Absolutely beautiful park!! Great by yourself or with others. Plenty of big enough to keep social distancing if you so choose. Multiple things to do and see in this park

Beautiful, spacious, has a little bit of everything. The kids had a ball.

This is one of my favorite parks to have little get togethers at. The pavilions are great places to have birthdays, baby showers, etc. Theres a nice playground for the kids and a dock to go out fishing on.

Absolutely Beautiful park. Well maintained. We have a family reunion there every summer! There are nice picnic shelters (we reserved ours), a nice playground for kids and a great swimming beach. There are also flush toilets and changing rooms.

This is our favorite place to go in Alexandria, we have four kids and they all love coming here, its a beautiful place with a picnic areas, a lake that you can go swimming in, and two playgrounds .

Lovely trails to bike on. The morning scenery is absolutely wonderful. Be sure to bring a camera!

Great park for smaller children up to 4 yrs probably. My 2 year old loves the slides and steps!

This park is kind of a hidden gem in Alexandria. Its beautiful with fully mature trees, a nice shore and lake views, fishing pier, walking/ jogging tail access, kids play grounds, pavilion, clean restrooms, and so much more. Its conveniently located a couple blocks off Nokomis on the North end. Ive also found, in my opinion, that theres rarely many people here.

One of my favorite parks in town. Fishing pier, bike path, swimming beach, playground equipment, tennis courts, and a Dairy Queen nearby. What more do you need on a summer day?

Fun place to let your kid run wild. The park is nice and has lots of different activites. Though, an updated park would be amazing.

The park is always clean and not over populated. Shady areas with picnic tables to sit under while the kids play.The restrooms do seem a little dirty and some mirrors would be nice.It has tennis courts, a small beach, and water fountains as well.

Beautiful city park, lots of space. Trees galore. On the shores of TWO lakes. Fishing pier, swimming beach, covered picnic areas. Great for families and dogs. Indoor rest rooms, no confessions tho. Bring a basket lunch. Alcohol is not allowed, so be discrete if you must.

All the bathrooms are always filthyI can understand dirty at a park but filthy and they havent even been there that many years and the grass is always medium to long length at city park and its always way shorter at the dog

Did my engagement photos here and they turned out great!! Very nice park, great for a family day. Make sure to visit during Art In The Park, it is the best craft show I’ve ever been to, lots and lots of vendors, shows, and demonstrations.

Beautiful place.

Great park and playground. The kids had a variety of playground equipment to choose from and then could walk down to the lakes. The dock is setup very nicely and there is also a slide and swing sets down there too.Tennis courts were being used by people playing pickleball, and they desired to have an actual setup by the Park’s Department.

Nice place for a picnic. Bathrooms were pretty smelly and gross. Someone needs to pressure wash them. ( Gross )

Ive been going to this place since I was little. Theres a nice playground for kids to play on. Its by two lakes (What do you expect? Its Minnesota) Theres a beach for people to swim. Theres a tennis court. A Gas station, McDonalds, subway and a DQ are all in walking distance, DQ being the farthest.

This place is very nice. Very nice thats picnic tapers a large area for your children to play vending machines inside the big building which is actually pretty nice we stopped there for lunch well-kept grounds get my kids Happy on the road its a good thing to look forward to after a long road trip

Great place! But their was 3 cockroaches in the sink in the girls washroom on may 16 2019! But im not saying its a bad place and u shouldnt go there u should! Its a wonderful place but if anyone works there u should clean thebathroom more often and maybe make it nicer and add a door to enter the washroom

The kids love this park ...

We had a b-e-a-utiful day! The lower level of the park has a small parking area and there are a few picnic tables under a shelter and there is lake access. A dock on one side and a small beach on the other side. Our church had a great picnic and the pastor baptized a bunch of people in the beach area of the lake! It was a Holy Spirit filled atmosphere complete with a dove (pigeon) flying overhead! The water was a little cold since it is only Memorial weekend but no one really went swimming. I was glad there were indoor bathrooms with sinks, soap and paper towels. The kids liked the swing set and slides.

We love stopping at this park as we pass through Alexandria on our trips from Wisconsin to Fargo. Great playground and picnic areas that are well kept. And the people we encounter are always so nice.

Good Place for the kids and familys

The kids had fun with the playgrounds, swings, and lots of grass to run around on. No open toilets when we visited in November 2016. Good thing the Holiday gas station is close by.

This is the best park in Alexandria, MN. Its a bit hard to find, but that just makes is more quiet. There is an upper portion (shown as green on the map) that is an open field which is used for parking during major events like Art In The Park (late July). There is also a quality modern playground, two shelters, and two tennis courts (moderate shape) on the upper part of the park.The best feature however is when you go down the bank to the point. It is peaceful, scenic, filled with tall trees, and culminates in a point that you can wade out on (an opposing point is private property, so please dont trespass if you cross). The lower park also has a small beach, swings, a slide, a nice shelter, a historic gazebo, a fishing dock, and a 4 person shelter by the point. You can also take the trail from here that connects with the Central Lakes Trail closer to downtown.
