First part of the trail was easy. The 2nd part, if you continue on the loop instead of taking the cutover trail, i would definitely rate as moderate. The first part has more cacti, the second part you climb up to the base of the superstition mountains. Nice views when you get to the top! great for my dog!

It was an ok trail really bad if u have knee problems tooooo much loose rock so keep that in mind I wont be coming back anytime soon but it was definitely pretty the cave was awesome

For a 57 year old out of shape Gma I was able to hike one side of the loop..will make loop soon!

Great short trail. When hit be sure to arrive early as the shade disappears quickly as the sun rises. There are a few steep areas especially when approaching from the western part of the loop. There are plenty of benches to rest and the views from the foothills are amazing

Nice hike with some challenging areas near the apex of the loop. Vertically its easier to start from the Cholla parking lot. Drink plenty of water the day before.

Id never been out to the Lost Dutchman. This particular trail was located near a clean, well stocked public restroom & boasted an amazing view.

Went right when it opened. Beautiful sight, and perfect weather. Wear good shoes, rained recently and puddles were on the walking path.

Very very cool. Starts off easy and for the most part is all the way around. These are my favorite mountains and the beauty is amaaaaaaaazing. Bring water and snack. Not a ton but some.

Nice clean trail that loops up next to the mountain. Beautiful views from mid trail and lots of off shoots that you can take to explore the rocky outcrops.

The name Lost Dutchmans trail suits the purpose of the trail. I was hiking up to the top, looking at my map then when I reached the top I had to turn around and I didnt realize that there where hidden trails that you dont see climbing up, only when your hiking back down and it scared me to death I got lost for a couple minutes and started to panic while looking over the edge of the cliff but then I found my way back down. This trail is definitely a fun one and the views that come with it are very relaxing, all while your heart is pounding out of your chest thinking your lost and going to die up there you can at least see a beautiful view thinking your a goner hahaha.

Trail was a good walk. Took approximately 2h 30m to do. Tool medium sized dog and he did well. There are alot of ups and downs to go through. We moved a few times to let a pack of horse riders go by. Only part that was not fun was at the beginning of the trail there are pickers which got caught in the dog paws a few times, but they are only bad for the first while.

You can be in touch with nature, see wildlife while enjoying a casual stroll on this easy loop trail.

Easy and high traffic trail. Good for an easy workout with spectacular views. Well worth the price of admission.

Thoroughly enjoyed this trail with our 2 younger boys, ages 6 & 9. Take extra water as this was a good 2+ hour trot. It brought us some amazing views with an incoming storm. This was a nice hike.

Loved it! The view is beautiful, but expect to get your heartbeat up. Make sure to bring water!! We spent about 2 and a half hours doing the loop but we stopped and took pictures and breaks.

A fun hike with moderate elevation gain and great views of the Superstition Mountains and the valley below.

Great little hike. I went out to the “Praying Hands” and then to the base of the larger rock. Planning a full day hike to go all the way to the top next time.

Has bathrooms and is an easier hike than the other trails within Superstition Mountain. Still bring water and wear good shoes.

For me and my wife, this experience was an absolute blast. The Ranger was about to give up and not due the presentation. Then we showed up.She decided to do it anyway, just for us.
