This place is terrible. Save your money and enjoy the movie at home. Projector color was way off with viability all white color being a hot pink color. Picture clarity was at best 720p. Dont get me started on their additional company policies on specific mask types on top of the states tyrannosaurus mandates. Half of the drink machines were out of the regular choices. All of them were flat with no carbonation. Childrens seats to keep the fold down seats down were not available. For a family of 6 watching a movie in a theater at close to $150 this was not the experience one will come back for or recommend to anyone. Will enjoy this movie later in 4k and Dolby Atmos at home much better soon.

Decent nothing like how it use to be. Free refills on large popcorn and good customer service. No arranged sitting like mayfaire and no reclining chairs.

Nice small movie theater. The seats arent the best and the popcorn prices are outrageous, but the staff is nice and its better than watching a movie on your phone.

My family and I went for the first showing of a movie on Sunday, so we arrived as they opened the doors at 11:30. I understand that the theatre had been there for many years but the facility was in terrible condition. I at least expect the restroom to be clean, especially since we were the first people in the door as the theatre opened. Ive attached photos of the mens restroom as you enter the theatre. Other than the restroom experience, the rest of the theatre wasnt bad, you expect the older style seats with a dated structure and concession prices were good to average.

Popcorn is plain, tastes like it’s been on rusty metal and has no butter taste or anything. I saw that the theatre was called AMC Classic but man! This is literally Classic. The seats are hard and have no recline. Wouldn’t recommend if you care about the things you’re supposed to care about at a movie theatre lol.

I have always had great experiences at AMC theaters, but this was an exception. The customer service was good and the price was great (thus 2 stars, not 1), but the upkeep is not good. Everything in the theater is dirty. The bathrooms clearly do not get cleaned often and everything is covered in grime. The theater itself smelled musty and the floors were covered in candy and popcorn from a previous viewing despite two cleaning guys standing outside of the theater the entire evening. On top of that, the trailers were not displayed correctly (was fixed by the start of the movie though with no further issues. Once again, good job on the customer service).Overall this just left a negative impression and did not make for a grand experience. We were watching a very popular movie not that long after release and counting me and my wife, there were 3 people in the screening so it seems like this may be a reoccurring issue.Like I said, I like AMC usually, but not in Wilmington

Usually shows movies other theaters do not, however the theater is slightly behind other theaters. Very classic upright seats, no recliners yet, however the do have good service, however they arent always very good at keeping the lobby at a good temperature. I would definitely go back, but would take a jacket.

Staff was friendly and worked quickly to serve us. Theater is a bit old but comfortable and movie sound was good. Bathroom needs some repair and a good cleaning. A few touches would make this cinema solid, will go back though.

I love being able to actually afford to take my kids to the movies. Their prices are very reasonable. Needs a little updating but its clean and staff is friendly!

This is the theatre that has been needing a renovation for the last decade but no one wants to invest the money. The people working here are likely the best asset they have - the staff were friendly and helpful, which was lovely. Everything else is begging to be replaced. The bathrooms were particularly bad, with corrosion on the fixtures, missing privacy dividers, and problems that really cant be solved by simple cleaning.Aside from the staff, which I repeat - were great - theres really nothing to recommend about this place except that there also werent too many other people here.

Love that you can go to Sonic and then the movies or the other way around lol

Popcorn was a little stale but on Halloween night, was surprisingly empty.

The interior lights are never dimmed very much making the movie faded in the corners by the lights. Sound quality is good not too loud or soft. Seats dont recline much and for older movies the screen size is lacking. Could have bigger screens for newer releases so not sure if all are the same. Clean environment and friendly staff. Soda machine was out of lots of selections which is a bummer when you pay more for a drink than a ticket. Great priced tickets though

Nothing against the service or anything. Everytime Ive come here the service is fantastic my only complaint is the Bathrooms. Never have I been to a theater where the bathrooms were so poorly kept. No matter what time of day I come they are alway bad.

We bought our tickets early choosing not to wait in line for the release weekend for Frozen only to find out they had to close and cancel showings for a period of time. They are going to honor the tickets for a later showing but it disappointed the kids. Please get the issue fixed.

I love the fact that this movie theater is not packed like the one in Mayfair. I will drive a little further to come to this one.

Theatre is fine. Older for sure. The combo ticket/concession area was odd. Overall it was fine, no bells and whistles.

First time Ive been in this theater. I was impressed. The employees were very nice and had great customer service. The inside of the building was nice and updated. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because the restrooms were very dirty.

This place has charm even though its fairly outdated. The restrooms are in need of updating as are the projectors. But, its less money and you can always find a great seat.

Its refreshing to see a great company keeping things affordable for families. Everything was great as it always has been. We come there as opposed to two different theaters that are closer.

This is an easier theater to get in and out of, but smaller and less posh than newer, larger theaters. Seats are relatively comfortable, but do not recline.

It wasnt overly pricey. Went to a 830pm showing got inside at 820pm got tickets and bathroom out of the way with plenty of time to still watch previews! Cant wait to go again!

Its the theatre I go to for every movoe I wanna see. They usually have a large selection amd im an amc member so popcorn bucket! Never had a bad experience at the theatre amd the employees are all really nice.

There was 8 cars in the parking lot, in other words they werent busy. I bought a ticket to the 5:35 movie and nothing had started at 5:55. Had to go out and ask them if they were going to run the movie. It was so cold I was shivering. Not going back and neither should you. Dirty and cold and no one is running the place.

Customer service is good, but this place so sketchy and still has old seats not automatic seats like Regal Cinema. I’m giving 2 stars because of good customer service.

Always prefer this theater over the others. Not as crowded, prices are cheaper, and the popcorn is fresh! Other local theaters makes popcorn ahead of time and put it in containers. Its rarely hot or even warm. This theater doesnt do that.Unfortunately, the bathrooms sometimes need trash emptied, and cleaned sometimes, but if people would clean up behind themselves, like a responsible adult should, there wouldnt be an issue there.Staff has always been friendly and helpful.

My girlfriend and I recently went to go see the new Joker film, fairly excited to see it considering all the good things we’ve heard about it. We walk in and ask for two tickets, but the cashier said she needs to see our i.d.’s (mind you my girlfriend and are are both 20), which seemed a little redundant, but anyway we didn’t have them so we drove back home to grab her’s because mine was missing, but anyway we get back there and the lady cashier informs us we both have to be 21 or older because it’s “company policy”. According to the motion pictures association in America, to see any r-rated film requires you to be 17 or older, or accompanied by someone who is, which I was. I explained this to her and she kind of acted like I wasn’t even there. It’s usually pretty hard to give a one star review to a movie theater, but i felt like I was being treated like a child while at the same age was acting in a rude, unprofessional manner, I was quite dissapointed considering I’ve been coming here my entire life, guess I’m just going to give Mayfair’s movie theater my money now. Childish.

Love this place. Its kinda of small, but the seats are available, clean and the prices here are wonderful. Tickets for afternoon movies are below any other place in town, and the price on popcorn and drink is less money too. If you dont want to be broke after seeing a movie then this is a place to go to see your movie.

Good prices on tickets and friendly staff. The only issue is a constant musty smell in the entire theater and everytime Ive used the restroom it has smelled of urine and was utterly disgusting. Not a horrible theater, but not great either.

I have never liked this theater. I resent having to go to the food counter to buy a ticket (or pick one up if ordered online) and I think it could be cleaner. My wife wanted to see The Green Book, however, and this was our only option. Movie was pretty good, by the way. However, I generally avoid this theater in favor of one of the other two in town.

They forgot to turn down the overhead lights so I had to go ask them to 15 minutes into the movie. Otherwise they always have great service. Bathrooms could be better.

Affordable ticket pricing, ample parking lot and comfortable chairs - good! The air conditioning needs to be adjusted to be more cool. Forget about the consecions - they are super-super overpriced!

Lets start at the beginning. We pre-purchased our tickets. Which means that you should be able to just scan the app and go straight to concessions. It took much longer than it needed too. The person running the counter spent a great deal of time talking to the other workers and lost focus.At the concession stand we ordered popcorn, and drinks for our family. Which is ran be the same slack focused individual that scanned our tickets. When we went to butter the popcorn, there was a container of orange powder, everyone thought it was nacho cheese seasoning for the popcorn. We witnessed many people ahead of us using it liberally. Our family followed that course as well. Turned out to be butter flavored salt. My husband and I brought our popcorn up to the concessions stand and let them know that the popcorn was ruined and asked that they replenish.The three persons manning the stand, who clearly did not want to be working on a holiday. Began to ridicule and demean my husband and I for our mistake. The containor is unlabled....how should we have known. They refused to give us the equivalent amount of popcorn for our kiddos. Laughed at the thought that we would assume such a ridiculous thought as seasoning for our popcorn.When I began to express my dismay at their reluctance to provide new popcorn they became defensive and stated that we already had a refill. Ummm...no. We had what amounted to a salt lick only good for livestock. I got frustrated at this point and left. Went into the movie, only to fine that when it started the lights on the auditorium were malfunctioning. The movie screen streaked the entire width in black lines. Bathrooms in need of being cleaned and floors that were sticky. The mens, my son reported had puddles of urine and stank. He left and asked to take him back to the hotel to pee. My daughter and I had a similar experience with the bathroom being filthy, floors needed swept, mopped. Several stalls were out of order due the toilets being too filthy for use.With the number of people that were just standing around at the concession stand. The bathrooms and there features of this establishment should be clean.AMC should be ashamed. We are visiting the area, but we will never come back here again. Poor customer service mixed with a lack of cleanliness and maintenance. Save your selves the hassel and go to Regal.

These guys know whats up, all these new theaters in town trying to empty your bank account. This theater keeps it affordable to take your family out and still have comfortable stadium style seating.

I liked the idea of buying the tickets while ordering snacks. I really like the refillable popcorn bucket! The theater was clean and the seating was comfortable.The volume in the theater was very loud, there were 25 mins of previews and the ladies room was discusting (according to 2 ladies in our party)

I have not been to this theatre recently. Wow is has declined! Bathrooms are cleaner at a truck stop! Soap and paper towels in only 1 dispenser. Floor in lobby is dirty and employees are standing around doing nothing. We visited at a slower time of the day. If our preferred movie was showing at any other theater we would have left! Gross!!!

I had to walk to the concession stand twice to ask them to turn off theater lights and turn on ac, but they fixed issues promptly. Not horrible.

Well we went and got our tickets previous to time of show so we already had them and could just go in.Thats was cool.Of course the prices for snacks are outrageous .6.49 for a slushie wow....But thats the case when going to the movies anywhere just had to say thats the only part that could be better.It was good experience and the employees are great not their fault that the prices are hi as you know what !!

Im writing this review after being highly dissatisfied for the second time. I recently saw Lion King and stories to tell in the dark and the screen brightness in both movies were super dark. I expected alot of dark scenes in the chiller movie but the entire film was dark including the daytime scenes in both movies and they were both very fuzzy. My fiance and I both noticed this. There were even scenes where we could see lines running up and down the 2 screens. This theater should definitely consider investing in new screens. The only reason we didnt leave both times was because we had already paid for drinks, popcorn and snacks.

Ok theater. The signs for each theater room was not on and the projector room had a light on that could be seen on the screen.

A little less kept/older then other AMC theaters. It by no means was a bad experience. It wasnt dirty either. I have simply been to other AMCs that where more up to date/better kept. The movie was great and the experience as a hole was nice.

Its a very convenient theater with good special on Tuesdays. I joined their A- List Club for $21.00 a month. 3 movies a week, no charge.

Great price if you go before 4pm. Usually not too many people there which is nice. Looked like a bag full of popcorn was spilled on the floor and not cleaned up. Otherwise I like this theater and recommend it.Someone posted being upset about having to go to the concessions counter for tickets. That’s a smart idea on their part for two reasons. 1) one less worker to pay to man the ticket booth, and 2) it gets you that much closer to buying a snack. I didn’t mind it at all.

It was my first time going to this theater. I recently just purchased AMCs Stub A-List membership. (Totally worth it from what I can tell so far)When having my phone scanned for my 1st free movie, (12 a month) and getting concessions, the crew chief, (I think his name was Chad?), he was very knowledgeable and helpful with the questions I had about my new membership and explained the benefits that come with it. He even pressed buttons for me on the CCard machine because I totally forgot about my glasses laying right in front of me. *He probably thought I was drunk* Anyway, it was a very painless and pleasant experience!(And if you watched the series, Downton Abbey, go see the movie!)

I got here 2:30 for a 2:35 movie. it is 3:05 and the movie Ads just stop. AmC over charges and then makes makes u wait to watch what you already paid for.

Tuesday night Joker with popcorn and drink for $11. Great deal but the theater needs some updating to match the quality of the other big 2 in Wilmington.

I have been to this theater several times. Every year its been declining. My most recent experience was seeing a big waterbug reflecting off the lighting down the stairwell next to where I was sitting.

My fiancee and I recently chose to come here and we were thoroughly enjoyed with this establishment. They have clean seating areas, plentiful concessions, and maintained bathrooms. It reminded us of our local theater back home and it felt comfortable.I would definitely recommend this theater to others.

The screen was glitching and one speaker was delayed on the play back. I was in theater 4.

Never going to the Wilmington NC 16 again!!! I t showed that the movie was playing at this theater. The movie poster was physically outside the theater and movie time posted near the concession stand. I tried calling to confirm times but no one answered-10 times. I try to buy tickets and they said they aren’t showing that movie because the room is too warm. What??? I tried calling the AMC corporate number and spoke to a supervisor and she said she would get a message to the manager at the theater but couldn’t do anything else. She said to try to call them and I asked her for a phone number that doesn’t go straight to voicemail and she couldn’t provide one. She also couldn’t provide a timeframe for someone getting back to me. How convenient- no accountability and no way to contact them directly. Horrible service!!Update: The manager did contact me to apologize for what happened and offered 2 free movie tickets. He said that they should be answering phones during the weekend and it should not go straight to voicemail.

Its was alright its was a bit cool but itll would have been alright if i had bring a jacket to wear in the theater other than that it was nice theater i like it the people that works there were nice also.

Very very sad. Used to be a nice clean theater. Very run down now. The lobby for was filthy before and after the movie. The mens room was horrible before and after the film. No reason because the theater s not busy at all. The mens room smelled like a porta potty in the summer. The theater itself smelled stale, like old sweat on sheets. The theater was not clean, the walls were stained etc. This was not like this 2 years ago. I dont know what happened but its a shame.... 2 stars is kind.

Tuesdays is usually a longer wait in line but thats because its matinee day. Customer service is usually nice and they are usually helpful. They dont mind helping you save money if they can. Its usually clean and parking is not too bad unless its new release day. Its a nice size theatre with a variety of food options.

After being bought out by AMC I expected more of a change in atmosphere and technology in the theater, but its just not happened yet. Looks exactly the same as it did when it was Carmike, and the screens/picture quality has been far outdone by other newer theaters in the area. Not terrible, though, by any means, and definitely has the best prices in town as far as tickets are concerned.

Love the movies and the general theater was clean. Love the people behind the counter; however, the other employees seem to be most interested in their cell phones. The Mens Room was filthy per my husband.

Worth the drive to Wilmington for us to see a movie here. Comfortable and wellmaintained with ample viewing space!

This is a place to get Great deals and catch up on recent films ! The staff was super helpful and friendly. The bathrooms are a bit antiquated. I enjoyed the movie and the place was not crowded. Its also easy to park here.

I honestly never have had a problem here. The front end is usually pretty nice and helpful. Arcade is fairly solid. Theaters are nice after the remodel. Overall good place to go.

Might havee been a really nice place in its heyday. A little worn out now. Snack bar on both sides of the lobby. One one in use everytime l have been here, no crowds, in and out no problems. Staff as is most of these places young and less than eager. Viewrooms are clean and sound great. Tickets are cheaper here than back home in DC restrooms clean as well

Being from outta state and been to many theaters, I’ve never seen one that serves beer and wine at the concession stands. So I thought that was really cool. The staff was very helpful with questions and friendly. The facility was very clean. It was not crowded. The ICEE machine could use some maintenance. The seating in the rooms were nice. They don’t move so it was a little stiff to seat on but had good cushions. Went to see Pacific Rim: Uprising. Wasn’t as good as the first but still enjoyed my time with my wife and my brother-in-law.
