This is a lovely park with a beautiful botanical garden. The park is free to enter, but they do guide tours for a small fee. The pharmacy serves as a store and little dinner. They have shakes, ice cream, a small menu, and more; the staff is very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely recommend this park for a date, family outing, or just to go hang out with some friends.

Very nice and relaxing place to come and see the beautiful light displays at night. I especially love the Asian garden display with the meditation bell. Reminds me of my old martial arts training facilities when everyone was outside doing various exercises and meditation. I was honestly expecting to see a group of students jogging by with their sparring sticks.

What a happy accident to find this park. The historic buildings and gardens are so picturesque. We were just looking for a place to eat lunch and we found a small adventure in addition to picnic benches and clean bathrooms.

The family and I stopped here on a trip out west. We absolutely loved it! An 1800s town all laid out for you to walk around in coupled with some nice botanical gardens AND ITS FREE!! There is a gift shop and a ice cream soda shop (old school pharmacy) that you can stop at and enjoy some refreshments at. They have a tour as well but you should check their site for hours.

Great place to see beautiful flowers and see a vintage town circa 1875. Tulips at Twilight is a great event. Be sure to go late in the evening in late April and enjoy the lights. During the event all the different buildings are open to tour and see what life was like in the late 19th century.

This hidden gem offers a great mix of history and biology in a quiet Topeka neighborhood. The historic village re-creation is a neat glimpse into Kansas past and can offer interesting facts even without a tour guide thanks to helpful informational signage. The surrounding gardens are beautiful and have well-paved walking paths meandering through. There are lots of places to sit and enjoy the scenery as well as plenty of picture-worthy backdrops. The only payment we made for our hour-long walk was $0.25 to feed the koi fish in the Japanese gardens. (Which, I might add, was well worth it.) This is a lovely place for people of any age to wander.

This is such an awesome place to visit. Great for families and couples to stroll through. Lots of photo ops. Many entertaining local events happen here. Old Prairie Town is so cool to walk around when its open and you can go through the buildings and take in some history. My favorite event is Tulips at Twilight. The garden is lit up with lots of colors and you can visit the little town at night as volunteers take you through the history of each location.

Beautiful garden with amazing hotsa and the trees were in full fall colors. The mansion is very interesting with a great story. The Old Paririe Town is a collection of relocated building and historic memorbilia, dont miss the dentist office. You will want to visit in the spring, but you tour the gardens and grounds anytime.
