Easily my favorite hike in Arizona! So scenic and not that much traffic, which is great for those who are looking for serenity when in nature.

A great smooth trail that gets you in the wide open. Either hike a mile or 10 or 30. Nice parking lot and road up. Worth a look.

First, the drive to the Reavis Trail head includes about 35 minutes on a dirt road which offers views that make it one of my favorite drives in the area.Obviously, this trail goes straight to Reavis Ranch which is a great trip. For an easier day trip however, the turn off to Reavis Falls is only 3.5 miles. My wife and I made it to the turn off which is usually marked by cairns on the left side of the trail. From the turnoff, we hiked up to the top of the ridge. Passing several good camp spots along the way, we eventually turned around before reaching the falls. The hike down gets pretty steep and my other half was getting fatigued so we turned around. I think she could have made it but would have suffered a bit to get it done.In retrospect, I could see packing into Reavis Ranch for the night and stopping of at a site near the Falls. Next time perhaps...

Beautiful hike to Reavis Falls and Reavis Ranch. Personally I like the hike in itself than the ranch. First 3-4 miles have Grand views. There is no restroom or water at the trailhead. There is self sign-in sheet at the trailhead. Even trailhead has amazing views. Would highly recommend catching sunset from the TH after finishing the hike. Lots of wildflowers in first 3 mile of the hike (depends on the year and month)

This one of the more scenic trails in AZ. Been here several times and just love the hike. Must do this time of year. The falls are flowing fairly good with all the winter moisture.

Great trail, great camp spots along the way if you stay on trail. no water until you get all the way to the ranch down in the creek in some holes but be smart always take lots of water u never know if u can find it ,you’ll want your filter when u do. scenery is awesome!! Some deer, desert rabbits and a few sheep. I was out there living and wandering the wilderness for a week with my girlfriend and we only ever saw 1 guy and he was hunting so that’s always good who wants to see people ?! otherwise we’d walk a touristy Crowded Disney trail as we call them. Skal!!!

The first time i hiked to Reaves ranch i was about 11. The cabin was still standing and there was a beautiful apple orchid up there next to the creek. We hiked in at night. Thank god we had a full moon. Its still just as amazing as it was when i was a boy. Its a difficult hike.

First 3.5 miles of the hike are easy walking with not much for scenery. A few good views back at Apache Lake and of Castle Dome. When the trail goes to Reavis Falls, it gets rough. Pretty steep the 2nd half of the hike to Reavis Falls and a minefield of cacti each step. Once we got down to the wash(6 miles or so), its still another mile to the falls. The last mile is very poorly marked, brush fallen everywhere and rugged hiking. There isnt much resemblance of a trail at all the last mile. We started getting a rash from one of the trees in this section and there wasnt a way to avoid it. We went as far as we could and then couldnt make it to the falls. The trail was too overgrown to keep going and the rash started getting worse. Luckily we were able to wash off in one of the tiny water holes but overall, not that great.
