I grew up right down the road from it. It was called “Pillar of Fire”. It was originally a college. My then boyfriend was a DJ for the radio station that used to be there. It was really a creepy place at night, especially in the basement. You can read about it’s history “Pillar of Fire”. You might be surprised at some of the things you will learn !

Westminster Castle is quite a spectacle. Its a truly amazing castle! This place feels unreal. When standing in front of it its easy to imagine that this might be what being at Hogwarts could be like. Sitting high on the hill and surrounded by lush green grass. Its definitely a destination to make when in Colorado!

I was at the castle 7 years ago because there was a news video shown on one of the local network about people seeing a UFO there. My friend and I filmed the sky to the south of the castle, but didnt see anything UNTIL we got back home and viewed the footage - sure enough, there was a UFO that streaked across the light cloud cover several times! Gotta get back there and check it out again - with a camera!

There is a reason that this beautiful and solidly constructed building occupies this particular piece of land, as it has for over 100 years. The views from this part of town are actually up on a ridge that has an unblocked panorama of downtown to the south and the entire front range to the west. Its nothing short of amazing to sit up here at sunset and watch the sky and clouds as they drift through the shades of orange to pink and then eventually darken to purple, blue and gray as night sets on the metropolitan area.

It was cool, but I wish there was more stuff to do. Maybe add a walking path or something. Great view of the Denver skyline though.

Unique beautiful building with million dollar views. The actual castle functions as a school which is a closed campus so its not open to the public very often. You cant get to close to the bulding but road has nice views of Denver

When i first moved to this part of town i walked over to the castle and all around it. I went inside downstairs to the Pillar of Fire Studios and Asked if i could explore and they said yes in 1984. they gave me some history and told me can find all the history of what was to have been Westminster University. reflection of British colleges. Westminster library has complete history.

I live a few blocks over from this place. I think its official name is Pillar of Fire. I dont think its open to the public, aside of having its own small school for kids, but Im not sure about that. Ive heard rumors down through the years that this place and its cemetery are haunted, but dont know if thats true.
