A great place for a picnic, or even a barbeque! Be sure to get there early though. Some really nice granite rocks with great views close by if you dont get the table.

Very nice trails, meadows, open lookouts from this section of the Siskiyous. Plenty popular but there are many trails and roads to spread out on.

Nice groomed trail at the end of the Mt Ashland parking lot. Lots of snowshoers and families with kids.

Great access for winter family fun. Several sledding hills off trail. Dog friendly.

Beautiful area to cross country ski or snowshoe. Trails well groomed. Take the 1.5 mile trek to the top of Mt Ashland and see both McLoughlin and Shasta. Snow and views are stunning. Easy to moderate difficulty, with some steady up hill climbing.

Free three sided shelter on the backside of Mt Ashland two outhouses for restrooms are out there as well. Shelter is used for PCT hikers and thru hiking or just overnight camping.
