This place seems really cool. Like a nice hang out with good food. Unfortunately my husband and I are only passing through. That being said, due to Covid, we were unable to go inside because we have not been in the state quarantined for at least two weeks. One of the employees, however, kindly offered us a to go order. This was much appreciated considering we got in around 8:30 and everything was closed. Luckily they closed just a tad bit later. We ordered a couple chicken burritos and they were delicious! Definitely recommend this place, great food and service! Hope to come back one day and see the inside!

Sisters where you come to have some tacos and some tater tots when youre going downtown to have a brew. sister is the place you go to when a good band is going to come into town. itll be nice when the bands play there again. last time I went I wasnt so happy with my service, but I was very happy with the food and with the timing. yeah sure there was a 90-minute cap on how long I could stay there with my date, so maybe they rushed it because of that. but the food was good. they never disappoint with the food. when it opens completely itll be a lot better. and I hope that their servers get a little bit of a better attitude. but I dont care. Thats just the kind of customer I am. someone else may have cared more. I love sister and Ill keep coming back no matter what.

Good place for food and I like that you can reserve right now. Good place to bring someone whos vegan! There was one server wearing a plastic Halloween mask instead of a cloth face mask, so thats the only thing that brought my rating a bit down.

Had a one hour layover in Albuquerque, NM and went to Sisters for Tuesday taco, $2 per taco. And they were so yummy, I had the chicken taco which did not disappoint. Really, for 2 bucks this was a great taco. Good beer selection but being Tuesday they were out of quite a few draft selections.

Always a downtown ABQ go to! They are the best at it all! Music, Food, Games and Drinks!

Variety of ages as far as crowd goes. Friendly staff! Travis our bartender was very attentive and nice. Food was delicious, we got a green chile cheeseburger and a goat cheese salad. Their homemade ketchup was awesome! Restrooms were clean. We love all the different pinball machines and other arcade games! In all, will definitely be returning!

What a place! Pinball anyone? They have all the games and good old pinball and other machines. They have live music some evenings, check their website for the schedule. I had a drink and enjoyed a game of pinball! Great prices, great fun and a extremely kind bartender.

Easily the best concert venue in Albuquerque. Amazing rotation of unique artists with an intimate stage! The bar set-up is excellent. And when you arent here for a show, you can enjoy their excellent food menu as well as the arcade cabinets and pinball machines.

Went for Sunday brunch and the food was good and and if your price. My selection of beer which was also decently priced. You go up to the bar and order your food and drinks youre giving a number and then they bring out your food very quick. They have an eye solution of pinball machines which was a lot of fun and that encouraged me to stay a little longer and have another beer. Fun place.

Stopped here before our show at The Box. We tried almost all the tacos and they did not disappoint. The truffle fries were so good. All of the bartenders were all friendly and quick. This bar has a very chill vibe. Many arcade games which was a very cool touch.

A cool Downtown bar with a great selection of beers on draught and good Old Fashions. Personally I prefer it better during the day when it has a more mellow vibe and you can leisurely play pinball without worrying about losing your seat. At night it can get a little too crowded and scary. Also the bathrooms have cool and unique floor designs--well the Mens rooms does, I never saw the Womans room.

Sisters is a great addition to the local downtown nightlife community. The food is always solid, the drinks taste fresh off the tap and the bands that roll thru have been of quality. Id recommend the tater tot dishes they have to anyone. You can also get them vegetarian style with avocado if you ask.

Strange to say a bar is among my very favorite restaurants in Albuquerque, but it is. The tacos are beyond amazing. The staff is great, the drinks are good and the ambiance is an amazing mix of classic bar, metal, and burqueno aesthetic.

Went to the wake self tribute and album release party. Great show! Started with Soy the organic hispanic, than awkword actwrite, and blesinfinite, def i did his thing and zoology. Got my drinks in when it was slow. Good show drama free

The food was delicious! We ordered the Chile Cheese Tots and a Green Chile Cheeseburger. I am not able to drink but my friends seemed to enjoy the cocktails and beer. They have a convenient quarter machine available to play the machines. I was disappointed that a lot of the two player coin slots were jammed and unable to play. There were a lot of people in the bar and seemed like a fun, popular place to hang out.

Visited during the week for a quick drink. Limited seating, food smelled good but didnt eat. Large selection of pin ball and video games. Decor is sparse but interesting and eclectic.

I love their tacos however it is a bit pretentious there I do normally drink at Red Door but I will go to Sister Bar if Im looking for something sweet and expensive.

This place was excellent! Husband and I went on Taco Tuesday and got 3 $2 Tecates/each, 5 $2 tacos, and a $3 bean and cheese burrito. These arent always the prices but for a Tuesday, the prices were great. The food was excellent, as was the service and the general atmosphere in the bar. Kinda hipster but not obnoxiously so. Highly recommend!

In the heart of the downtown bar scene its a great place to have a drink and play some arcade games. Theyve got a rock and roll vibe to the bar. And have bands playing frequently. Great place for hangs with the friends.

This place is so fun for just a night of dancing and hanging out with friends. The dj was playing Motown and disco Christmas music and everyone seemed to be having a great time. I was completely sober and still probably had one of the best experiences going out to just dance. Definitely recommend.

A great spot to belly up at the bar even if you are by yourself! They have several very unique cocktail choices and of course a full bar to choose from. Games inside are a nice touch such as pinball and arcade style games. Theres live music on occasion or in the evenings. This is walkable along with all of the other locations in the Heart of the City. I thought the people here were great and I have been more than once when I have returned for business to grab a casual meal and beer.

Chill dark vibe, amazing tap selection, solid food.Got a luscious mango pineapple sour beer that was perfect for a midday refresher, and paired it with kimchi fries, a true spicy wonder to behold.Barstaff was fun and friendly, will happily be going there again!

I like Sister. Last night was the first time I had their food and it was actually amazing. I got two carnitas taxos after my burger meal it was that good. The venues can be packed but usually good performers. Sound system is pretty dang good. Drinks are good.Overall: A- in the dive bar demographic. :)I like it.

This is one of the coolest bars in Albuquerque. Great vibe, awesome atmosphere, and the service is excellent. The drink menu is extensive with many awesome and unique cocktails and lots of craft beers. The pinball machines and decor make this place awesome.

First time I was at this venue for a show with Sweet Nothin and Dirty Honey! Its got a nice stage and dance area very large and roomy! It has pinball machines to play but no pool tables which would be better! You can sit out in the patio area as well if preferred and its always hopping and busy every time Ive ever passed by.. Not a bad place and has some pretty good acts /shows perform there! Worth stopping in or checking out for sure!

Had a concert on a Wednesday night, they were out of almost all their popular beers except for a select few before the concert even started and it was a sold out show. They had almost no domestic beers to start with. It was poorly planned. Most of the bartenders were nice the two females had no customer service skills like I was an inconvenience by asking them to smile even. I was super respectful and still the females were acting as if I was the mean one, and it was a burden to have deal with anyone. I racked up a $130 tab and tipped $50. And still they asked me to leave because I wanted to talk to management about the females treatment of me. Really disappointing because of that and being out of most beers before they even started.

We were having a great time listening to Dirty Honey. Looked forward to this show for a long time. Unfortunately the bass player thought it would be a great move to kick a glass off of the stage and launched it right into us. We left. Very uncool. I love this bar! Great cocktails and mixed drinks, and the service is great when theyre not so busy. The highlights are definitely the games and the atmosphere. The pinball games especially really nail the air of nostalgia that I absolutely love, and the decor is somewhere between Meow Wolf and a speakeasy. They do pull a younger crowd but its worth a visit.

Food is super awesome and underrated. 3 stars because they close for bands and random stuff. My friends and make plans and then maybe 1/3 of the time theyre randomly closed when we show up. Annoying.

Kick back bar casual clothing on Thursday night, not sure if its like that all time, but this is my kind of bar. They have pinball machines and video games. Comfortable seating, awesome music.

You wouldnt think this place is anything much from the outside, but they have a very good draft beer selection (as well as a full bar), plus the food is really surprisingly good. They have a bunch of vegetarian options. Theres a special Sunday brunch menu. There are often bands and events that may or may not interest you, usually with a cover charge, so if you just want drinks and grub, check if theres anything going on first.

One of my favorite places downtown, Ive been going to Sister Bar since they opened! The old school pinball games are so much fun! Theres inside and outside seating, not to mention a dancefloor which is perfect for all of the events they host. If you havent been yet, find an event that appeals (they have so many!) and definitely check it out some time!

Love this place!The atmosphere is definitely what I would call trendy. They always have cool music and bands playing, as well as a pretty impressive list of rotating taps and seasonal cocktails to choose from. The tacos are always good and relatively inexpensive. Truffle Parmesan tots are my favorite thing on the menu. Be patient at the bar when you go on a busy night, cause it will most likely take a few minutes to get a drink!Had a blast, recommended.

I needed to get out of my hotel on a business trip and found this bar being listed downtown. When I arrived, I found the space to be open and welcoming. However, the best part of my entire experience was the bartender named Erin. She provided great cocktails with exceptional service and a welcoming smile. This is definitely a strongly recommended spot in Albuquerque if you are interested in spending some time drinking, chilling, and conversing with some great people.

Sister is quirky and fun. They always have a great selection of beer, and their food is on point, too. For real, Sister has some of the best tacos in town, with something vegetarian on the menu as well. Give it a shot, and @me if had a terrible experience. Expect cordial, relatively quick, though albeit not overly friendly service from the staff. Oh, and, let the Wookiee win? OK?

Sister has a large selection of affordable drinks and a fantastic sound system, as well as a sizable collection of pinball and other arcade games. The food is good, too, and they serve food late. They also have a small patio. Definitely a local favorite.There can be a cover, so have a backup plan or call ahead to ask.

A great stop anytime of the day, including Sunday brunch.Its the bar you go to to meet up with your friends and be surrounded by the hipper, and some hipster, downtown crowd.

Sister has evolved considerably over the last couple of years, successfully transitioning away from the aloof hipster thing, into a much improved environment, with good selection of beverages, mostly friendly staff, varied events, and more than decent food. Solid Sunday brunch crowd, though the Huevos Rancheros served on bagged tortilla chips instead of tortillas is funky. Bar service can be unfathomably slow when theyre busy, as the bartenders tend to take one drink order at a time, even when theyre four deep at the bar.

Sister bar holds great bands and you cant go wrong with video games and pinball. Lots of places to sit both in and out. Bathrooms kept clean. But lately 50 50 if ur gonna find the free water that used to be available so heads up.

Sister Bar is a very good place to watch bands perform. Parking is available about a few blocks away either east or west. The beer selection is very good covering major flavor types and the menu is small yet very good. The tater tots and breakfast burritos are a recommended choices.

Went to see Black Flag. My first time at Sister Bar. Loved it. Sitting area and plenty of standing room.

Just wanted to sit on the patio at 10pm on a Sunday night to have a burger. Door guy SUPER short and rude because we interrupted his cigarette and bro time(?). Would not let us sit on the patio to have a meal. No interest in the show that start 4 hours ago and only had an hour left that we looked up to see why we needed to pay $5 cover to eat food outside no where near the show. Never have we been charged to go have a meal on the patio at Sister. Downtown is dead. Sister is dead. And we have to pay to pay to eat?? I guess we wont be eating at this neighborhood spot anymore. We either go for a show and are happy to pay the cover OR we want to have a meal. So rarely both. Why turn paying customers away?

Door man checked our IDs, we sat on the patio because we had a dog. No one came to serve us, found out later that they dont have patio table service..would have been nice if the door man could have looked up from his phone to tell us. So the place wasnt very busy ... I stood by the bar trying politely to flag down bartender, with no luck..then Rita saw us and turned things around. She was fantastic.. the only one in the establishment that cared.
