These guys are great. Come down and check out their project, and donate some dollars so they can get this engine back on the rails. They are true craftsmen who dont just talk the talk, they walk the walk. The location doesnt look inviting, but dont let that stop you. When theyre open, everyone is welcomed.

I went there during my lunch you (a couple of times now). Both times I have been made very welcome and allowed to take photos, despite the fact they were totally in the middle of a piece of work on the loco. They are aiming to get it in steam for 2025, which is the locos 100th birthday :-) I sincerely hope they do it. Hopefully if they do manage this amazing job, the town will properly renovate the trestles, over which the railway line runs, so that they are as strong as they were when first built, and able to carry the loco and tender.

Love the history (however old it makes me feel) I remember the train coming thru when I was a kid and the plywood mill would be running cedar.. the east end of town had a smell that to this moment brings me back to happier, more simple times
