I come here often for their fun and colorful art openings! It’s my go-to gallery to bring out of town guests and friends. Truthfully, a very well curated gallery that’s bursting at the seems with local talent and undiscovered gems. Don’t forget to pet the pugs and enjoy the complimentary kombucha! This gallery specifically makes me feel proud to live in Austin

Like the amazing variety found at the food trailer grotto up the street, Art for the People has an amazing variety of works worth spending time admiring and/or acquiring; and it is embedded in a real South Austin neighborhood for the people ... though the bulldozers are now at work on condos for the developers! Enjoy it while you can!

Absolutely the best art gallery Ive ever been represented by. Lynnie and Hallie Ray are abundantly patient, good spirited, and knowledgeable. Ive passed by this gallery multiple times before I ever went in. No idea why, because the outside looks cool too. Inside is amazing. The artist selection they represent is spectacular, truly. They attract talent like bees to honey. There is too much to enjoy in a single visit, and it doesnt feel crowded at all. This place is a gem, I cannot overstate this.

Staff was insanely friendly and even offered us free kombucha. They have two little dogs that are friendly as well and one greated us at the door! Their selection is fun and eclectic. While we were in there they were setting up an exhibition for a local artist. They also were chatting with an artist about their piece in the store and were incredibly supportive of them. Smaller shop but I recommend checking it out.
