By far my wife and Is favorite stop when we head to the Traverse area for some wine tasting. It may be a small little farm in comparison to many of the other wineries in the area, but its by far one of the best and most professional. And the staff is extremely kind and helpful! Definitely recommend checking them out!

Cute/average overall. Rooting for the little guys, but wasnt impressed.--My wife and I went wine tasting with another couple. We visited ten vineyards total during our weekend stay in the area. We are amateur wine tasters in every sense.THE GOOD:Adorable schoolhouse with very delicious/interesting sangria. Some vineyard seating available.THE BAD:Small servings and served to us in plastic cups. Expensive for the size of the pour. Seated in a parking lot. Late harvest riesling was underwhelming. No views.

This was not on our original list of places to stop, but as we drove by we thought Why not? Glad we did as it was a great little place. Staff were super nice and the wine was good. We were happy to bring a couple bottles home and if we are there again we will probably stop by!

This was our last stop on our wine tour and the best of all 5! Thank you Caitlin. Please support the local wineries and small businesses. Not only did Peninsula have great wines but they also have great customer service. I left with 3 bottles. TSA is going to have a field day when they open my bag.

Extremely disappointing! Paid for a pint of their cider...received about 8 oz. I challenge them to put 16 ounces of water into their glasses and see how much ends up on the floor! (BTW there are 16 ounces in a pint) Staff was nice but the owners are cheating the public!

Considering COVID restrictions they handled the outdoor tasting pretty well and were clever on presenting the wines I selected to taste. I recommend the cab franc- merlot reserve & Manigold vyd Gewurztraminer.

Beautiful outdoor patio and a wine flight on a sunny northern Michigan day makes for a pleasant way to pass some time. Too bad it was so close to our lunch, otherwise we would have gotten the charcuterie in a box to munch on. Very nice wines! Exchange Student is one of our favorites.

Stopped here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. It got very busy after a while so we left but not without getting a growler of their cherry habanero cider - it’s delicious!

Excellent wine tastings- this is a great winemaker if you prefer fruit-forward, sweeter wines. I enjoyed their dry wines even though I do not typically enjoy dry whites. I was so impressed that I walked out with 12 bottles. Barbara, Carissa, and Anna took great care of me and all of the other visitors! Very knowledgeable and friendly. Peninsula Cellars is worth the visit! Stand-outs include Detention, Summer Vacation, and the Semidry Riesling.

The tasting room is based in a redesigned old school house. Peninsula cellars offers delicious selection of wine with titles that have all school based themes. For only a dollar per tasting try at least 10. The newest is a light sweet white called summer vacation which is perfect for a summer afternoon.

My favorite winery, EVER!!!! Seriously, I’m super picky with my wines, but I love just about every single one here. We come yearly and it’s always our go-to spot. My hubby isn’t crazy about wine, but he will actually drink some here (which says a lot)! Can’t wait to visit again! The staff is always super fun, too! Highly recommend!

The old schoolhouse and the theme for their wine names is very cute, and I think if you are looking for simpler, sweeter wines this may be your place. It was worth a stop to try something different, but as I am not a fan of sweet wines it wasnt my favorite Old Mission visit.

A good future stop on my #DiscoveryMichigan #WineTours - a one day group excursion from #GrandRapids to #TraverseCity and back. I can also incorporate them into my one day #CiderTours & #GhostTours. The staff is helpful and friendly. The building is an old schoolhouse, which always feels cool. Ask them about the prankster ghost! #EduTours
