Very beautiful monument.3.00 cash for vehicles.Dont plan a full day to see this, it takes 10 min at the most.Poorly marked so you are confused on where to walk or what there is to see.Besides viewing the monument, and a sign about the war, there is nothing else to view in regards to the war. When I googled this historic battlefield, I was expecting to see a battlefield with historic items in it. Was very unhappy to be lead to a place where the land is fully private properties.
Have only been here once before during a reenactment. We decided to take a hike here in the winter and check out the area. The monument is about the only piece of history you can see. Its all interesting but there is very little to do otherwise. Wish there was more signage to be able to take a hike around or follow a path. Everything is either fenced off or youre walking right on the road.
$3 cash only per vehicle. Plan on 30 minutes. Keep your expectations in check: there are two signs measuring 2 X 3 explaining the battle, and one earthwork: (dirt berm measuring 4 feet tall, 15 feet wide, 60 feet long). Thats it for the period stuff. You can see the river / marsh. The road crosses over it in what I assume to be the natural bridge (40 feet wide, looks like a man-made dike ). There are also 3 picnic tables under cover, bathrooms with flushing toilets, electricity and running sink water. There are no electricity outlets in the bathroom, but one on the wall of the wellhouse - unsure if it is active. There are two water faucets on the grounds, but no handle.
Nice little family friendly park. Would be nice is there was a few more activities to do, but all and all is a wonderful little park to escape to for some rest and relaxation.Love the historic remakes of the civil war and the trails that can be walked on.
What can I say. Its a historical place with a monument. The value is in the history.
This was the 155 anniversary. Smaller than Oluste but very well done by the Florida State Parks. Lots of reenactors and settlement
Come during reenactments. Fun activities, good food, interesting people, well organized itineraries, and awesome battle scenes.
Cuz it has its place in history!
Wonderful place to visit
Anything worth seeing is unfortunately fenced off. Could be a very cool park if not
Very clean, very well-maintained. Not a lot of information on the Battle of natural bridge, or about natural bridge itself.
The land is preserved, has a historical society focused on preservation and being historically correct. The park is always open to enjoy its natural beauty.
Interesting for the historian. Not much to see beyond the monuments but they are worth it if only to learn about Floridas heritage. Wear bug repellent!!! The deer flies will carry you away.
Such a beautiful place to visit
An important historical site however, theres not much to look at. Dont plan your trip around seeing this site as it appears most of the area around the park is all private land.
As a lover of history, Ive always wanted to visit this site since childhood. Today I had my chance. The rain kept me from a longer stay. In my Arnold Voice, ILL BE BACKKKK.
Beautiful place tucked away in the woods
Peaceful quiet and very historical.
Not a lot to see. Would be interesting to see the reenactment!
Extremely clean and well preserved.
Poorly marked trails and we had no clue where to go
We attended the Civil War Reenactment this weekend. Our family really enjoyed it. A must see.
Small renactment, but well done. There is a food vendor as well as modern shops and authentic shops. Small activities through the weekend. The ball Saturday night is a good time. A historical monument also. It would be nice if more vendors could be here and more people showed up.
Beautiful river for kyaking. Shaded and quiet.
They have done a lot of improvements looks really great
Love this place. Quiet and lots of history. And found some painted rocks.
Beautiful area. Kids loved walking around, seeing nature, and viewing the monuments.
It a great place for hiking and fishing.
A fun little state park on the side of the road. A little out of the way but full of history and significance. If youre in the are I would highly recommend you stopping by for an hour so so.
This place had yellow flies like crazy which we could not enjoy the area because of that. As soon as we get out of our vehicle they started swarming us and we had to run away because they kept attacking us and the kids. So its a nice area just the bugs made it to unenjoyable.
Gorgeous. Nice little walk to stretch the legs. Well maintained. Spotless restrooms.
Lest we forget. Heaven.
Florida does state parks right. The Battle of Natural Bridge Reenactment is a highlight every year.
Nice monuments and bathrooms
Wonderful park. Beautiful!
Its a quiet Park tucked away into bird chirping woods.
Great history here. Well maintained facilities. DONT FORGET TO PAY!!!
Commemorating the only southern capital that did not fall during the war of northern aggression and the battle that kept it safe. The defense carried out by old men and little boys that were left behind
The annual re-enactment is some of the most fun you can have.
Always has been a good place.
A lovely day out and the guide was wonderful.
Absolutely fantastic place to take the family for a picnic dinner and the learn about the history of the Civil War in the Tallahassee area
I Love to go there very nice
We went here to clear from our bucket list. Dont bother. Nothing to see except one monument and locals fishing.
History!
Other than a monument and an historic sign, there is nothing else that marks the battle. No ranger.
Nicely kept and good history about civil war.
Beautiful place but park service staff was rude and hard on the reanactors
Pretty sweet
Awesome
Peaceful park
Beautiful place to visit
Interesting history and natural beauty.
Lovely
Love the history
Great history
Awesome adventure
Nothing to do there but look at a monument.
Must see the battle reenactment in March!!
Very small, very off the beaten path, but history buffs will love the monument.
