Our favorite place to take my son! They have a huge area with multiple play things, swings, an open area for your dogs, water and a fenced in area to walk out on the water. The geese and ducks are always so beautiful and active. The play area is kept up nice and there are plenty of things for kids of all ages to do. Mine is almost two and loves it here.

Nice location off in a residential area. Features a pond, basketball court, spacious field for the dog to run and play while the kids play on the playground and the adults can cook and relax at the sheltered picnic area.

I like this park and pond. Has ducks and a gazebo as well as permanently afixed grills (charcoal) . Its close to home for me .Average 12 inch bass6 inch bluegill and sunfish.Biggest catfish Ive caught here is 19inch.Yes I released them all . I sport fishLive nightcrawlers and a a bobber rig is best here as the pond is only like 6 feet deep.. bad thing is that people come up to you while fishing and start throwing bread In the pond for the ducks . This is illegal BTW. Stop feeding bread at fishing ponds you are ruining the wildlife. And it scares off the fish

It was really pretty and has a nice little covered place that you can rent for parties right next to a little pond. The only issue we had was we couldn’t enjoy it due to the weather as it was somewhat of a torrential downpour. We still had fun and it’s no fault of the park that it was doing so. You can book the place online which may be worth it, though I can tell you for certain no one was battling us for the space when we were there as no one else was there. I went back later and without the rain it is a very pretty spot to relax with family at.

Always a great place for a nice walk with the friends or dogs. Youll find a great playground onsite as well as a great water feature. Nice trails that lead around the water feature, you can get some great pictures of the downtown area and the baseball fields. Lots of wildlife and people generally clean. Highly recommend.

In the middle of the day, with tons of people around, the sprinklers come on. This is completely rediculous, not only is it the heat of the day, but people are trying to enjoy themselves. Pictured is my bench, soaking wet, with both of my dogs tied to it. Luckily they could avoid the spray... I had to grab all of my stuff, including electronics AND my knitting and scramble to not get soaked myself. Who expects sprinklers in the middle of the day?!?!?!?

The port-a-potty is gone. :( It was my main reason to come today - an open space to reorganize my car and hacky-sack without having to drive elsewhere for the restroom. Bummer! What changed since autumn? Just the winter? Irving Street Park still has its portable toilet; I don’t get it. It’s hard enough finding a public toilet around Denver without the port-a-potties disappearing too. If I had a quarter for every extra mile I have put on my car trying to find a place to relieve myself that isn’t a ditch, I could probably fill my tank from empty. No wonder some homeless folks go on the ground - at least I have a car to go find an actual facility... I cannot imagine “holding it” for several walked blocks just to be told “no public restrooms” and walk so many more. Folks that aren’t me must have amazing capacity, or have better memory retention about where they CAN go, or something. Geez.Such a shame, it’s a great park except for that horrifying shortcoming. Watched for goose poo, as always, but enjoy climbing on the playground (it’s good exercise for me, under 5’), seeing the pond, watching the flocks and pet-walkers.But who could stay for long without a toilet available? It’s above 60* today - folks might like to linger. Maybe that’s what they’re discouraging. Mamas better have a plan for their little ones!Well, I’m on a tight day laboring budget, so free places are the best spaces, as far as I’m concerned. Guess my gas to find a toilet is a relatively small price to pay, unlike the coffee shops’ “free” WiFi with purchase of something my thighs do NOT need. Hah.

This is a great park, it is well designed. It is in a great location and I recommend it. It has a basketball park, a huge playground, one for the little ones which is right next to the pavilion and one for the bigger kids next to the pavilion but not as close. They dont have an actual restroom but the do have port o potties. Both birthday BBQs turned out great. This is definitely one of my favorites.

Great park! By far our favorite in the area. There is a huge field for running and playing. There is a pond, with a viewing deck and benches. There is also a gazebo by the pond, with many picnic tables and a couple barbeques. There is also a bathroom here! A basketball court too. The playground is amazing. There is an area for smaller kids, and a structure for big kids. The area for the little ones includes a slide to climb up (with built in footholds and bumps to navigate), a couple slides, two steering wheels for pretend play, a tunnel to crawl through, and a couple ways to climb up. The ground cover is wood chips/mulch. The larger structure, its phenomenal. There is nothing they left out when building this. Numerous slides, including ones that swirl, ones that are wavy, and one really tall and steep one! Ive never seen one like it anywhere else. There are too many things to list, but suffice it to say that anything you could imagine on a play structure is here. There is also a pretend fire truck and wheel to steer, two actually. There are swings, including baby swings. There are many little climbing structures with educational pieces, like those little spinning tic-tac-toe things, but with planets and states, and fruits and vegetables. Great for learning! The only thing this park is missing are those little animals on a spring, to pretend to ride. But there are so many other great things that you wont notice theyre missing! There is also a gazebo right next to the playground, with about four picnic tables. Great for kids birthday parties!
