Two well kept playgrounds, a beautiful walking path around the lake, several covered picnic areas, public restroom that is passably clean ... Whats not to like? Big enough park to not feel risky with a pandemic on. Scenery is gorgeous, especially in fall. I highly recommend it for photo taking.

This is a park for everyone. You can take quiet hikes through the woods, or walk along the paved trail around the lake. There are activities for all and it is a beautiful place to spend time at. There are many kinds of birds and animals that call this their home.. Just come see for yourself..

Take a walk on paved trails through woods and around the lake. It has an exercise point, dog park, kids play area, picnic shelters, many parkings, various trees with names on it. Fishing can be done with city permit.

Great park. Playgrounds, several picnic pavilions, disc golf, paved trail and unpaved trails, sand volleyball, fishing, ball fields, kayaking, dog park. There is lots of parking on both the North and South ends of the lake. The geese here are territorial and do a lot of hissing, just walk right into them, they wont attack and theyll back down. This park is very similar to Hudson Springs Park except that Sunny Lakes trail is paved, is not as wide, relatively flat, close to the water and a lot less forested.

Beautiful park. Where have I been? I grew up in Aurora and do not remember this place. Large enough to be socially distant from everyone.

The park has many things to do. Its a very well kept park. The lake could use a little work but its always been that way. We visit all the time! Check it out for yourself.

We stopped by to let our littles stretch our legs. All I can say is what a beautiful space. Well maintained, clean, and I wish we would have had time to rent a kayak or 4.

Great place for a walk. Beautiful all times of year. If youre fishing, it requires an Aurora licence not an Ohio Fishing Licence. They sell them there... reasonable price. You can rent boats too

Two play areas for kids, nice paved walking trail, disc golf, boat rentals, fishing, and other walking trails through the woods. You can purchase a fishing license for the lake at the boat house.

It was plenty to do the weather was GORGEOUS the trails are spacious,just beautiful.

It was an okay trail, but at one point we had to wade through an absolute SEA of angry geese.

Nice kids playground. Really would like to walk the trail around the lake. Looks pretty long. Was visiting my son in Ohio from Illinois and didnt have time to walk it. Maybe next year when I go visit, I will get to walk it.

Ive always enjoyed taking my furbabies for a walk at Sunny Lake. Its a very beautiful Park with the trail circling the lake. My only complaint is the goose poo, I know they cant stop the geese from visiting but its a pain in the butt dodging the droppings. I enjoy the memorial trees that they have planted throughout the park, this was a very considerate thing to let visitors do. Keep up the good work Aurora!

One of my favorite walks alone or with my kids, the path is paved all the way around and well kept. Several playground areas, always friendly people and beautiful views. Fall time is absolutely gorgeous ️

Well maintained. I love this place and that it’s right on the water. A great place for kids and people just looking for a nice place to get some exercise.

Nice park! They have row boats with and without motors and paddle boats. 10$ 1 hour on the paddle and 10$ for 4 hours in the row boat (when rowing). I think an extra 5$ if you want the motor. We used the paddle first and then the row boat without the motor. I def recommend the row boat if you want to go out for, paddle boat is good for shorter distances. Theyre is also fishing, a park with a nice playground, benches, same volley ball, swings, picnic tables under cover, and a walking trail (not sure if you can ride bikes-assuming you can) that goes so the way around the lake. A nice place to take kids or just for a fun time with your significant other. There is no swimming in this lake.

Love this park that is tucked away. Walk around the lake, it is absolutely beautiful. Partially paved and fairly easy to walk. Does get pretty busy on a nice day.

My family and I love this park. I like that they have 2 different childrens play grounds, a dog park and mile markers around the lakes walking path to track your progress. I use the exercise equipment often. You can also rent a boat and fish too. They have a great fall Festival every year.

Grew up here and used to love this park. Now you cant even fish here without a city permit. Better find a way to get one from parks and rec cause boathouse doesnt have posted hours...

Decent park. Decent sized playground. It has a sand volleyball court, horseshoe pins, paddle boats to rent, plenty of parking, outhouse building and lots of picnic tables and benches. Nice place for a nice day.

Very nice park! Always enjoy the summer days here with the perfect lake and forest views. Good spot for a picnic or a lunch break too!

Absolutely beautiful! The lake is clean as is the park. It has a jungle set for the young kids and Paddle boats for the older ones. Grills for cooking out. There is a trail all around the lake and people are often walking or running. It is a peaceful place. If you go early enough, you will hear the birds in the morning waking up. Beau th ik full place, serene. Highly recommend for children, adults and all ages.

A dog friendly park, that has moderate foot traffic. Well kept paved area for walking, running or biking. Ample amount of parking and it has onsite bathrooms (main entrance area), as well as a porta potty located near then back entrance. There are swings and benches to relax and take in all the surroundings of nature. There is also a dog park.

Nice place for a walk. They charge to fish, which we didnt. We did see a water snake in the lake.

This is our sixth year going to Sunny Lake!! We are huge fans! Mason, the boat man, is fantastic! He almost called the Coast Guard to rescue us!

Nice place to walk the dog or go for a run. All well maintained asphalt trails circling Sunny Lake. Two parking areas, one North by the disc golf and playground, and a larger one to the South by Pavillions and boat rentals. There is also a dog park within walking distance.

Great place to go for a run or walk. Nice wife passed asphalt trail, roughly a two mille loop around the park. Small concession stand off of Mennonite also sells bait and rents paddled boats. Additional parking available off of Page road. There is a decent kids play ground and volleyball court. You do have to contend with a decent amount of Canadian geese and their poop.

I loved being able to walk around a big beautiful, clean Park. I wish we had a park like this in the town where we currently live. How lucky the residents are to have the equipment, the paved Pathways, and the dog park. I would love to go back in the future. Goose poop everywhere.

Vey nice park with lots of amenities. Highly recommended. They have all sorts of fields and playground equipment. The walking trail around the lake is awesome and they have really neat little markers with information on the surrounding trees. A great place to bring the family or take a walk!

This is a nice park especially for people with babies. The main path is paved which makes easy access for strollers They also have a couple nice little playgrounds and of course the lake you walk around. And also a restroom facility with a changing table

Good walking trail and nice scenery. Big playground for little ones and a workout area if you care to knock out some pull ups while you jog. Dog park is also nice. Watch out for mean geese!

Nice little park. 1.25 mile paved path around a man-made lake for walking, running, bikes. There is frisbee golf, wooded trails, playgrounds, and workout stations around the entire lake. 3 parking lots, so never impossible to get a parking spot (unless 4th of July), and a wildlife center. The lake has fish, turtles, frogs, geese, and blue heron. There is also a dog park right next to the lake that isnt in view of the lake path, but still part of the park. In the winter, there is a good sized sledding hill with ropes and stairs to help you get back up. Great place to explore beyond the lake path too. The wooded trails lead to great picnic areas in the summer, and some pretty lengthy trails through the forest. Love everything about this park.

This is really a nice simple park with some nice paths. The play ground equipment could use some maintenance and it would be great if the marina had some kayaks to rent.

Great park all year round. Picnicing, geocaching, walking, running, fishing, sledding not to mention the ball fields too.

Nice large lake with a paved path...plenty of benches and swing chairs to rest on when your tired ...there also is a playground and dog park as well as paddle boats ... Also a sled riding hill...the only complaint i have is they dont plow the walking path in winter and it gets very icy..

We walk there all time. It is really beautiful. You can walk, ride a bike or run. They have two areas were kids can swing on one side and climb bars on the other. Its for everyone.

Nice park to play baseball. Had concession stand and the best part was got to play Under The Lights.
