The prices were a little steep in this art studio, but my family had SO MUCH FUN! The Art Garage allows you to walk in and paint pottery, make mosaics, fuse glass or paint canvases! They have a project for every age and craftsmanship level. Best of all, the staff is terrific!

My fiance and I have visited The Art Garage twice (so far) and have absolutely loved our experience. The staff are warm, welcoming, and make sure that you have everything you need to craft whatever your heart desires. We enjoyed our first visit so much that we made sure to visit again for an anniversary date! 5/5 stars for a fun, comfortable, and unique artistic experience.

Absolutely LOVE this place. Ive gone to two outstanding classes and cant wait to go to more!! The first class I went to was a cocktail making course that was so fun and great way to kick-off a night out. The second was a flower arranging The Art Garage. While polar opposite classes, both were fun, enlightening, and an all around blast. The teachers definitely know how to teach and have a great time! This is a great date night idea or just a night out with the girls.

Came here for a birthday party and the kids loved the place - the ceramics were more expensive than I have seen at other places like this - $55 for a dragon - but it was clean, well organized and friendly.

I brought my mom to The Art Garage last Saturday as a Mothers Day activity. I always look for fun, creative things we can do when she is in town for a visit. We didnt know exactly what we were getting into when we arrived, but within a few minutes we were diving into the possibilities of fun art activities!1. There are SO MANY OPTIONS!!! You choose from different kinds of crafts ( canvas, mosaic, glasswork, greenwear) and within those options, there is a huge variety of ways to do a project! The only limit is the imagination!2. The staff is ridiculously sweet, friendly, helpful, kind, and SUPPORTIVE!!! They show you the options and then teach you how to do the craft you chose. They are so sweet, I swear they are made of sugar!3. The layout of the space is so well thought out. There can be birthday parties, friend groups, couples, and individuals and the space can fit those needs. It was impressive how they had separate party rooms, but also how they had varied table arrangements to suit all kinds.4. The place was packed when we went. So many kids parties and friend groups! If it looks a little wild when you show up, just go do it anyway! The parties only last so long and people matriculate out pretty easily. The staff is well poised to the busy environment. Things will most likely taper off and you will get lots of time to work on your project! If you dont love crowds, just go a little later in the day.5. We really appreciated that we could work as long as we wanted on our projects. This was a huge plus as we get way into our art! There was never any pressure to hurry.Thanks to The Art Garage for being the highlight of our weekend!

If you’re looking for a place to make a cool art project, go here! My son has been attending the storytime art class for the past year and always enjoys his time there. The staff is very patient and kind. The storytime art classes are perfectly structured for littles. We live in the opposite side of town but feel it is worth it to make the drive to this location.

This is was great experience for my little artist. The staff was gracious and super helpful. We just walked in, with no class or appointment. The staff helped us pick a project and gave us tips and pointers to help us achieve our artistic visions. We loved having access to all their cool art supplies and knowledge (bonus: Mom didnt have to clean any of it up!) Great for gifts!! We painted pottery and it was fired and ready to pick up in about a week. They have lots of other arts to choose from (canvas painting, tile mosaics, fused glass) & my little artist cant wait for our next visit.

I took my grand daughters here..one age 7 one age 5. They had a great time making a mosaic project each and a figurine painting project each. The staff was friendly...explained each project and checked with us frequently. The cost varies (depending on the project they picked) but includes all necessary supplies to complete.I would recommend The Art Garage to anyone who wants something REALLY fun to do with the youngsters. Check their website for daily hours as they vary a bit. The grand kids are already anxious to return to do another project! This place gets the Nana seal of approval.

My husband, daughter and son came to the Art Garage to try our hands on pottery projects. We so enjoyed our time there. It is really a uniquely wonderful place with very nice people who are quite informative and helpful. After the pottery projects, we tried our hands at glass fusion. This is a great place for children and adults alike to try their hands at some creative projects. Thank you for providing a space for creative outlets.

Great studio with THOUSANDS of projects to choose from! Owner & staff are extremely helpful, kind, encouraging, and care deeply about the service they provide. Hosted my bridal shower here, celebrated several birthdays creating at the studio with friends, & fully expect to host my kid’s bday parties here one day. They have awesome summer camps and art classes for kids, too. Check it out, y’all!

This is a wonderful place to get out of your gadgets world. We did a glass fusion and it came out really well. A good thing about this place is walk-ins at any time they are open so you dont have to worry about your schedule. Kids would really love this place.

Two of my best friends and I went to The Art Garage to paint canvas one night. The instructor was so cool and helpful! We all created these awesome, really unique paintings and had so much fun. I cant wait to go make something else! The glass fusion looks really cool, too (: Overall, I had a great experience.

The Art Garage is a great experience!! I learned so much in my first Wheel Throwing lesson...I hope to make wonderful pottery in the very near futured

This is a great place to hang out and paint either with family or friends. There is a vast selection of items in different prices ranges that are suitable for anyones budget. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. At The Art Garage, everything you need to create a nice piece is within arms reach.

My daughter, who is 6, did a two-week art camp here in June 2014. Everyone that works there is really nice and they do interesting crafts and arts with the kids. Its a good program, glad we did it. It was reasonably priced for a 2 week camp.

The staff is outstanding. The art experiences available are varied and open a childs imagination.

I cant believe I havent already written a raving 5 star review about The Art Garage, their big-hearted owner and the staff who go above and beyond for the kids and adults in their community, but I just called to register for another Valentine date night and figured its about time!My girls have been attending story time, camps, classes, and Valentine Daddy/Daughter night at The Art Garage for several years. Across the board, we have consistently received stellar customer service, insightful art education and kind attention from the staff and owner. I have several of my daughters art creations from the art classes on display at home, and I love the multi-sensory and playful instruction they offer!My 6 and 8 year old have learned several different mediums for creation: sculpture, glass fusion, painting, drawing and of course, tie-dying--well beyond what they learned in their school art class! Their understanding of kinds of art and famous artists has grown exponentially during our visits and participation there, and Ive learned quite a few new things, myself!As an Austinite that loves local business, its helpful to know that this is a locally owned and operated art studio, so the owner is heavily invested in her community and all of the people that come to create.The Art Garage motto is create and be happy, which is exactly how we feel every single time we visit: happy! I highly recommend a visit to this sweet little creative spot in SW Austin, especially if you are looking to expand your childs fine motor skills, creativity and knowledge for art!
