I wish I could do the marketing for these people because Ive lived in Austin for 7 years and it took family from out of town saying they wanted to go to a local art place in Austin for our party to find it. Im SO stoked its on my radar now, the people we brought there ended up buying a few incredible pieces and got to meet the artist of one. It was a great trip, and Id recommend anyone go. If youre local, theyre always changing theyre artwork from local artists. If youre a visitor, this is a must see. Finally, something that makes me feel like Austin isnt losing all of its authenticity.

Awesome place! The goal was to find something different than everywhere else. Something unique, something Texas. Mission accomplished. The staff are very friendly & the young lady at the counter was especially helpful. She even committed to the artist coming in themselves to to frame the art that was purchased! This place has several great pieces of art. I went in just to browse and get an idea of what was available to decorate my home. I found so many pieces I loved. I ended up buying 4 paintings from the Robots in Rowboats collection by Laura Briere. Very happy with my purchase.

I was really impressed with all of the artwork here. I purchased a few prints as well. The person behind the counter was really friendly and the artwork was not insanely expensive. They also ship so of youre from out of town you dont need to worry about traveling with the art. If youre an admirer of the arts and want to see some cool local stuff I recommend this place!

A little difficult to find a place to park, but eventually we found one. A little hard to find as well, but just keep an eye out for the sign on Lamar and turn in when you see it. Its back on the left, park where you can. Great prices for local artists. Glad we went and will check back again.

Awesome Customer Service, the female artist was also selling her art herself, and gave us great photography knowledge. We are local Realtors and where looking for art pieces for our clients, this gallery has so much inspiration. Loved the huge framed photo graphics.

Excellent spot for picking up art from local artists. If they dont have a particular size of a certain piece youre looking for just ask the employees. They can reach out to the artist to see if its attainable. A lot of artist that seek work at the blue genie Christmas market can be found here. So if you were eyeing something at blue genie but didnt pull the trigger on a purchase (my wife and I every year...). I would definitely stop by here to see if they have it. Go and support your local artists!

Our favorite gallery in Austin. Affordable, eclectic, and stocked with local rising artists. Guarantee youll see the works of many of AAGs mainstays at other artsy locations around town, but with a markup. Its easy to miss the sharp turn-in from Lamar, but youll enjoy this tucked away hit.

My wife and I have visited this gallery a few times now. We love that they are an outlet for up and coming Austin artists. I also appreciate the variety of their selection. You can find originals and prints here, allowing you to choose from a variety of sizes and prices for your artwork. The few times we have been the staff has always been friendly and helpful. Check out their full selection on the web or go in to browse! They also have a computer there so you can browse their online catalog in the store.

My wife and I visited the Austin Art Garage today in search of some local art to bring back home from our honeymoon. This place is amazing. The artwork is stunning and the service was excellent. We found some pieces we loved and Erin helped us sort it all out and also gave us a locals guide of all her fave spots to check out. So sweet. Also, while we were there we had the pleasure of meeting Jason Eatherly just as we were picking up one of his pieces for purchase! One love, Jim

Oh, my goodness! We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE The Art Garage! My girls have been attending story time, camps, classes, and Valentine Daddy/Daughter night and birthday parties (so much fun!) at The Art Garage for several years. Across the board, we have consistently received stellar customer service, insightful art education and kind attention from Kelly, Renai and Amanda.My 6 and 8 year old have learned several different mediums for creation: sculpture, glass fusion, painting, drawing and of course, tie-dying--well beyond what they learned in their school art class!I love that I can walk across the center to take a yoga class or grab a treat at Better Bites Bakery, too! As an Austinite that loves local business, its helpful to know that this is a locally owned and operated art studio, and its in the heart of a local business shopping center!You are going to LOVE the people and the offerings at The Art Garage. They say create and be happy is their motto, and I say, Im HAPPY, indeed!
