Nice cozy atmosphere. Pretty good view from all seats, from what I could tell. Got through the gates pretty fast, especially for a really large crowd. Leaving was not too horrible, had to do the shoulder to shoulder shuffle until the crowd broke up outside the main entrance. An enjoyable venue for shows. I will definitely go back to see other shows/concerts there.

2-23-20 - My wife and I went to see Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater show, last day, at the Fox Theater. Many people were there, including a younger generation who may have never experienced the show before, let alone a show at the Fox Theater. Arrived early, and parked at a Fox event parking garage for $20, down the street but not too far away. The parking attendant was very courteous and friendly. And met some friendly people on the way to the show as well. There were many people purchasing tickets there. The staff from outside to inside were very courteous and helpful. Security helped to make entering as seamless as possible. The Ushers from the door to everywhere inside helped more than they will know assisting us and others to get to and from seats and destinations within. Inside the building was just as I remembered. The one thing if I could change would be the seating. Nicely arranged, but if you have taller patrons or those of equal height viewing becomes a shifting of the neck or head depending on where you sit. We sat in Curtain D, row CC, on the right side of the auditorium. Seats 28 and 26. It was a virtual head shifting. But fortunately my wife asked during the first intermission, since it wasnt sold out, if we could sit further back, and they obliged. We were able to enjoy the rest of the show knowing why we were clapping. I would recommend a show here and even volunteering ones time to serve there.

Its a beautiful place. I love the actual theater it is beautiful. So many seats and the ceiling is beautiful. I went there with a friend to watch the princess Bride and it was an enjoyable experience. My only complaint is that the parking lot is way too small for the amount of people who come to the fox. How could one not love the grandeur of an opulent theater built in the 1920s?! And the play, WICKED, was performed so well. The costumes, the music, the vocals, the choreography and the storyline were all excellent. The one downfall was the restrooms... some of the latches on the individual stall doors didnt latch. And the line during the 20 minute intermission stretched all the way back to where we entered the theater. Many people were like us, and simply returned to their seats rather than miss part of the performance. The latches can be repaired; however, Im not sure anything can be done about the long lines for the restrooms without impacting the Foxs 1920s character. Id rather experience some personal inconvenience than to risk losing any of its charm.

In and of itself, the Fox is grandiose over-the-top. Everything you would want in a local theater! The biggest complaint has always been and shall remain the parking and the traffic - which it cant really do anything about. Even if your far back you should be able to have a clear few. Bathrooms are very clean the times i have been. Food and drinks and pricey. Wish they offered more of a variety of food than they do.
