This was my first trip to Austin and I am so glad we on this city tour. Our driver Milan was knowledgeable and made the trip more fun by adding her stories tot he standard narration. This $25 trip was well worth it. Comfortable clean cool van carried us around the whole town including the top of hill country to see the million dollar homes and breathtaking views of the lake.

Open to air bus tryp in the city of Austin, the bus not only take you on the road tryp but also on the water. One tryp gives you two type of experience!! The drive of the Bus/Captain of the ship give a good commentary which gives the information about the city and make the tryp interesting and exciting. The tryp is arount 1hour and 15 minutes long and being you back to the starting point. There is a sovinere shop in the center from where you can buy the memory of your tryp to Austin USA.

Even though I’ve lived here since 2010 I’m not much of a partier so I had to figure out what to do for New Year’s Eve. Natalie was beyond helpful. She helped me figure out exactly what I was going to do and what my options were. Mind you I know how to navigate the Internet but the information out there was confusing and I really wanted a personal touch of somebody who knew Austin we’ll. I am so glad that there is someone you could talk to and ask these questions to and who is exceptionally helpful. Thank you Natalie and thank you Austin visitor center!

Harrison was enormously helpful to us. We walked in off of the street, barely knowing our way around Austin and left 10 minutes later with an annotated map and directions to several great sites nearby. We also learned about a great walking tour the next day. Thank you Harrison!

This is a great place to stop and check in. Awesome knowledgeable people ready to give great advice about the city and awesome places to visit, eat, and drink! Our tour met there as a starting point. But we got there a bit early and had a chance to peruse all of the amazing items. My group ended up deciding it was worth it to come back after our tour and buy some goods. Bottom line cool place to stop and cool off. Get info and even a cold water or soda to go with you.

We got tickets to the Austin Duck Tour online, then got there almost an hour early to ensure we wouldnt miss the tour. They announced the bus was ready and people literally stormed the bus. In the time my husband waited for be to come out of the restroom, the bus was full and about 12 of us will told to come back for a later tour. Another family told us this exact thing happened to them the day prior. It looks like theres some precedence to them overselling the bus, then kicking people off when its full. So yeah, get there early and book it for the bus. Or maybe skip the duck tour altogether

This visitor center was awesome. I first went there to store my bag for the day in downtown. The staff was super helpful and it was only $8.I picked up a map and ended up going to a few suggested places. I would highly recommend stopping in if you are in Austin, the staff was super knowledgeable. They also have tours starting from the location and there is a parking garage right next door.

Pretty awesome space! Its changed a lot since the hey days. There is a small space for events. I was there for the Music Video Festival and it was a cool spot. My favorite thing are all the local wares from hot sauce to kitchen towels made by artists in Austin. They are fun and really touch on the personality of Austinite. Even if you live here, its worth checking the items out and supporting local creators. Also, dont forget to check out this cool neon sign!

Hard to find during construction. Nice staff. More store than information center.

Je
Review №40

Not really a visitor center, its more of a central booking site for various tours, and a retail store for various tourist-y items. There are a handful of booklets that a traveler would find helpful, but this is nothing like other visitor centers weve visited around the country. Its in a section of town with no nearby tourist attractions. If you are in the area, go ahead and stop in, but dont go out of your way to go there like we did.

From food recommendations to historic areas and sites to museums and cultural centers. Harrison knows his town!

I like the busyness of the place. Duck tour was informative and enjoyable. I like it better than the Double Decker because it goes into the lake and enjoy the beautiful scenery with the kids.Men watch out! You have to find the secretly hidden sign to guide you into the MENS restroom. If you go by assumption (as a visitor), youll end up in the ladies one! They dont have a common entrance.

This is a great place to learn about the many attractions Austin has to offer. I used this as a home base before I could check into my hotel. $7 per bag is more than worth the convenience of exploring 6th Street unencumbered. The staff is so nice and very helpful.
