I was a veteran student here. Its a ripoff! Your credits ONLY transfer to another Art Institute! They charge WAY too much and they ARE NOT military friendly! They are also holding my official transcript saying I owe them more money before they will release them! I was a VA student! Everything was paid by VA! They are a huge SCAM!!! Run the other way!! Dont even walk in their doors!

I could go on about all the bad this school does but heres all you need to know. In one quarter six of the game art teachers quit because of the awful conditions of this scam school. They replaced them with online classes that in no way shape or form should be called classes. That should tell you everything right there.

You get duped into thinking you will do something you love . Then you find out most of the instructors don’t even teach they send you to YouTube when you have a question. The admin is always messing up paperwork . Graduating this quarter and wishing I had never come to this waste of a school. There are a select few really got instructors who actually care. Very few though

This school cost WAY TOO MUCH. I am transferring to ACC for the same major for MORE than HALF the cost (that is, if my credits are even transferable). I will be in debt when I leave this institute. The amount I will owe is more than graduating from ACC. Ive only been going for a year and I already owe $8k. By the time I graduate, I will owe $30k and my parents will owe 80k. That is more than the University of Texas and with finical aid (which covers $5k of my tuition). This school is obviously not for the middle class. Like a different user said, some of the teachers care and some dont. I agree when the students work in groups, its a lot worse than in high school. Students are bringing other students down because no one participates in assignments. The school doesnt provide the materials you need. I spent about $550 in 11 weeks for one class (out of my own pocket). I HIGHLY recommend to NOT attend this school if you do not want to be debt, have good teachers, and much more. I honestly wish I never attended this school.

I dont reccommend shucking out $500/credit hour for this school. If youre going for something like photography or graphic design (which is what I was majoring in) go to a community college. Attending the Art Institute is not worth it. Youll get the same education at a community college! Dont waste your money!

For profit schools are a rip off. You can tell by their general business practices as well that theyre predatory. I inquired about a baking class and received 5 calls in one day.

Im going into my second year and I have already learned so much more in one year at The Art Institute than I learned in 4 years of high school. The school is full of caring faculty and theres always some kind of fun event going on. Its an expensive school but so worth it.

The AI school system gets a lot of flake because the COMPANY that own the school did some illigal recruiting a few years back. I know that can be discouraging, but the accreditation has not been lost, so your degree is still good if youre thinking of going into any graduate programs after getting your BFA.Im a DFVP student here, and I have to say, my experience the past two years has been excellent. Ive learn so many things that I didnt know about in the film industry and what not. Ive hone my skills as an editor and a writer, and have networked with a bunch of like minded people. The instructors in my curriculum are very knowledgeable about what they do, and really do care if you do well. This is not a school for the lazy. The work isnt particularly hard, but its in abundance, and if you dont do your work, then dont expect to pass. Attendance is also taken very seriously. Miss more than two days? Youre automatically failed. If you miss because of emergency reasons, talk to your academic advisers though. Theyll help you out. (I missed a few extra days because of swine flu once.)Also if you think that its their responsibility to find you work once you graduate, think again. That falls on you, just like it does with every other higher education institution.

This school is actually a scam. There are tons of free resources out there now on YouTube and other sites that charge just a few dollars on tutorials like kiwijuice by Anthony Jones and fzd by feng zhu. People from the actual industry showing you the up to date in the gaming industry. Email me if you would like more help.

I was a veteran as well, and every military base in the world helps you study for exams and college preparation if you seek it, Im tired of homeless veteran sob stories. Sorry you suck at math. Perhaps that wasnt the school you were meant to attend, but AI is there to help.

This place does not deserve a single star. Its a rip off. The administration only cares about making money and keeping up revenue streams. Its essentially a technical college, but the tech is dated.

This school is the WORSE school you could possibly go to. the teachers dont care or teach anything! the kids smoke pot all day and bring the other kids down with them since everything done in that school is based on group assignments. teachers fail to mark down the assignments after they grade them so it looks like youre failing the class when youre not. i wish i read the reviews for this school before allowing my brother to go there.
