Really fun park for the kiddos! Great nature view of water, ducks and pelicans were present during our visit. My kids had a blast! Bathrooms have no doors on the stalls so if you have kids beware, and go in there with them. Recommend taking your own sanitation supplies as they have no soap dispensers.

Fairly open course. Some trees off the tee boxes and near the chains. Good challenge.

Great morning of fishing. Fun watching ducks, birds, squirrels, snakes and other critters. We even spotted, deer!

Great 18 hole course!!! Lots of variety some long ones some ahort ones. Beware the holes near water I usually skip it because I have lost some discs there

Really nice. The playground equipment was nice and felt new. Its a really big park. Lots of people were playing frisbee golf. Nice big trees. Fishing. Only thing that keeps it from 5 stars is the bathrooms were horrible. Pro tip. Make sure you make the kids go before you get there.

Love this park, it just needs a little TLC. If the city could pick up some of the trash and trim the grass on the bank it would be nice. I like to fish the creek but fishing from the bank can be a pain, you have to cast over hand because of the tall grass all along the bank.

Nice water along edge of park. Surprising amount of wildlife; ducks (bring bread to feed them) water snakes, turtles, beaver, fox, deer. Nice place to walk dogs. Nice playground for kids.

This park is ok, but accessibility for a wheelchair is not good. They took the toilet out in the handicap stall. So if you do not have some mobility you will not be able to utilize the womens restroom. There are not any trails going near the creek. This is another amenity that is difficult for a wheelchair bound person to access and enjoy. All-in-all this park needs a lot of work to be accessible to those with physical limitations.

City needs to clean up this place shame. Cant even fish with all the homeless people bathing across the creek

It was a park? No really, it was great.

Went to go fishing.... Great for fishing... If you dont mind the cotton mouths!!! Had 4 of them go into the water within 10 feet of us. I had my grandsons with me, we packed up and left the water area. They need to keep the weeds and brush down on the park side of the water.... Would greatly help to spot snakes and maybe even keep them on other side!! Took the grandkids to play on the playground. They loved it!!! Got to see people playing Frisbee golf too!!

They really need to do a better job taking care of fire ants and keeping the grass maintained. This park is pretty dingy.

The park was ok! My daughters had fun. I wish that the disk golf thing was not located right in front of the park I was wondering why a group of men where just standing in front of the park when we pulled up! The restrooms where dirty which is not unusual in Abilene.

You can fish play disc golf and plenty of room for your dog to run around. Needs more picnic areas though.

The rain yesterday made it a bit wet, but it was busy. The fishing was pretty good today, 2 crappie, 1 bass, 1 drum all within 20ft of shore on minnows. Crank and jigs didnt work. Pretty clean out there too. Better than Phantom or Kirby because they are dirty and trashy. Please carry out what you carry in!

Best Disc Golf Course in Abilene!

My nephew had a baseball game out there and I was surprised how nice it was out there. The whole area just seemed so peaceful.

We always pick this park for birthday parties because of how nice and calm it is.

Nice. It reminded ne of years ago. Glad their keeping going. But needs the vegitation near the banks trimmed down. And removed in places. It would bring much more touris and local attraction if the bank a little lans scape work done.

My husband and I had nice little break passing through Abilene. Stopped to do some trout fishing. And feed the beautiful ducks,seagulls,etc....

Clean & quiet the kids enjoyed playing on the equipment.

Good place to toss some plastic with friends. Holes are open not a lot of obstacles to throw around. Good beginner course Baskets are randomly reset from short to long or back again. Course maintained by Abilene Disc Golf Association.

Its rather small, wish these was more of a winding sidewalk. It does have a frisbee golf course though, so if u play Frisbee golf thats a plus for ya.

Nice, quiet park with two little league baseball fields at next to a playground. A creek runs on the west side and fishing is allowed. Disc golf course is also within the park.

I love this park it has grown my grandfather took us fishing near back in the 60s only thing I dont like about it is all the trash other than that its a great place to just visit

Was here for girls track meet. Was nice parking is...well there is no parking other than street and the ground is very uneven makes it hard to walk on...but was very clean as far as we could tell.

Cal Young Park has something for everyone. It has a very nice playscape for kids. There is a creek that runs close by for good fishing. Very well maintained park. It has a frisbee course for those of you into that.

Restroom was clean considering its location and average patron.

The park used to offer a decent fishing opportunity until TPWD allowed the Lytle Water District to appropriate a third of the lake. Now the best fishing on the lake is blocked off from the public. As if those a-holes needed more waterfront when they already have a private lake.

I play baseball over there

Lots of open space, great disc golfing and other sport facilities. You can even do a little bouldering on the walls of the bathrooms under the pavilion. The dammed section of the creek provides a nice view as well.

My visits Cal Young Park today was a very pleasant visit. It was a beautiful Park day.

There are a lot of trees that give amazing shade! Great place to go and read. If you have children there is a playground and swingsets. It also has disc golf, fileds, and a lake. Ive seen people fishing here before and kayaking. There are restrooms and the city does an amazing job at maintaining the grass cut.

Stock w trout every year. Yellow catfish, bass crappie, perch also caught there. It has a great frisbee golf course, a playground, and a roller hockey field

Myself and my son went kayaking he has auitisum and we bought a a kayak for him he had the best adventure ever, he said it was way better than the gocart track of prim time because carts cant swim

Just your typical small town park that has a nice stream running through. Great place to fish, kayak or just hang out. Lots of poke stops too (although nothing good ever comes here lol). Frisbee golf park and it has a playground, baseball field and small hockey rink. Has a over hang that has benches and bathrooms. The bathrooms i wouldnt recommend using unless you really really really have to...you have been warned.If you go behind the park youll find more baseball fields. Be careful though because this park floods over really fast in hard rain.
