Nice walk and part of the Pacific trail. Bumpy gravel road to get there, but worth it.

If youre in the area and want a 30 to 40 minute hike with views, Hobart is a piece of cake. You have views of the whole rogue valley and can jump across to green springs to get some even more stellar views with some added hiking time. NOTE: 30 MINUTE HIKE ONE WAY

Actually this is just a review of the trailhead. SST was fine. Few inches of snow on the road made it very dicey taking my rear-wheel drive to the trailhead. Probably colored by experience as my son said the trail was beautiful!

Beautiful views. Went in Mid October and it was pretty chilly so dress appropriately. There were a couple PCT hikers which was cool. My only problem is easy is a bit of a misnomer. I am sure that to your average hiker or outdoor enthusiast it is completely casual, but for someone who chose an easy trail to accommodate their morbidly obese frame, it was a little demanding. The last half mile is pretty steep, and even my wife who is an avid outdoors person was huffing and puffing. Just a heads up.

A great access point to the Pacific Crest Trail. To the north is Hubbard Bluff. This is a popular hike. To the South you can access little pilot rock and great views of Mount Shasta.
