Very fun and hands on. It is self paced so you can stay for as long or as little as youd like at each exhibit. Exhibits for all ages. Can easily entertain an entire family due to the wide variety of exhibits. They also have an outdoor area, we brought our lunch and had a picnic then went back to the exhibits.

Great museum! I try to bring my kids here once a week. We can spend 2-3 hours wondering around and playing. We were at the Explora while they had a fire drill and all of the staff were very quick in getting everyone out safely and quickly. The staff members are very interactive and like playing and teaching the children.Edit: They have an amazing nursing room! So comfortable!

My son (1 years old) and I had a great 4 hours exploring! We visited all of the areas a few times and he never got tired of it. He loved the smaller kids play area and the water feature. This was so fun! It was recommended to us by some business associates when we asked them what was fun to do with kids in Albuquerque, and it did not disappoint. Even our two year old had a blast. He especially loved the bubble area. It felt like there was a good mix of things to do for both older and younger kids. We easily spent 3.5 hours here, and could have stayed longer but we were out of time. I loved that it was fun while teaching about science at the same time.

Absolutely amazing museum. My husband and I hosted our wedding here back in April and it was a joy. Im chemist and my husband an engineer and we could think of no better place than Explora to hold our special day. Tory, the event coordinator was beyond helpful leading up to and on the day of the wedding. We rented out the entire top floor for the event and we have heard nothing but praise from our guests. It was especially good for the guests children. During the toasts, dances, etc they were able to play with the bubbles and have a jolly good time. The venue provided the tables, chair, dance floor, and table linen which makes things so much easier. We even avoided a disaster right before I walked down the isle. Myself and my bridesmaids hid in the supply crafts closet while guests got seated for the ceremony. One of the pads on my glasses decided to pop off. The metal bit underneath was very sharp and I started to freak out a bit. But huzzah! There was a hot glue gun in the closet that came to the rescue! My maid of honor was able to get the pad of my glasses glued back on without a moment to spare! Highly highly recommend this place for the kids, for their amazing adult nights, and they are simply the best place to host a nerdy wedding.

My daughter loves Explora! She is 4. We usually go through quickly to her favorite and age appropriate exhibits. She has so much fun! I usually explain a lot of the science to her and that saves us from reading all of the plaques. If you are new to science, definitely give yourself a couple hours to go in each section and learn all of the amazing things our world and science have to offer! On the second floor to the far right there is a large sun filled patio with giant foam building blocks and picnic tables. So much fun for kids to build forts and get a little sun!

Love this place. The kids could wander here for hours learning all the while. Each year brings new installations to explore so we never get bored of the many places to lose yourself like the air rocket flight zone or dam building at one of many water tables. Fortunately old favorites like the bubble zone and outdoor giant foam tinker toys remain. So glad to have this gem in Albuquerque.

This is my favorite place to go on a date. The Explora Adult Nights are where its at. They usually have a theme for the event. Like I went when it was a wood theme and they had wood workers come in and show their work and tools. They usually always have people with telescopes so you can look at stars. They have a live band play and all the exhibits are open for the adults to play with. I really like the flight simulator and the water exhibits. If you are new to Albuquerque you got to go check this place out.

Went here on a weekday lots of people, but not too crowded, the different exhibits were typical and a few i havent seen plenty of different exhibits thatll keep you busy for hours. The reason im not giving five some of the exhibits were very outdated and didnt work, a lot of the childrens items in the baby section stained, dirty and messy, there were a lot of workers walking around playing with the exhibits vs cleaning the areas as well. Other than that the elevator, bubble station, ball ramp making, creative station and fish 3d aquarium was the best. Ill go back if they have updated.

We have been to Explora many times and always enjoy it. This time a couple of the exhibits were broken and one of the wheels on an exhibit cut my finger badly. Not only that but I have a 6 year old daughter with a disability. At one point she very much needed to be able to have some time in the quiet room to desensitize from the huge amount of people that were there. However when we went in there there were two grown men lounging in there sleeping and watching a football game. So frustrating! It was unusable for her. It was very busy today but under staffed for the amount of people. It is a neat place and has a lot of cool exhibits and things to do. The elevator is really neat too.

The experience was okay. I am glad my daughter enjoyed herself. We actually interacted with other customers outside with some of the attractions. The outside features were better than the inside activities since most of the stations were a mess and there was no staff attending or making sure that supplies were available. One of the staff members randomly came up to my daughter, who is 3, and asked where she got a green ball from as if she stole it. She should have been cleaning up the place instead of profiling my child. I was unhappy about this. The lady is 61 maybe 240 lbs, and a brunette. I did not get her name but she should not have assumed my daughters ball was not hers. That is utterly disturbing and wrong. We will not be returning. Please clean up the place, especially the arts and crafts place that was disgusting and dirty. I am giving 2 stars because my daughter liked the outside equipment and the gifts she bought at the gift store. This is not what I expected.

The weirdest thing is the museum provided the coat hanger and rack but customer like me who actually used it lost my thick winter coat. That is just not making sense.
