Recliner seats. Bomb stereo system. It has a bar and a concession stand that you cant beat. Go in the morning, its cheaper and so worth the experience. Dont try to buy tickets online, I had no luck with that..the website was- unfortunate but the way they conduct business in person was outstanding.

A little pricey, fun. And great date night experience. We had a cocktail, comfy seats, pleasantly surprised. Good customer service. Take advantage of the AMC rewards it pays off. definitely doing this again.

Would have been so much better if the staff kept up on the dirtiness. Place was filthy, staff looked like they hated their lives, kids running up and down the aisles the whole time, babies crying in the theater, parents chasing their little ones .. all while the movie was playing. Basically a cheap knock off of studio movie grill.

Has new/recent movies for a good price. Went before noon and got a matinee price of 5 dollars to see fairly recent movie. Has small theaters with reclining seats. Not too busy so it had a very nice and calm atmosphere. Good place for a movie and near good food places

Great seating, the consession stand is pretty slow but that true if all theaters I guess. There biggest problem is that when your watching a movie and some one opens the door to get into the the auditorium your in it lets in light and that ruins your immersion and its extra bad when people keep getting up to get sneaks or use the restroom

This theater is really good and comfortable. The snacks counter is full of good variety as well as the bar. The seats are very comfortable. The clientele can be a little sketchy sometimes but the servers take care of you. They went out of their way so far as to flip up the chairs in the theater to help me find my phone because it went missing. They are friendly and helpful. I definitely think its worth going to.

I honestly prefer this over any other theater because the seats are like recliners (comfy) and everything is in reach

The theater rooms are small but they are comfortable and very relaxing plus the relaxed seats with control settings was so amazing and different.

I watched the lion king here and the audio was very low and the picture did not take up the whole screen, very disappointing. Also the seats we had did not recline, they were broken.. I would not recommend this movie theater to watch newly released movies because the quality is very poor.

This is a wonderful theater. The seats are comfortable and if your a Stubs member the perks with that coupled with the perks on Fandango makes this place a no brainer. Bathrooms are usually dirty tho.

AMC is my favourite date night destination with the love of my life. Their A-List membership is 100% worth every penny. The staff treats us like family and they make us want to come back again and again . Great Job AMC Bakersfield.

Not worth the money. I had a gift card thankfully. The theater was so small so the view of the screen was not very comfortable. There was literally one person working tickets and concessions on Valentines day. Not that great of a impression. Will not be returning to this theater. Maya is where its at!!

Small theater but mighty. Super comfy seats that recline. They serve an extended food menu and alcohol. Also thank you to the staff. My daughter lost her phone and the staff found it and returned to her. Thank you!

I work here in the 80s when it was the UA 6 theater. Its been redesigned to handle a much lower volume of patrons. The food at the snack counter is good they also have alcohol. Beer wine hard alcohol. The theaters are very comfortable. Not as pricey as Studio Movie Grill. But, ticket-buying is just as confusing. If you arent hip to how it works, there is usually an employee standing there to help you. Accept their help :-)

Very nice movie theatre. The seats are comfortable and recline. Seats are numbers like seat row b number 8. You can pick your seats and save them all while ordering your tickets online. Great snack and drink bar. Very nice experience.

Service was excellent. The workers are friendly and always willing to help you. Lobbies are clean. Definitely my go to place to watch movies .

I love what they did to this theater. Complete with cocktails and sliders. My only complaint was I could hear the sound of the movie playing next door during silent time during the movie I was watching. Other than that, its great. Ive only noticed that issue once. Ive seen 5 movies here over the last seven months and I keep going back. I do prefer it over other theaters in town

Movie was Great.. The Lion King. Super annoyed that they IDed me for alcoholic drinks and put a wrist band on me. Come back for a second drink and ask to see my ID.. Why they hell did you put this wrist band on me then. Get it together. Dont put wrist bands on if youre going to ask to see my ID AGAIN WHEN I COME BACK UP.

I currently am part of the A-list. That means for approximately $24 a month you can see up to 3 movies per week. I usually see one or two, but you also get points for concession stand sales and anything from the bar. It has been really great..... great seats, reclining and good popcorn

I was so excited they had a super late late (1:15am) showing for the new Advengers movie. They seem to always be available when other theaters are sold out. The establishment looks great too!!

Went to the theater 2 hours away from our home city (theres no amc in the antelope valley) expecting to use my $25 gift card, the general manager in the amc Bakersfield told me it was expired and I had to call. She was very unhelpful and didnt seem to care we had to pay for our movie. She should of been able to call and verify card balance and honor the transaction instead of saying she cant do anything and that I had to call. So I ended up paying for tickets and I have to make another 2 hour trip to another AMC theater in the future once I get a replacement $25 gift card but it definitely wont be to this location.

Love seeing movies here! The seats recline that makes the movie experience better! Huge bucket of popcorn and the soda size is big too!Con:Food is expensive. I ordered the chicken tenders & theyre so small! Be sure to eat before going to see the movie.

Super hot and stuffy. The new theatre set up sucks and feels even more crowded than it use to. I feel super gross just being here. Never coming back.Only came and stayed due to relatives giving us their redeemable tickets, and they didnt use them due to them hating it here as well.

My respect with this theater. Its a great place to see movies and you feel comfortable as in your home. It has refills on drinks unstoppable for 1 on popcorn. Thank you AMC theater for such a great visit. Look forward to coming soon again.

Used to be the dollar theater. Its very nice upgrade to what it was before. Electric reclining leather chairs. I would give it a 5 stars but it just reminds me too much of the dollar theater that it was before and still isnt as nice as the Maya theater in Bakersfield. It is a very nice theater tho and I highly recommend it.

I love these theatres. My respect with their comfortable chairs, service, and prices. They make you feel right at home.

Really good except super high prices on food and drinks! But the seating is awesome and you can recline the seats. Very comfortable and roomy. There is a bar there for adults to have a drink while watching a movie so thats cool. Also you can get your own sodas and as many refills as you like. You have a lot of options for drinks and you can add flavors like vanilla, cherry and some other ones but I forgot what they were. I will be back even if it costs a arm and a leg to go. My kids loved it.

Nice theater without the long lines. We enjoy going here because there is never long lines. Ill order online and picking up tickets is a breeze. A nice cold alcoholic beverage goes a long way too.

I have a membership & take my son & father all the time, everything usually goes fine. On Monday, my son & I went to see Endgame at the4 pm showing & Ive never had a worse experience at a movie theater. Half way through the movie (its long) we went out for a bathroom break & soda. My son purchased my icee while I went to the restroom. When I came out, he was still at the counter & I could clearly see the girl behind the counter ignoring him. He was waiting for a lid & told me that she was rude, rolled her eyes & said shell get it in a few (there was other patrons around) I asked the girl at the front counter (reading a magazine) if she could restock the lids. She said There are already some over there, I walked over & seen there was none. When I told her, she seemed so angry that she had to slam her magazine on the counter, roll her eyes & walk over to confirm what I said. Then she said shed be back. I watched her go into one of the theaters a movie was playing in & she never did come back out. Its not what you say, but how you say it & those two girls were the rudest & I dont understand why? What happened to maintaining quality customer service? Ive noticed that this is lacking in many establishments. When choosing employees for a companies team, that should be a important deciding factor. People, if you work in customer service, please make sure you make a effort to be pleasant. I know that there are a lot of a-holes out there that can ruin it for you, but there are still many of us out here that really appreciate the effort & it is what will make the experience pleasant.

Great staff, clean theatres, and some pretty tasty popcorn. The AMC A-List helps with 3 movies a week, and gets me out of the house!

Nice place. had fun. reasonable prices. extremely friendly and attentive staffing. only detraction is that this place is not a five start experience, but it is very nice. if you want more comfortable seats and larger screens and speakers, you will have to pay more money i imagine. but this theatre served our purposes quite well

Its much changed since its days as a dollar theater. The prices are still reasonable, but now you get reclining seats that are well spaced so no being kicked in the back or head. As well if you are of age you may purchase adult beverages. For those not of age they have slurpees, and the coke machines with the many different drink options. Overall its a very nice experience.

Favorite theater in town! Seats are comfortable and recline quite a bit. Reserved seating lets you know what seating is available, if the theater will be packed or pretty empty, and allows you to pick your spot. Its also friendly to the handicapped! I was in crutches for a few weeks and they have nice comfortable seating in a good spot for those that need it, as opposed to being in the very front of the theater like other venues. No complaints from me!

I used to come here all the time when it was Starplex. First time since it became AMC and was remolded.Inside is differently improved. Love the air blows in the restrooms. We came to see the early premier of Avengers Endgame (which was great) and the recliners were amazing and why we chose here and not The Reading (which is also great). I have problems with my back and spine and a normal movie Im wiggling around and sloughing to not hurt. But here after 3+ hrs I wasnt hurting at all and planning a trip back very soon.

I recommend being a AMC Stubs member. Its worth the once a year payment. We get discount tickets, $5 rewards. Discounts on snacks. Seats are big and reclining.

I like this theater and its much nicer inside since the remodel but the lobby is just far too small to accommodate everyone. The reclining seats are very nice and the ability to choose your seats is my favorite part of coming here. I hope to see improvements where possible in the future because it seems a little disorganized at the moment.

Its was cold, but it did turn black and didnt show anything but it only happens twice. So I personally think it was really good so I put 5 stars.

They made it too comfy ...now I cant sit through a movie without falling to sleep

Very comfortable seating and I love that they have drink options. Smaller theater than those around town but I like that it has a cozy feel to it.

Chairs are nice. Price is reasonable. The reason for a 3 star is because of the mens restroom needed to be cleaner and the movie started 10 minutes late.

Me and my teen daughter went out for our date and had a great time. The seating was our choice to pick were we sat and the reclining seats were very comfortable. There is a good choice of food and lots of different snacks. The gourmet popcorn was outstanding especially the caramel popcorn. Its priced like other theaters so be ready to pay but it was well worth it in my opinion (especially the caramel popcorn) lol. Overall me and my daughter had a great time there.

We enjoy this place a lot. I would give it five stars; however the bartender there had lied to us about serving alcohol policy and was rude to us. He doesn’t even deserve the tip we gave him. This need to be fixed!!! This happened at 10:15 pm on a Monday June 25.

Newly remodeled. Very nice recliners, not sure how long the reclining function of the seats will last. Cant wait for the beer to be available to purchase. Overall they did a great job with the overall look and feel. Popcorn was freshly popped. 5 stars when beer taps are flowing.

The new reserved seating is fantastic. The recliner chairs are so comfortable that this is now my favorite theatre to go on Bakersfield.

The new theater is amazing compared to the old dollar theater I remember. The recliner seats are super comfortable and adjustable. Was a little disappointed by the packaged tostitos chips and cheese, but it was still hot cheese and not bad. The special movie themed alcoholic drinks were good. Was really impressed using the atom app to pick up my tickets from a machine as well. Well definitely be coming back soon.
