What an absolute amazing place. I got so much out of there just seeing all the Bizzarre little trinkets and pieces of history. An absolute worthwhile journey to go out of your way. You can take the family. Everything was so interesting and compelling from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave.

It’s a weird and creepy little store filled with curiosity and historical odds and trinkets. Affordable entrance fee and good customer service. The mirror maze and laser attractions weren’t working at the moment, a shame cause it looked fun.

Funky little place. Kind of like the Mystery Shack from Gravity Falls. Costs only $3 to enter and its packed with all kinds of oddities to look at. Went there for my anniversary with my partner and his 8 year old. We all had a fun time.

We visited the Museum of the Bizarre in Early July while we were in a family vacation. It was a fun little endeavor. We loved the photo opportunities and the wall of serial killer memorabilia. Some of us visited the gift shop area. My son in law purchased a shrunken head . We spent about an hour walking around taking everything in.It was definitely worth the couple dollar entry fee and was a great way to just goof off and have a light hearted time with my family.I would definitely recommend taking a few minutes to visit the Museum of the Bizarre next time you’re in the area.

The customer service was amazing I really cant say anything negative. The price was not expensive at all, very reasonable. If I were to say anything it would be I wish there was more and that it was bigger, other than that my children and I had a great time.

The mirror maze was fun and the laser light was fun to see how bad of a criminal Id be!! Museum was cool, just a lot of neat stuff crammed into a small building. We were in and out in under 25 minutes.

A small but very interesting museum. As an immigrant I found this truly fascinating. So much American history. From movies to mythological creatures. It has a little of everything.

Nice collection of stuff. Grouped together well and easily displayed for viewing. With the Groupon it was a fair deal. Without it, I might suggest passing.

Review №12

Some dude came up to us to ask if we had any questions and looked at our mother inappropriately, I felt so disgusted. This whole place is gimmicky. It’s all fake plastic stuff. They had some actual biological specimen in jars, but some of them didn’t even look properly preserved, and had more fake plastic mixed in with the display. Press a penny machine is broken. Both pennies we got were both cut off in half. Wouldn’t press correctly no matter how good it was aligned. Wasn’t even worth the $3 admission. “Gift shop” was really dirty, just a bunch of Cheap dollar store stuff marked up $5. All of it was filthy and old.

Review №13

If you like weird things you will love this museum. They have some very interesting items related to famous serial killers, occultists, secret societies, the illuminatii and other similar groups. There are mythological and urban legend items as well. The realistic horror movie props are great for pictures. This museum is well worth the $3.00 admission.

Dont let the $3 admission mislead you. This place is really neat! It is small, but loaded with really interesting stuff. We spent almost 2 hours looking at everything. Highly suggest it!!

Review №15

It was small and a lot of the stuff was obviously fake. However for $3 it was worth it. It was interesting and fun to explore. I liked how a lot of the stuff in there had a story line u could read or scan to hear. Definitely a must see. It’s great for curious minds and to interact with whoever you go with. I loved the game in the middle too.

Would just like to say the woman at the front desk was very rude and discriminates against kids who do not wear a mask even when a child is under 11 and the other has a medical condition! This place wasn’t even worth the $15 we spent! If you are still open to the public and wanting tourist business during this pandemic then please stop discriminating against the children. It’s one thing to ask adults but another to preach to us about our kids only to turn around and see she’s taken her mask off! Definitely not worth it due to her rude behavior!

On my way back to Columbia I couldnt decide if I wanted to stop here or not and Im so glad I did!!! Take your time here theres something new to read about everywhere you look. Mirror maze (pictured) was really neat too even though I didnt want to do it by myself (kind of got lost before I even started ). For the price though why would not check this place out!?

Inexpensive fun little detour if you have kids, or adults really. They have some neat little items set up for pictures. The laser vault and mirror maze was closed due to COVID, so I cannot speak on those activities. However, I recommend checking it out if you are in the area and have a few moment.

Review №25

Its an okay place. Some interesting and bizarre things to look at for sure. Thank God the admission is really cheap. Its even cheaper if you have a Groupon. One small lap around the place and youre done. Reminds me of a Ripleys Odditorium but on a much smaller scale. Also, you supposedly can only take pictures near certain areas near certain props like Micheal Meyers and other horror figures. There wasnt a lot of people there the day I went, which was good because I wouldnt suggest going to this place if Coronavirus gets worse or if it is close to flu season. The museum is so small you cant really stand 6 ft away from anyone if there are a lot of people in this place to maintain social distancing.

De
Review №26

Christians do not belong here! I thought it was a place similar to Ripleys Believe it or Not Museum but it was not. The place seemed to be full of memorabilia paying tribute to anything and everything demonic. The owner even had on a shirt with the Sigil of Baphomet on it which read Sinners are Winners. Not the best atmosphere for Christian families.

Not exactly my favorite way to spend an hour, but it may be appealing to some. Just a random collection of bizarre stuff from various sources including movies. Perhaps you may want to visit here to pass some time on a rainy day, but I think there may be better options when the sun is shining. On the plus side the price of admission is quite fair so feel free to experience it yourself without risking too much cash.

There were many interesting things to see and investigate. Would like it to have been larger I think. The mirror maze was fun. Also wouldve liked it too have been larger. So I guess Im suggesting the museum expand. Id definitely go back if they did. Possibly add a couple more things like the mirror maze that a fun house would offer. It was my daughters favorite thing at the museum. All in all a great activity and something I hadnt expected to find there and glad I did. Thank you for the experience!

This would be a fun place to go if you have kids with you. It is only $3 a person to get in. They had some neat stuff, but a lot of b.s. stuff (not believable for 2 adults). Kinda wish we had the kids with us cause they really would have gotten a kick out of this place. The photo opportunity spots were fun. The staff was super nice. You can do a quick run through or you could literally spend an hour in here. Definitely a fun spot to stop at!

Went last week only to hear a staff member saying horribly racist jokes to a group of visitors. He was making fun of the genocide that killed a lot of my family. Visibly upset I had to leave and it ruined my whole day. I will never return and I will advise everyone never to visit. Also the collection is 100% fake and horribly presented. Dont waste your $3.

If youre looking for something unique to do in Wilmington, this museum is a very fun stop and is well worth the $3 admission (but dont pass up the extra $4 to do the mirror maze and laser room!). Red Eye and Theresa were very friendly when we stopped in, and were excited to discuss any and all of the items in the museum. Taxidermy animals mash-ups, serial killer memorabilia, movie props, and historical oddities are everywhere you look. Definitely take the time to take some pictures! We enjoyed coming here. The only reason I give 3 stars is because its described as fun for all ages so my husband my kids and myself went yesterday.. it was great for my husband and i and my older kids who are 15 and 16 but my 5 year old was terrified at some of the gory stuff.. he loved the maze and the lazer vault but had nightmares of the scary stuff.. example.. a manican with its head cut off holding a machete or the one that you press the button and its the electric chair with a manican person thats being electrocuted.. other than that it was great.. I would say ages 10+.
