Cares concept!! Its easy for children on the spectrum to become overstimulated; Maya takes care of this the first Saturday of every month. Lowered volume, dimmed lighting and my boys even received Bull Beanie Babies from Auti the Autism Turtle! Thank you Maya Cinemas for caring about the experience of all your viewers. This has always been my favorite Theater because its so tidy, I now have another reason to love ya!
