This park used to be a landfill and they (who are they? I want to shake their hands!) have really worked hard to turn it into something quite beautiful. So grateful for the work put into it. I go for a walk in the wooded area nearly every day and it brings me so much joy and serenity. The wildflowers were off the chain this year! They also have a small playground and a basketball court. If you walk the entire loop, its 1 mile. Now, there is a homeless population Ive noticed when Ive gone off trail in the forest to the left if entering from Catalina, but I have not had any negative or unsafe experiences personally and it doesnt bother me. The pond is the thing that I feel could use some help. It is often littered with trash. Ill see about organizing regular cleanups.

Its a nice park that has activities such as trick bikes, scare bords, trails and a closed swimming pool. Very nice

My pup & I really enjoy the well kept fields & trails! Theres plenty of wildlife, beautiful views, and even a pond. This park has a playground, a skate park, trails, wooded areas, & wide open fields. This is a great place to go on a nice day to enjoy time with your family, walk your dog & make some new furry friends, or just jog the trails & enjoy the scenery.

Great park with parks, skate areas and grass abound. My only issue is that pets must be on leash, and my pup just loves to run around making friends. We still visit often due to the size and location.

Run here all the time, basketball courts are okay they have no nets. They have a decent skate park, the pool, small nature trails to walk in the fields and lots of wild life. Definitely good for a peaceful walk or bird watching. Small lake in the back dont eat the fish!

Nice place, very clean with places for folks to sit in the shade. Took my son here while my wife was taking a test up the street at Prometric. Kids we very polite and my son had a good time.

Such a absolutely magical place , mother nature at its finest right in the middle of the city.

Sucks that the city can’t keep the light bulbs operating. It’s a major safety hazard.

This is the best skate park my son and I have visited in Austin so far.

Everything was dead. It was so hot outside I didnt go far. It looked like some nice trails were alone the way. And I got some flowers. The pool looked refreshing. No shade. And skate park is dope

I truly enjoy this park and my German Shepherd loves it, just remember always keep your eyes open for, stranger danger, theres a lot of homeless and mentally, insane people in the, stay on trails at Park.

Its great for back trailing and having a BBQ and summer swims but also u have the neighborhood that cares and loves pets please dont forget the furry babies they arent to be abandoned. It is a decent size park

Mabel Davis is a great park o the south side of Austin. Theres a facility set up for skateboards, like ramps and a bowl, a few jumps, picnic tables, grills, a 4 hop0 basketball court, and lots of land for exercising or just enjoying nature. A decent sized pool for the summer months as well. Good place to kill a little time.

Nothing special about this park.

It is a nice park, but the homeless people there act like they own the place. They sleep in the woods, and playground at times. The homeless make it very uncomfortable for me to go walking let alone take my kids to the park. Besides that the walking trail is very nice its a mile long. If you do decide to go to this park bring protection. I just left from there today, and it seems like even more people are staying out there since SXSW. BE VERY CAREFUL OUT THERE ESPECIALLY IF YOU BRING YOUR CHILDREN.

A good place to go and get the fill as if your out in the country. Wonderful for the kiddos the wont get bored!

Small skate park and defunct swimming pool (at least as of late summer 2017) surrounded by small patch of woods where deer can be spotted grazing. Very odd place to see deer considering there may be an acre or two maximum of wooded/we wild looking area left. Kids seem to enjoy the concrete street park

Great Park, beautiful Forest. A nice ring Road about 1.8 miles of lovely landscapes. There is a pond basketball courts and a pool. Alongside the usual amenities for children. I come here every day, I love it!

Small and bare

While at the park with my kids , i sat on a park bench facing the opposite direction from my kids . Within minutes a druggy came from out the bushes to lure them into the bushes with him. Im disappointed i let me guard down due to the fact there was a staff operating the pool and many adults in the skating ramps. I had my head phones on listening to a audio book. Thank God my intuition told me to turn around. I walked over to interrupt their interaction and i told my kids its time to go. When i walked up the guy was silent and i asked my kids what was he talking about and the guy said “ i asked them if they seen my wife” which was very confusing because of the fact that there was over 30 adults through out the park but he choose the ask kids. To mention i was only a few feet away from my kids with my back turned. No other words where needed for me to use my best judgement and gtf from around there before i became upset. Moral of the story please watch your kids or women carry protection.

Loved going to the pool and park when I was growing up in the area. Just beware of the pond and waterways....the entire park is build over an old Austin landfill.

The skatepark here is really nice and has elements for different skill levels, but they dont have readily available bathrooms unless the pool is open, which it rarely ever is. There are a couple of portable toilets on site, but between the heat and the lack of cleanliness I wouldnt go near them or allow my children to.Theres a small playground near the back, thats entertaining for small children (ages 2-5), but it leaves much to be desired for bigger kids. There are a couple of basketball courts that are in good condition, though they would do well to build cover to block some of the sunlight (gets too hot for small children).The trail is pretty nice too, and you might see a few deer during your jog. Bring bug spray and water.

Nice trails for walking and running. Its dog friendly. Its scenic with views of wildlife (deer) in the evenings. There is a picnic area with a charcoal grill. The skate park is open year around and the swimming pool is seasonal. It costs $3.00.

Love this park behind our house. The trail is perfect for a short walk or run and the playground is a favorite for my son. I wish the homeless camp in the woods would be disbanded.

I like this place, its fun. Everyone here is usually considerate, always taking turns. No bogarting. Very cool. It is kinda small though,but whatever. Still sweet.

One of the few remaining 50 meter pools. Its in rough shape but its cold all year round because its so big. Dont worry about the fizzing bubbly cracks at the bottom of the pool. Just swim your laps and go. The city is too poor (ya right) to fix it. Hope you dont need to use the restroom because they are usually really gross and in major disrepair. Im sure this doesnt encourage people to pee in the pool though. Usually it is very easy to get a lap lane and no uppity people will demand you share a lane and swim 3 in 1 in loops because they cant wait. Its very laid back and I like that about it.

Love seeing the wildlife everything we visit. The path that loops around is great for running or walking. Park could have trashed picked up a bit more frequently.

Skated for 4 hours in here, great flow in the park, you dont get bored easy

This park has a great skate park and playground. The trails would be best enjoyed on a bike, as they just loop around the large open grassy areas.
