I didnt have a dog but it was a close place to go on a walk. Im sure in the Spring and Summer its lush with greenery, but at this time of the year everything was looking pretty dead. You can make it as easy or difficult of a walk you like.

What a glorious place to take my dog! Hills and hills of romping fun, with beautiful views of open space. I saw soaring hawks and lots of other birds, along with so many happy fellow dog owners. Although the parking lot wasnt very big, the turnover of vehicles was fast so I didnt have to wait long.

A beautiful park with miles of trails for you and your furry friends to walk, run and bike on - no leash needed! If you climb the hill, youll enjoy 360 degree views of Denver, Pikes Peak and RMNP. Note the larger crowds on weekends and evenings, especially with good weather. Please be respectful of both the trails and others that are using them. While its an off-leash park, leash any dog who does not play well with others. Pick up after your dog and, most importantly to this of us who use this park regularly, keep single track single.

Great park with lots of room for the dogs to run. There are multiple parking lots which is nice. There are lots of trails, so there are options to have the dogs play together near the entrance where most people congregate, but also options to have a walk alone on the trails further out. Great views of the mountains!

Our favorite dog park in the area because theres so much room for the dogs to run. They love playing in the river! We just discovered that theres a second entrance further south. Thats good if you want a big long flat place to walk. This is especially good if you want to keep your dogs dry.

Best dog park around! Huge open space. Pups can run free throughout the park and also enjoy a large, meandering stream for splashing and swimming. There is a nice shaded area for we humans, too. My one issue with this park is that its only partially fenced, so watch your runaway dogs carefully while youre there!

Plenty of room for dogs to play together and plenty of room to social distance or walk with your dog alone, given the massive expanse of the park. Areas near the parking lots are easily walkable. There are trails that take you away from the main congregation points if you want some space. Trails are clear, a bit rocky if you have difficulty walking. There is a lot of cactus off trail to be wary for your pooch off-leash. Highly recommend carrying water.Dogs can swim and play in a small stream.Best if dogs are well trained and respond to commands. Do not recommend bringing disobedient or aggressive dogs unless they are leashed.

Fantastic place for your pup to run, play, or simply take a nice long stroll/hike. There is a stream running through which has plenty of water after it rains so dogs can cool off and great views of the front range. Parking can be difficult, so feel free to utilize some of the other parking areas besides the main entrance.

Its free, very spacious, many hiking trails going in all directions, mostly flat with a couple of rolling hills. Two parking lots, one south and east of park. Signs state beware of Rattlers, not to say there arent any, but Ive never seen one in at least 30 visits. There is a creek that runs through a small section of the space but it dries up quick, depending on how much snowpack, rain there is during the season.

Great dog park - huge area, plenty of space for dogs to roam, with water for dogs to cool off in. My favorite dog park! This place is HUGE. You can get a good mini “hike” in while letting your dog wear themselves out. There’s always a lot of other dogs there to socialize with, but not crowded due to all the space. They fill up the river in summer so all the pups can swim!

First time visiting this dog park near Westminster, CO. It’s got plenty of room for your pup to run and hiking trails for the humans. A loop around the park takes around an hour and there are beautiful views of the mountains in the background . The park is fenced but dogs can easily get through the fence so if yours would run maybe not the best place to go. There was a little mud where it appeared a river dried up but not much other than that. Will be coming back soon !

So much room for dogs to play, particularly in the large ditch that runs through the park. It is not fenced in at all but there is a lot of buffer space from any roads or homes, so a reasonably trained dog should be just fine.

This place is a great location for letting your dogs get some exercise and fresh air. I have three small issues. First, there are a good amount of cacti plants on the ground that could be a hazard for some dogs and people - our corgi got a paw injury from one of these. Second, the fences around the place are not super secure or perfectly maintained, so watch your dog carefully around them. Finally, there arent many places to dispose of so a few irresponsible people dont bother to pick it up, or leave their baggies in random places (gross and lazy combo, ugh). Still, lots of fun and a good, convenient experience overall.

Its a real happening place with trails that go for miles. With its proximity to Rocky Flats (a plutonium trigger factory in the 1950s) where open barrels of plutonium are still buried beneath the soil just a few miles from these trails, it is super high risk strolling your pups here since plutoniums half life is 24,000 years and the rates of cancer in Arvada are incredibly high due to alpha particles through inhalation. If you must go, wash your pups, wash your car, wash your clothes when you get home yet maybe do your homework and reconsider all together.

With hundreds of acres and miles of trails. This off leash dog park is perfect if you want to go for a walk or a run with your furry buddy. This is a good place to socialize your dog, play fetch or let them decide what they want to do.Depending if your dog likes to go off trails you might have to pull a cactus thorn out of your friends paw every once and a while and you may want to bring water so they dont drink the stagnant muddy water. It really is a treat to see my dog just be able to run as far and as fast as she can and make new friends. Love the dog park, my dogs favorite hangout to meet and make new friends. Majority of the times, the people with dogs out there are the warmest and nicest folks in Colorado. Some things to watch out for are the rattle snakes that do come out when the heat is up. also another con is there are joggers, people with kids and no dogs who misuse the park. Wish someone put a notice out there stating that only folks with dogs are allowed here since this is after all a DOG park. This is not a picnic spot for families with no PETS. I see kids swimming in the stream means to for dogs in spite of the warning put out. Dangerous!!

We love this place. If your dog is well-trained and listens to voice commands while running around, then this is a fantastic place to come walk for an hour or two. Parking is limited but we’ve never had trouble finding a spot, as people come and go non-stop. A few times we’ve encountered people with their toddlers running around, which is not a good idea with dozens of dogs running around, but that’s the only real thing to keep an eye out for so far.

Groomed paths for walking, beautiful views of the Flat Irons and Flat Tops. Next to eagle preserve so if youre lucky you might see one flying around. The park backs to open sspace where you can hike with your dogs on a leash. The only reason I gave it a 4 stars is because some people dont pickup their poop and poop bags, which is always disappointing. Also, watch out for small cacti and snakes in warmer temps.

Came here today for the first time in a long time. A decade at least. The creek was dry as was the pond I remembered. There was little boy shade and although its only about 50f out there, with the direct sun light thats still pretty warm for most dogs without having a way to cool off.Since the last time I was here they added port-o-potties and some trash cans for the poo bags, so thats good.Although the parking lot was full there was still plenty of space for everyone to move about without feeling they were atop one another. However, very few people seemed to be interacting with each other and not letting their dogs associate with new dogs either. I was a little disappointed with such behaviors. If youre going to have a social animal youre going to need to be social.
