Nice path but it had some mounds in the middle of the path like they were doing work, it could be a trip hazard for sure.

We. February isnt the best time to visit, but we were expecting to catch sight of a handful of early ephemerals. Unfortunately we only found one plant blooming. There is very little parking (just 4 spaces capped at one hour) and the trash bins along the trails were overflowing badly.Overall this is an amazing resource and Id love to try checking it out some other time. The minnows and turtles in the wetland pond were at least interesting even if the plant life was a little disappointing.

It used to be lovely. Now its noisy because its surrounded by construction and the trash never gets picked up

Nice place to walk a bit before our 4 hr drive home. Nothing special, might be better in the spring. Parking is $2/hr at a metered parking lot with 4 spots at the head of the trail.

Good, clear paths and takes you out of everything, but it looks like it’s fallen into a state of disrepair since Hurricane Florence came through. Most of the scenery is just fallen trees and debris with some squirrels and ferns. Found a few wildflowers, but nearly as many as we thought would be out in Spring. Needs a lot of TLC. Signs are missing or obscured. Would be perfect place for educational and low impact art installations.

This place is great for a short walk. We had about an hour to spare. Perfect path for bikes. Theres a pond and plenty of fresh air. This is one of my favorite walking trails.

Im sure this would have been a great hike and I was very excited about a Mothers Day hike here. However, once we finally found the entrance to the trail, it was gated off and we could not access it. The information I read online stated the park was open 7 days a week from sunrise to sunset. Very disappointed that my husband planned my Mothers Day around this hike and we didnt get to experience it. Perhaps another day.

A small part but good location at the UNC campus. I wish I could remember how to enter it but do not listen to Google maps he sends you to a completely wrong parking lot

Its basically a few paths through the woods. The pond is cute and worth a visit, but be prepared for the mosquitoes. Follow the signs for Visitor Parking. The visitor parking lot is free and near the garden entrance. If your really bored its worth a visit, although I dont suggest you go out of your way.

I would possibly go again, but encountered an alcohol reeking homeless person on a bench not far in. Also didnt go too far before getting swarmed with mosquitoes!
