Ive been coming to the super-park as my kids like to call it, since I was a child myself. Nestled right up against the foothills and offering everything from an indoor gymnasium a baseball field 2 playgrounds and even a swimming pool, this neighborhood hangout is a great place to surge an afternoon.Make sure to look up whats happening because from swim camp to soccer classes and even ballet this park is always buzzing with activities for the enitre family.

My favorite park! I grew up coming here with my family and now I bring my family here. It honestly still looks the same. The grass and trees are always well groomed the tennis courts are clean. Theres also a little horse area.

Long line but went super fast

Little known fact, the U. S. Army, in addition to horses used government provided bicycles, not sure, but maybe as a trial. Exclusively used by the Buffalo Soldiers. The New Buffalo Soldiers org. had an event at the park today. Bicycle in photo is an actual replica. I thought it wasnt a real thing at first.

This is definitely one of the best parks yet! been going here almost all my life and it’s great! never fails at meeting new great people and having fun!!

The Farmers Market on Wednesdays is wonderful! The folks from The Green Circle provide no waste dishware and cutlery for food consumption and sampling from the variety of food vendors. This is a wonderful thing! Plenty of delicious and nutritious offerings for all.

Was NOT AT Loma Alta Park, WAS at THE BEAUTIFUL ALTADENA garden surrounded BY THE BEAUTIFUL green Park. LOVELY SITE.

This is a nice hike. I want to go back and visit again soon. There seem to be a lot more to explore than what we saw.

A clean and nice park to take a walk or stop and have your lunch. The San Gabriel Mountain Range as a back drop is certainly an added bonus.

Was quite nice to take some time and sit outside. The views are excellent with the mountains in the backdrop. Little to no traffic makes for a quiet getaway. A lo ely neighborhood park!

Fantastic place to lay on the grass and relax. They also have a lively farmers market every Wednesday evening.

Hadnt been to the park in years. Its really nice now. The swings and slides were really fun for our 1-year old. There are separate areas for little kids and bigger kids. The park is at the foot of mountains and feels very naturey. A+ park!

Its a very private park, with two playground areas, pool, restrooms and a bbq area for picnics and parties. Theres also a lot of space for kids to run and play. The park is clean and safe for kids.

Quiet! Such a beautiful setting up in the Foothills and so much to do. Playground, gazebo, baseball, basketball, hiking trail next to it, a swimming pool, tennis courts, horse arena... Seriously! Its like a little city. It takes up a couple blocks. And theres a Farmers market on Wednesdays after 3pm.

Ive been coming here every summer up to 3 summers ago and its been increasingly difficult to get in everytime.By far the worst most restrictive pool rules Ive ever encountered.Might as well not even have a pool facility.Nothing allowed but sandals, swimwear and towel. Absolutely nothing else!No bags, No phones, No Cameras, and No other clothing of any kind.Swimwear is very very strict as to what is considered swimwear. If your swimwear looks like it isnt swimwear clothing it is not allowed. I had 3 kids with me, 1 wearing legitimate swimwear, 1 unsure, 1 wearing bright orange not swimwear shorts (but that one had a change in their bag), the staff said the one with swim trunks that it was not allowed because it was not swimwear, the unsure one was allowed at first but then told it was not allowed and the one with bright orange was told he was allowed even though the shorts at the time were not swimwear. So these people dont even really know what swimwear is, just if it looks like swimwear, you will most likely be allowed.Last year I could have my phone with me and a shear shoal to cover up, this year they did not allow having your phone or any kind of non swimwear clothing, this is beyond rediculous.

The Cali HBCU Reunion is the best! Such a positive, educated and uplifting experience. Its nice to be surrounded by Black college educated and professional people. Always a pleasure and a time to be had! HBCU fo Life! Morris Brown College fo Life! (Restrooms could use more attention through out the day though).

Super peaceful spaces, fun playgrounds, individual and group picnic areas, a rec center and pool, a horse arena, a community garden... what more could one want in a park?

One of the very best public parks in Los Angeles County! The staff is excellent - the facility and programs that they offer are outstanding!The overall Park Administrator (Meliza Hernandez) and her staff - simply the best. They will go out of their way to accommodate you and your kids and they all have excellent public relations skills.I have been to Many LA County as ell as LA City Parks - Loma Alta Park may very well be - The Best! Enjoy and Have Fun!

Love the playground and my daughter loves watching the horses!

Gosh darn everytime I find a little treasure Im reluctant to share. This is a quaint park, the outskirts of the park cater to horses & their riders. All in all if you want to tske a nap or a breather this is ideal. I was here about 4ish Tues & nobody was around. Beautiful scenery..

This park, although very small, is getting better and better. It is pretty clean and the views of the mountain are awesome. It only has the one covered bench and table area, so having a gathering or party is tricky. But the playground is well kept and the gym is great. Having the public pool right next to it is awesome for our kids.

Nice park, great for hiking or mountain biking trails right out of the park that lead up into the foothills. The park itself is very nice and has a lot of places for kids to go and play..

I like this park because it is very family friendly, does not host homeless, and is always well-maintained.The park included an equestrian center as well As a community garden.This park also hosts a Farmers Market every Wednesday.This little Farmers Market is like the Little Engine That Could.It is small and quaint, but provides a much needed service in an often forgotten area.The vendors are incredibly nice and the foot traffic is low. Prices are always great.

Was ok went to the pool very strick no where to sit at all bear the pool no shade at all.

Seems like a nice neighborhood park, with playgrounds for younger and older kids, baseball fields, tennis courts, indoor basketball and volleyball, a pool, and community meeting space. I visited early on a Sunday morning and there were not many people there besides a small church congregation. Not sure how busy it gets during the week, but overall it looks well maintained and adequately funded.

This is one of my favorite places. The staff are reliable, there are various programs here and there is something for everyone. Check weekly for events. Awesome place for Sumer camp for kids and teens.

My Kids have been going to this park since toddlers.Mg oldest is 19 now. The park is safe and has many different programs for all ages..babies to senior citizens!

MGrew up here swimming back in the day. Then my son started Tinytots and I volunteered here it gave him a great start in life. Now hes 13 speaking fluent Chinese also involved in the Teen Program. Loma Alta has lots of sports & family activities. Penny is and has always been doing a great job. what a great start. Love this Park
