Pumpkin Glow was lots of fun. I hope they can grow it as there is room to fo so. 7 of us went for $5. Not sure bad deal even if Covid made it a short event. Would love to see them do something with the house for Christmas!

The path through the woods were delightful.

Just overall a beautiful trail to walk or run on. Its about a mile loop and takes you thru a brief scenic route.

Nice relaxing place to take a walk with friends, family, or pets. It also doubles as a great place to run but I wish there was more unpaved area to explore.

Just plainly said, its a great park for the fireworks show on the 4th of July holiday . We all had fun, nice friendly people.

Love this park! The paved walking path is almost exactly 1 mile - great for goals. Theres a wonderful accessible playground for kids to enjoy. And there are numerous trails through the woods crossing back and forth over the creek. Such great variety all in 1 place!

It is a field. The grass was long, but the weather has been really wet and thats probably the reason. The balloons are beautiful.

This is the first time we ever went to balloon fest. Very hot tonight! They have kids inflatables and pony rides etc. Many food concessions. Like going to the county Fair. Its fun but food is expensive. We came here mostly to see the BALLOON GLOW AT 9:15 PM

It was pretty fun I would recommend everyone to go and enjoy. The thing that burden me the most was to see all these people and to know that Jesus died for every one of them and paid a high price . So lets not sell jeep .and you wonder how many know the truth and those of us that do know the truth do we show it ? do we live it? Beautiful place. We went to the Ashland Balloonfest here and had a great time.

Parking was terrible. In a field with mud ruts, not appropriate for any vehicle that wasnt high profile. No allowances for handicapped. No consistency on exiting either.It was readily apparent to anyone familiar with hot air ballooning that the event wasnt going to occur. No participant was had out their fabric laid out for inflation. The announcement of the cancellation was not made until most of them had loaded up and left the event.It should have been labeled basket event not balloon fest.Plenty of paid activities for children and food. 6 Port-A-Potties were not enough for the amount of people, none were a handicapped version.

Visited for the annual Ashland Balloon festival. It was amazing. There is a nice playground for the kids also!

Ball on show canceled, over all good food n music. Up close with operators, autographs, fun time. We will be back...

Our family loves going here! Nice paved walk, large field to play and run with a few picnic benches to sit and eat at. Beautiful view in the woods with a paved walking path and bike trail. Really love that theres also a really nice playground for the kids!

I like the area with grass

Such a beautiful park. Great walking trail that is both open and wooded. Several trails branch off throughout the woods. There is also a nice size playground and basketball court by Dale Roy School. The Balloonfest is a must!

Always enjoy walking here. The paved path is great for bikes or strollers, and they have many more paths through the woods if youre on foot.

4th of July balloon glow is a good time!

This is a beautiful place to walk or ride your bicycle around the paved path, this is what you can find in the wooded area.

The adaptive playground is an amazing asset to the Ashland community. The paved walking path has provided my family with hours of enjoyable activity.

Good place to walk in the woods and then the sun with a playground nearby

Home of the Ashland Balloon Fest, Freer Field is a great local place for walking. The main path is paved and circles the property. Inside the woods there are several dirt paths that allow the casual hiker to stray a little from the proverbial beaten path into the surrounding woods.

Nice place to walk with friends and pets. Walking paths are recently paved. Annual balloon festival is neat. One issue that needs to be addressed is drainage. The field tend to get water-logged easily.

The Ashland Balloon Fest was good until it rained

A nice place to take a walk, get excersize, launch model rockets, do anything outdoors.

Maintained by local volunteers, this area has excellent walking and running paths, most of which are paved. However, note the leash and time restrictions posted at entrance. Free parking.

Hot air balloons

Balloon fest is fun, but, they need better parking without the charge, or else, before long the people of Ashland will stop coming, they also need more balloons and do a lot of them EVERY night instead of doing a huge blowout on the last night only.

Paid $5 to park & not see balloons glow. What a scam. Why would I wanna go back?

Freer Field is the host to the annual Balloon Fest in July. This event hosts balloon pilots from across the nation to dazzle the locals. Balloon glows as well as launches are held when weather permits. If there is a breeze large enough to blow the leaves on a tree the balloons will probably not go up or glow. Safety is the number one issue. In place of the glow you may see a candlestick event wherein they light up the night to rock music with the theme of fire. Games and rides are available for little ones. Vendors are there with lots of foods. One suggestion from me would be to have another restroom area as to aid in the distance to travel with a toddler. Great event - rides, games and food cost - all else is pretty much free

Nice walking path. Great for kids on bikes very safe.

My kids just love exploring the various trails there and visiting the nearby playground. We go 2-3 times per week in the spring and summer.

Nice mix of urban path and raw trail. I run here a bit. There are events held here occasionally.
