Great opportunity to visit local history, admission is included in the price to the museum.

Part of the Columbia River Maritime Museum, the United States Lightship Columbia is a great piece of Maritime history. I never knew that there was such a thing as a Mobile Lighthouse until we visited the museum.

A great place to see and touch history. It definitely takes you back in history. Worth a visit because it is much more engaging than a museum.

Admission is included in the Maritime Museum admission. This boat was anchored in the harbor to guide boats in. Later supplanted by a lighthouse. It is just like it was when it was on duty. you see where they slept, ate, prepared the meals and played games in their downtime. Lots of descriptive panels of the fuel it needed to keep the light running and all the food they needed to stock up on as storms would prevent resupply for weeks.
