A South Austin tribute to the friends and notable people who have been instrumental in helping Austin become the city of compassion and the Live Music Capitol of the World. They may be gone, but they certainly are not forgotten. ️ Stop by and visit the museum, and look for live outdoor music performances. Seating is limited to so you will need to bring your own chair.

Weird AF.I went there looking for a music agency whos P.O. Box os located here...found this strange shop instead. Was not disappointed.Bought a vape pen -partially because I wanted to buy something from this place just to remind me of it, and partially because vape life. Neat little gizmo. Ran me $15.

Its amazing to stop & soak in the tributes to all of the famous south Austinites who have passed on. I was born & raised in S Austin yet still learned quite a lot by just stopping to read the tributes for 5 minutes. I highly suggest dropping by here to check it out!

This is one of the best places I visited in Austin. A cultural landmark run by people who care immensely about the city and its music history. Probably the friendliest staff at any venue I have visited. Really, thank you so much for telling us your stories!

The old Austin hip vibe runs deep here. Non-profit that shows local artists, including a lot of poster artists from the glory days of Armadillo, Soap Creek, and all the good old music venues of the 60s thru the 80s. There is a Memoriam Wall dedicated to past musicians and scenesters of the Golden Age of hip Austin.

The Planet K shop personal treat us rudely and told us to leave the store cause my son was carrying a small plastic toy on his pocket that he previously asked me to get for him and I told him yes , it was $2.95 so why not.. we were shopping still, not ready to pay yet, and all of a sudden a tall blonde lady told me: “your son had this in his pocket, you all gotta leave” I told her that I was going to pay for it and she kept saying “you all gotta leave” We left and didn’t purchased anything of course. We are from Mexico, I felt that she just assumed we were dishonest persons? Idk I just felt so humiliated. I’d understand her attitude if we try to leave the store without paying but we were still there. So disappointed.

Mostly kind. Had a hard time talking to the staff and getting a polite response back. Although they were quirky and funny about it, there were still very rude, and I spent over $200 there. Constantly pestered with can I help you until Im ready to check out and it was like pulling teeth to get what I wanted from behind the counter. I would visit again for sure, the museum is awesome, just the people who work at the shop are rude.

While the exhibit they had was interesting, I fell they should devote at least half the space to their collection and the other 1/2 to rotating exhibit. Instead it was about 90% of the exhibit. I would have liked to see more of that they have.

Oddly, the See inside is actually a tour of the very cool outside environment of the SAPCC. But, the Street view, if you click on the building, will abruptly transport you to a 3D tour of the inside of the Center, where a show by photographer Ken Hoge is on display.
