Carolina Cinemark has always been a great theater.From the staff to the concessions the whole experience is a great place to see a movie. Now with covid 19, I feel very safe, it is cleaned and disinfected every thirty minutes. I pray that they get to stay open.Thank-you to all that work there!!!

The theater seats were the most comfortable that I had ever sat in. They reclined. They had a tray that you could put in front of you to eat something. There was also a cupholder.

It was very clean and people was spaced a good distance apart and nice seats. Cheaper then the one downtown and just as good.

This is a top notch theater. Not only do they have comfy recliners but they also have a pretty full menu of anything from standard popcorn, candy and pop to the more elaborate sandwich, pizza and nachos. They also serve beer and wine. When you order you are given a remote that blinks when your order is done then you go out in the hallway to pick it up. Very classy. The prices are comparable with other theaters and if you pay to join their monthly club for 8.99 you get one free movie a month that carries over if you dont use it and a 20 percent discount on snacks.

Ive been to this theater twice. Its smaller but the atmosphere is nice. The staff that I talk too were nice. The auditoriums are smaller but roomy and cozy. Pretty clean too. Once the movie was over, after credit, about 3-4 staff members came in and start wiping seats and sweeping. Nice to see good management. Will be returning for more movies.

Comfortable seating. Snack prices are high but there are more options. Staff is friendly and helpful. Too many commercials played too loudly before And after preview trailers.

The projector screen quality was very good. And the lounge chairs recliners were very comfortable. The only bad thing was all the trailers and commercial before the movie. We can be about 20-25 minutes late and still have time to see the start of the movie.

A mixed bag. Pros: early morning show times, indie movies, really good but very overpriced food, nice staff, plenty of well lighted parking. Cons: not enough cheese with nachos, lobby looks as though a MK82 hit it yesterday, reserved seating is SLOW because people can’t make fast decisions, worst rewards program in the industry.

A great place to see movies. You can buy reserved seating in advance. The seats are super comfortable recliners. They offer more food than just popcorn and candy. You can get beer and wine.

I love big screen movies and this theater has it all. Great concession stands that always seem busy but never a long wait. Plenty of staff moves the line quickly. Friendly employees. Two things i would recommend to them. First, the large size of beer was maybe 12oz for 8 or 9 dollars and the cups are so small they top it off making it spill as you walk. I forgot the second thing they should change. Plenty of clean private family bathrooms. The theaters also seemed very clean.

This is best theatre in the Asheville. I have been here several time and loved this place alot. The staff here is very good they are polite and helpful. They will answer all your questions. The seating is really good. The snacks are good. Highly recommended place to visit.

Comfrey chairs and nobody kicking you in the back. Their app is really handy if you are looking to see as many theater movies as you possibly can when things open back up.

Easy to walk into the theatre. Bathrooms always clean. Seats are perfect.. Concessions are so good and enhance the movie experience. Movies shown are current and the movie screens are very nice. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Enjoy seeing Sam! They show an excellent variety of films including Fandango offerings. The web site posts accurate showings and film times. The Administrative staff are visible and take care of any challenges. It is also very reassuring to have a law enforcement officer on the weekends. I would recommend this theatre to anyone! And Tuesdays are $5.00 movie days-all day! Of course be sure to check before you go. Enjoy the movies at the Carolina Cinemas on Hendersonville Road in Asheville! I sure do and you can earn points toward all kinds of stuff. Go see a movie and get away.

Came for Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker. Awesome seating, great staff, great audio and picture. Didnt try any snack or the popcorn so cant comment on that aspect. Bought tickets online before the event and access in the theater was a quick and easy process.

Great atmosphere and extremely clean

What I like best about this cinema are the recliners. Grab a drink and some popcorn and settle in for real comfort. Great selection of films as well. Get reservations.

Since we dont live in Asheville anymore we rarely get to Cinemark, but a friend had bought tickets for a group of us to go see Tom Hanks in the new Mr. Rogers movie. The movie was enjoyable and the seats were quite comfy. We had to sit on the next to back row, but still were able to see without any problem. I havent gotten used to having to make reservations ahead for seats so its a good thing my friend took care of it.

We went for The Met Opera. For such a long performance, the seats were super comfortable in theatre 9. Our tickets were on the 2nd row. I was concerned that would be too close and a neck- breaker, but it was fine

I had my daughter’s 7th birthday party here during the first night of the Frozen 2 movie. We all had such a wonderful experience even during planning for the party. Tammi is the party specialist and she is wonderful. Always returned my emails quickly and was available when I called and even gave great recommendations on things I was uncertain about due to lack of experience with that sort of thing. Definitely recommend them for an awesome birthday party.

Seats are comfortable. Snacks are great. Sound is phenomenal, (although a little jarring at first its so loud.) Theres beer! I just messed up trying to buy a seat on the back row and accidentally bought a seat on the first row, ( bought my seat online early.) Once I figured out what I had done it was too late. I was surrounded and the show was full. :( public svc announcement: DONT pay attention to the graphics when choosing seats. Pay attention to the letters. A is right down in front/under the screen.

Saw the Star Wars movie today advertised for noon. A great venue, with comfortable seats.HOWEVER, the previews before the movie lasted 35 minutes! They started at noon, on the dot, and ran until 12:30, followed by two short commercials. I’ve never experienced anything like this.

Such a nice theater- seats very comfy, folks very friendly and helpful and movie options always a great selection. Enjoy going there.

My preferred place to watch movies in Asheville, comfy seats, always a good selection of movies, snacks are pricey but that’s expected, however they do offer a nice variety of snacks. They also offer a student discount and on Tuesdays they do a $5 ticket promo!

The people are nice and food is delivered to the theater you are in. I was able to check in with a prepaid ticket extremely fast. The seats are so comfortable and the screens are crisp and clean. Such a great experience.

My go to theater! Its closer than any of the others, has really comfy recliner seats, and their Movie Club is great way to save money! It gives you free tickets, discounts on additional tickets, and a 20% discount on all concessions purchases.

They have AMAZING seats here! The only thing I hate is they no longer list their movie showings on the sign. You have to go online. Sometimes, it was nice to just ride by and see what is showing and randomly decide to catch a flick.

I recently went And was asked to move from the seat I purchased Due to social distancing mind you there was suppose to be two seats between each I’m guessing one of them was sitting in the wrong seat ... also people kept talking the whole movie and answering phone calls just not best experience

Theater was fine, comfy seats, good ambient temp. Bathrooms were atrocious...3 stalls I went in had NO toilet paper then no paper towels either! Early show, too! Disappointing!

Great reclining seats but it’s always freezing. Winter. Summer. Makes no difference. I always take a blanket and warm jacket with me. Restrooms sometimes lack towel and soap.

The gentleman named Samuel that checks the tickets is one of the KINDEST people I’ve ever experienced. He is always smiling and so friendly. He offered us a snack last time we were at the movies and we were so appreciative. Great job!

Like being in your own easy chair with an enormous screen and lots of company. Good Food and bar make for a whole entertainment experience. Try it. Youll like it!

We watched the movie Lion King. There was adequate parking. The seats were very comfortable. The sound was good. We really enjoyed the experience.

They charge extra fees if you order tickets online and you’re not a paid monthly member. This is 2019.Paid $5 extra for myself and 2 daughters.Im doing Cinemark a favor by lowering their manual processing of tickets in-store and creating less traffic/congestion in their facility because we dont have to stand around in the lobby (except for getting snacks/drinks). Why charge people extra for that? A bit backwards.Im not against paid membership benefits in general but extra fees for purchasing online does not sound congruent with the purpose of buying tickets online which is convenience/time savings for me and the business.

Ive only been twice and both times had MAJOR issues. First time they charged my grandson (13 months old) for an adult ticket. When we went in he cried so my husband took him back out so he didnt disturb anyone else. Even though the movie wasnt sold out, and it hadnt started they gave no refund for either!! This time our chairs were broke, we asked they come look at the chairs, nope just moved us to seats that werent anywhere near where we were. We chose the seats for a reason!!

Super comfy seats. Decent concessions, which they will deliver to your theater door eliminating the need to stand around and wait for your order, as well as the hassle of juggling your order while trying to show your tickets to the ticket taker. So much more convenient this way. And it doesnt hurt that the food is actually pretty good. I love their Carolina slaw dog!

I pretty much refuse to go to any other theater. The seats are really comfy and assigned seating makes it easy to just go and sit, instead of the anxiety of having to go twenty minutes early so that your snacks are literally gone before the movie even starts. The tickets are really cheap on Tuesdays too. It makes for a good cheap date or just a fun outing with my mom

Comfy seats-weird smell?It was fun and their seating is great, fries are amazing if youre looking for a snack! But there was a strange smell in the theatre we were in, we were the first ones in as well.

Wonderful theatre. Smaller the other big chains but with a good variety of movies. The employees were very friendly and eager to help. The theatre where we were was spacious with reclining seats and a large screen.

One of the first theaters in the area changed 2 sofa loungers and footrest and along with that change came and alcohol beverages served has corresponding excellent menu my personal favorite is the Chicago dog highly recommend if youre not been to the movies in a while!

Awesome place with a awesome set up for the movies, great service and food. The tables for the chairs are alittle small for the trays but that could be my fault, im sure they were made for just the plate. Either way had a fantasic time.

The staff is nice and the comfy seats recline. I usually sit in the front so my son can lay/roll on the ground when he gets bored during the movie and not disturb others.

Good cozy seats with decent viewing angles. Have been a patron of this place for over a decade. Have memories of coming here as a member of the Asheville Film Society when it was hosted by the late Mountain Xpress critic Kenneth Hanke. Above the lobby was the lounge with a screening space with sofas and seats where we used to hold Tuesday screenings, along with the Thursday Horror Picture Show. Fun times!

Really enjoyed going to this movie theater. Like sitting at home in your favorite recliner. We had to sit in the front row but it wasnt uncomfortable like in other theaters Ive been to thanks to the reclining seats. The snacks, drinks and tickets are rather expensive but it does deliver a great movie watching experience.

I used to love this place. Unfortunately, this theater went to reserved seating instead of first come first serve. They had plenty of available seats, but my partner and I would have to sit apart from each other because people tended to reserve seats in the middle isles and leave open end seats. We thought about seeing another movie, but the same thing. We were handed a brochure to sign up for some monthly club and told we could get early access to reserve seating online. No thanks. All this does is just make me stop going to these types of venues. Seeing a movie should not be this complicated. I do not want to have to think about such things and and have to go online to reserve seats for a movie. No, the Rock concert analogy is lame. If this was live theater then yes, I expect reserved seating.

The Cinemark is a great theater facility. Prices are high just like every other theater location but the staff and atmosphere are nice and welcoming. The audio and video quality of the movies are great and not to loud. They also serve local beer and wine along with other food options besides popcorn and candy.

The seats are always clean, staff very friendly, food better than most. Older 80s character with just the right amount of modern upgrades. Started going for the cheap nights (Tuesdays), now its my theater of choice. Dont go if you are sleepy, the seats are really comfortable.

This is a great theater where the chairs recline. It is very clean and has good movie snakes. There are a lot of theaters and movies to choose from. It is nicely located in a high trafficked area of South Asheville where there are many surrounding restaurants. There is ample parking and it is easy to access from the road. It is important to arrive early because you have to choose your exact seat and it might be hard to get seating with your group of friends.

The seats are really nice, spent too much money on food and refreshments though. Definitely overpriced, but isnt that typical for the movie theater?

Nice theater. Food delivered to your theater. You get a notification and pick it up in the rear at the entrance. Seats have tray tables and recline electrically.

I lost my phone right before I got to the movie theater. I used my movie credits to purchase tickets online the day before. But since I lost my phone, I couldnt bring up my tickets, and neither could the employees because I used my free tickets online. The manager simply asked what seats I had reserved and gave me tickets. No hassles!!! So polite and accommodating. I cant thank the employees enough for being so kind. Also, if you ever cant bring up your tickets you purchased online, if you have the credit card used to purchase, the employees can bring up your tickets. I couldnt do that since my tickets were free from movie credits . Comfortable reclining seats. My toddler enjoys going as well!!!

Great place to watch one of the biggest movies of the year, Avengers: End Game, sit through almost 3 hours, only to have it freeze and skip not once, not twice, but four times in the last 10 minutes! Oh and lets not forget the screen going blank but we still had sound! Or the lights cutting on and off a few times! Never again. Stay away!

I really liked when you could buy tickets at the door and see a movie. Now if you dont you arrive and find out all shows sold out. See change of plans, buy tickets for another show on different day.
