The pandemic of 2020 has brought forth positivity...I would not have found this Nature Preserve if I was traveling out of the area. With staying closer to home I have found so many local joys. Enjoy great peace on this hiking trail. A future envision of a paved multi-use trail around the wetlands along with picnic areas to box lunch would be awesome.

Very easy walk, but very peaceful. Only saw two other people while out there which made it feel like I had the woods to myself. Some really nice viewpoints of different bodies of water along the 2 mile walk. I didnt see any big birds like eagles or herons, but I can imagine this is the kind of the space to see them. I did see two kingfishers dancing together over a pond which made my day.East and relatively accessible walk Id recommend to anyone looking to immerse in nature.

Short, easy, level trail with 7 small ponds. Good opportunities for wildlife sighting

This is a nice park to go for a walk on thats conveniently located close to my parents house.Weve come here a couple of times. The trails are probably only a couple miles or less total. We usually take the path through the seven ponds thats across the street from the parking lot. You start on a path through the woods and then it meanders through the ponds to loop back.We usually take the short trail from the parking lot to the eagles nest lookout. We saw the eagles nest on our most recent trip but no eagles. Its a short and flat walk that would be good for all ages. It was a little muddy last time but not too bad.Check it out if youre in the area and looking to get outside!

Great little trail, winds around a few bogs and plenty of scenery. No elevation changes. Clean and well-maintained. Pretty well isolated from road noise, nice sense of seclusion. Very few visitors, small parking lot.

Really nice park to just get right out of the park and be able to walk down a trail. What I like best is there is no dogs allowed on the trails. Some folks will hate me for saying that, but I get tired of having to dodge doggie dropping. Or the folks who just decide to dump their bag on the trail...They have several benches on the trails to be able to sit and relax over looking several different ponds and n swamps. Must see if enjoy a slow walk down a trail!

Beautiful and isolated little trail! Theres a .3 mile out-and-back trail to an overlook and a 1.8 mile loop trail that winds all around different ponds!

This is a good place to hike. The trails are gravel and no mud. Saw a bald eagle and crane on todays hike. Had the park all to our selves today.

A nice park around several lakes and ponds. A bit buggy in the summer but a nice short hike with a lot of biodiversity.

Wonderful and beautiful place. Please follow the signs and dont bring your pets. This is a nature preserve, not a park.

This is a State park placed in a location that was scoured by glaciers in the ice age. There are fossils in the streams and gullies. The ponds have lots of kinds of plants. Unfortunately, there are flies that will harass you. I cover-up as much as possible with a hat, wrap around glasses long sleeves and pants. The scenery is gorgeous I always take too many photos.

Some of my favorite trails in the area. (I live in Cleveland.) Doesnt seem like many people visit this little gem tucked away in some woods. Signs of beavers everywhere! The trails are fairly easy in good weather. I dont recommend the Lonesome Pond Trail in mosquito season though.

Nice place for a secluded trail jog. Be sure to protect against mosquitoes - they are REALLY happy to have you for snack on the trails.
