Good trails & lots of wildlife. I saw some deers today. However, its a bit confusing and convoluted for a first-timer.

A great place to fish and pitch a tent. Multiple landings to launch your boat and multiple camping areas. Beautiful lake. Plenty of Alligators so be careful.

Fort Braden Trails are amazing! Moderate difficulty long trails that lead through streams to the edge of Lake Talquin. Saw several Ospreys, Hawks, Falcons and a Bald Eagle. Also spotted water snakes and alligators.

Nice hike. Please, please, please check the blazing of trees in the midsection of the central loop trail. Theres a gap of about 75 yards where Michael knocked down a lot of trees. I was lost, trying to get back to the trail head, for almost an hour. Kept the sun on my right and followed the stream beds and sounds of traffic. But it was tense. Stayed one night at camp number 9 grills and all camp sites are poorly maintain.

Great ride thru the woods.well taken of dirt roads! Great fishing on the river.only bad part is the walk back to the parking lot from fishing all day! Its up hill all the way

Walked two trails that they have to offer as part of the Florida Trailwalker Program. Excellent park for trails and had a great time. If you enjoy hiking, check out the Trailwalker Program the Florida State Forest offers.

I always love coming here. Great place, great trails, friendly rangers, and well kept facilities. Very nice campground, love all the pull through sites. All sites nicely separated.very very nice, we are hoping to stay another day if we can get in tomorrow.

Beautiful place!! Walking trails are beautiful, well maintained, and the informational plaques along the way make for learning. We bring our dog to walk on the weekends and he loves it. The park has ample parking, grill, and playground areas for children as well.

Best place to put your boat in and get lost on the water for the day. Or you can rent a cabin and stay for a while.

Whenever we find time as locals this is where we go for free pleasure and entertainment like fishing, picnicking, walking, or just simply parking and strolling to enjoy the view and the atmosphere. I did not rate a perfect rating because some spots have people throwing garbage into the lake or the marshes. I dont know how to remedy that but maybe adding more Trash Bins would help, or extracting FINES would help.

I went to the Okolocknee River via a private trail. Sandbars are great for hanging out with your friends and the fishing is great!

I love it each time I come out to fish w/ my dad. Great place to come out and catch some of the best fish. See wild life and just enjoy the lake. They also have R/V camp on sight and a dock to fish from if you have brought a boat out to go on the lake.

One of the better ones that are out there for sure.

I live 8 miles away and volunteer often. Last time was the month after hurricane where I helped fire crews on their efforts to clear trails at Ft Braden - the rangers often were coming off long duty at Panama City sites.This state forest has multiple properties around the lake - the education facility at Bear Creek which feeds into lake on north side or the Bloxham house available for weddings and such on the south west end. Theres lots of hunting and fishing. Forest is well-managed with ongoing restoration for Longleaf Pine.

I only launched boat here nice dock, easy access, I didnt see anywhere to pay a launch fee so I assumed free!!!

Need maps at kiosk. Last 2 trips, no maps. Also need a map that includes the road system. Tried to bail off of the horse trail ( with dog but no horse) last night only to find service road did not work for us. Stumbled out at dark. Amazed at how long it takes to get dark, thank goodness for that.

Its going to take four wheelers lake talquin is a beautiful lake to fish on and just go out and relax

Beware the current address that google maps will guide you to on central rd is wrong. There are no trails or parking on the midway tract, double check directions before driving.

Love visiting the lake and all the beauty surrounding it.

I go to Jack Vause Landing about every other day, with my pup, I am trying to conquer the bridge. It is so beautiful and peaceful, great fishing too.

Great prices, perfect for hunting season. Bed was surprisingly very comfortable.

Great boat ramp, fish cleaning table with running water, docks, walkways, and parking. I kayaked and the scenery was greast.
