This is a very quaint Theatre in downtown Wilmington. The show was an amateur production. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The theatre is small so everyone gets a good seat, although my seat got a bit numb by intermission. Concessions, including beer and wine, were available.

Intimate theater in the heart of downtown Wilmington. We sat in the 3rd floor gallery, which has padded bench seats - very comfortable. Theater is very ornate, but has a casual atmosphere. Not a bad seat in the house. Large chandelier in the center that would block your view in the gallery seats raises up to the ceiling to provide an unobstructed view of the stage. Acoustics are also very good.

A great old venue to see shows, music and cinematique offers great movies that dont always make it to the regular movie theaters. Get there early because there are obstructed seats. And you can sip on some wine, water or sodas while snacking on popcorn or candy as you take in the lovely classic architecture before your event starts.

We recently attended a play of The Odd Couple in the Ruth & Bucky Stein Theatre, a smaller theater within Thalian Hall. The legroom for the seats in this theater are terrible. Everyone seemed to enjoy the performance, but everyone around us was complaining or making jokes about the lack of legroom. A few taller gentlemen sat on the isle steps at one point during the play. Eventually, the evening became more about trying to get comfortable in the seats than enjoying the performance. Theres little legroom, but plenty of room for improvement.

What a fantastic venue to catch a play or concert. One of the oldest continuous play houses still in operation. Plenty of history in a gorgeous setting. Go back in history and enjoy a fabulous historical building at the same time. Some seating does have obstructed views (full stage view is not visible-mainly in the top seating) but otherwise views are close to center stage (sight line distance) which makes for a very intimate and personal experience.

Saw an amazing show of Sunset Blvd on a Saturday night and was blown away by fantastic acting, amazing music, and such an incredible combination of the two, that I would definitely love to see it again. I havent gone to the theater in years, but this group of actors in this play made me feel like any play could be a wonderful experience. I cant forget to mention that the theater itself is absolutely beautiful. The details in the molding and art on the walls had me staring around the building until the lights dimmed. It was a positively one of a kind experience that I wish could be recreated in every theater.

I love live theatre and have been looking forward to attending an event here. I was not disappointed and very impressed. Not only by the historical impact as a continuous live production place since before the civil war but also by the sound system as well as the elegance of the interior. I was also pleasantly surprised that it wasnt all that large which means every seat is a great seat. 5 stars from a new Wilmington residence that loves live theatre.

Do NOT get tickets on the top balcony. I am not exaggerating when I say that you will not be able to see the stage from almost any seat up top. At the very best top seats, youll be able to see like 25% of stage. The giant solid wood banister blocks everything. We went for a comedy show, and couldnt even see the comedians. Absolutely disappointed and wasted money. They should be ashamed to sell those seats to anyone. Please see the below pictures of our view.
