This is unique kind of park in middle of uptown. I liked most is climbing tower and where you need to climb the ropes to go slides. Two slider are there at two different height, it seems easy but kind of challenging. There is small water play park as well for kids to play in summer. There is big cycle way as well for kids to play or ride. One more easy way to find is it’s next to westerville public library and you can see from the library.

It was well kept & nice playground equipment however, its quite small. I am also disappointed that the splash area wasnt working. I get that its during the pandemic but, we called ahead of time & asked if everything was open & were told yes! I would have appreciated the man on the phone taking 1 more second out of his day to day: everything but, the splash area, are open.

I love all the parks around westerville, but this one has to be on the bottom end of that list. I just feel the space was used correctly. The small kids play area is literally just a 3 ft slide and some things to jump on. The big kids play area is a 8x8 square that stands 30 ft high that uses a rope mesh to climb up. Ive seen many 3-5yo attempt to use it only to get scared and just as many anxious parents watching their fairless young child climb higher and higher.Splash pad is a good time but can get very crowded. If you have the choice, I would choose somewhere else.

The new playground at Hanby Park isnt having its official grand opening until Saturday, May 12th, but my daughter and I stopped by a couple days early after a trip to the Westerville Library (which this playground is conveniently located just behind). This is an awesome park with a great location, and Im sure it will be extremely popular. Theres a really fun climbing/slide structure thats sure to be a hit with little climbers. Im most excited that this park will be home to Westervilles first splash pad. What I love about the splash area is that there are big swings for parents to lounge on overlooking where their children can splash around. I can foresee the perfect summer day in Westerville: take advantage of the numerous bike paths for a family bike ride to Uptown, where you can grab a coffee, grab some donuts or lunch, and visit the library before finishing out the afternoon at Hanby Park!

Nice hangout for the kiddos. They seem to have lots of fun from the fountains to the playground to the climbing area.Playground has swings, slides and other assorted things.Only possible improvement I would add is more shade for parents around the benches or near the fountains. It gets pretty hot otherwise.

Smaller park but newer and very nice. Splash area has a few swings for parents to sit and watch. Also grass area to bring your own chairs. Play area has swings and a slide and climb area for smaller kids. Swings for big kids and a unique climb area with two slides for big kids. This area is difficult for kids 4 and under and even harder for an adult to supervise. Play area has a very cushy flooring so falls hurt less. Not alot of shade yet until trees mature. Covered area with lots of tables for parties or picnics. Grass area is nice and has some shade but no seats so bring your own. All in all a nice place to stop and cool off. My almost 3 year old was very satisfied with what the park offered.

Adorable little park off the bike path and close to the library. My little one loves the splash pad. There is a smaller climber and a challenging slide one that are both fun. I also like the baby and adult tandem swing! You can also fill up the air in your tires or have a picnic under the pavilion. For such a small park it really has a lot!

Neat little Park located near my sons elementary School. Has a really cool climbing area that is pretty tall. I told my son if his mom and I ever get in a fight and I dont come home if you can find me with a sleeping bag in the top of that structure. Glad they added the splash pad. This is a neat little neighborhood park. The playground should be sufficient for most children through pre-teen. There is a splash pad so be prepared with a change of clothes and a towel. There are shaded benches and porch- style settings for parents. It includes a walking path that is part of a larger trail circuit. Go and enjoy.

It can get very hot as was evident by the event that caught my attention when a young boy went running across screaming while his feet were burning.

My kids favorite park. Has a little kids jungle gym, swings, a big kids tower jungle gym and water spouts/fountains for the kids to run through. Theres a shelter with 2 tables, you cant rent the shelter though, called the rec center and they said its to busy to be rentable. Wish they had more shelter space and it was rentable. Park has 3 porch swings for the adults by the water fountains. This park is right behind the Westerville Public Library. There are kennels for your dog at the park as well as air for bike tires, 2 public restrooms, and its right on the bike trail that cuts through Westerville. Great place.

We were excited to check out a new splash pad but were extremely disappointed. This is a great park for little kids (say 4 and under) and the slide is a unique feature for bigger kids (maybe 7 and up? Im bad at ages). Theres not much for the kids who fall in the middle of those ages. The climbing/playground equipment is minimal and the splash pad is small. The design of the slide looks cool but doesnt allow for much varied play or for many kids to enjoy it at once. And if a kid cant climb straight up and/or doesnt cope well with being jammed into an enclosed space with every other big kid, forget it.The swinging benches look amazing, I just wish they were at a park that would keep my kids interested.
