Love this off-leash park! It is about 5 minutes away from my house and Ive been trying to take my pup once a day, for the last couple of months. She loves making new friends and everyone has been super friendly in the years Ive been coming. There are a couple of holes in the fence, so beware if your pup likes to take off. There are part with some standing water where the adventurous pups can cool off.I wouldnt recommend coming here after dark as it is super dark. The only thing I hate about it is that they dont pick up the trash enough. I wish they would empty out the cans more often!

Great spot to bring my 7 month old pup to gain trust with her off leash! She loved playing in the water and getting to explore as I walked close by. For water crossings there are some rickety boards laying across to walk over which is actually kinda fun. There are one or two gaps in the fence so if your dog likes to bolt, beware.

This is an approximately 1 mile closed loop off-leash dog park. My dogs have always enjoyed the freedom to explore and meet new friends here.

My dogs LOVE this park. Great place for them to run. My favorite things:1. It is fenced in. Though there are a number fence gaps to be aware of if you have a dog thats constantly testing a perimeter.2. There are multiple water crossings for them to cool off in. This a must for my dogs when the temperature starts to climb. Though I definitely hose them off before they can come back in the house.3. Trash cans to disposed of waste are stationed at multiple points along the trail.4. Off leash!!Be aware that there is poison ivy when thats in season. And its a cedar forrest, which can pose its own problems for those with an allergy.

The best off leasing area so far. Most of the dogs in the park are very polite even without a leash. Great to jog with your little buddy!

It was okay. It is important to remember to go before sundown as it gets really dark, really fast. Saw 2 deer run across the path confused, running from something, or maybe they were playing. It was very dark and had to use a light at one point. We even saw another person who was lost and he followed us out to the parking lot.

Great trail, my dog loves running around and sniffing all the plants. There’s plenty of trees and some benches where you can sit under cool shade.

So fun! My pups and I had an amazing time. We went at 6pm and it seemed busy. Lots of friendly dogs and people. There are creeks for my pups to splash in and cool off. There seemed to be sufficient shade but there are stretches of sunny spots. Dog poop station right at the entrance.

Not a great dog park—there are far better ones in Austin. Trails are muddy, not well marked. The park is basically not maintained at all. Holes in the perimeter fence everywhere, including the fence that borders a “danger area.” Will not be returning.

I took my senior Staffy here for her first off leash outing and at first she wasnt sure at first but she quickly warmed up to the experience and loved the hike. She met some really friendly dogs and was so well behaved. I loved the walk in a peaceful quiet park. The experience made new so relaxed and peaceful. Will be back on a weekly basis.

A good distance of trails through a wooded area with some small stream crossings and flowers in the spring and summer! A great place to get some steps in and let the dog roam! The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is that it lacks a big open area. Watch out for the mud when its rainy.

My doggos love romping around here. Just a simple clay path around a bunch of cedar scrub, but nice people and close to a larger park with more scenic trails.

I love taking my dog here. There are several different size loops to take your dog on. There are plenty of trash cans around to drop bags into. There are not a lot of bags available (one minor criticism). The park is definitely trails you can take, there arent many large open spaces for a big gathering. There are multiple creek crossings, so dogs can get messy, but the dogs love it.

Its a great place to let you and your dog get some fresh air and nature. No one has to wear a leash! The trails are well maintained with plenty of space within a fenced in area for your dog to stay busy as long as you want them to.

Its seems really clean and well designed. I appreciate the size of the park and the fact that its fenced all around. The parking does seem limited from the side that I entered from. I wish there were more hills or valleys or a pond. Seems pretty straight forward.

Pretty nice! It is all fenced in and whatnot so you can take the leash off of your dog. Its like a big loop around back to the entrance. Its a little muddy when it rains, and there are creeks with wooden bridges over them. There are also trash cans along the way so you can deposit your animals leavings in there. They have plastic bags at the entrance, so you ought to take one if you forget to bring your own.

My dog loved meeting and running here with other doggies. The mud puddles and small shallow streams in spring may have been her favorite. I like that its fenced and dense.

Review №21

Lots of things to sniff and all the dog owners I met or crossed paths with were all very friendly. They warned me to never ever go there when it rains because it turns into a giant muddy mess. Makes sense because the trail seems to be rarely maintained. The walking path is just fine dirt (not crushed rock) so the slightest amount of rain will make it muddy. The trail is not wheelchair, walker, or stroller friendly because theres a deep path cut through the middle where you can tell a lot of water has flowed through. My dog loved our trip regardless of the awful walking path.

This is one of my favorite places in Austin. I can let my dog run around off leash and she is quite safe. There is a creek running through the park as well. In the springtime there are always fireflies. The sunsets are unmatched. Its a little bit if nature right in the middle of S. Austin.

Good trail, but people need to be more responsible about picking up their dog poo. Its about 1.5 miles around. Not a good trail if you have mobility issues as there are lots of roots and stumps on the trail.

Br
Review №28

Its been a favorite for our dog for the last couple years, but it doesnt seem like anyone is maintaining it. Weeds growing tall and onto the trail, bridges are broken down, and the trashcans are overloaded with doggy bags. I would love to volunteer or donate to help keep the trail in good shape but for now we often opt for other places to walk our dog.

Review №33

This place is lovely, its right off the road, open to the public, and offers free parking. They also have periodical stations that offer complimentary bags for picking up dog waste as well as trash cans where you can dispose of them. Many friendly and responsible dog owners use this park so the amount of trash and pet waste is minimal, but it does exist. The biggest downfall is the amount of mud after a significant rain, so make sure you check the forecast before going out. other than that though, this park is perfect for adults and their pets.
