Review №1

This review is for a small, cozy theater, on the UT campus, the McCullough theater.Parking is on your own, since this was late at night, I parked in the LBJ Library and Museum parking lot. This parking lot is a very close walk down to this charming theater. This theater has a friendly staff of volunteers, and that is something that I enjoy immensely. The volunteers were helpful, enthusiastic, and made me feel very welcome. The small lobby had an interesting sculpture, and did offer drinks during the intermission. My seats were towards the front of the theater, a little bit to stage left. I think I had some of the best seats in the house. The show was fabulous, the lighting and the sound quality just perfect. I would give the theater five stars, except that I have an exceptionally sensitive derrière. I have to be sitting in a pretty plush theater seat, to give a theater a five. When the seats are too small, or too short, or too hard, it might interfere just a little bit with the experience of the show. I found myself shifting around from side to side, trying to get comfortable. And I am 59 so Im not on the too tall side either. If I could write this review based only on the performance that I attended, I would have to give this theater a five. The show, let the right one in, deserves as many stars as possibly could be given to any performance. This is a performance I would recommend to anyone else to try to go see.

Nice smaller theater right next to Bass Concert hall on UT campus. Easy to find & close to the San Jacinto parking garage for easy access to people who are driving to a concert. They even have a little snack bar set upso you can purchase a snack or a beverage while waiting for the show to start

Small, intimate theatre on U T Austin campus. A bit dated, some of the rows have lost their labels.

Love this comfortable theatre where there are NO bad seats. As a mobility impaired patron, accessibility usually means seating assignments that come with a complimentary set of high-powered binoculars! Although still at the back edges of McCullough Theatre, the venue lends itself to a sense of inclusion. I find myself transported by the skilled performers who regularly grace this stage, rather than the remote detachment that comes with great distance and compromised views.* One star removed for extreme difficulty in finding van accessible handicapped parking. There are only THREE for both McCullough & adjacent Bass Concert Hall. I am also forced to pay $12 parking, because there are ZERO handicapped spaces in the ample Free Zone parking area. This is a discriminatory fee... as it is ONLY the handicapped spaces that are charged for every event.
