The staff is amazing always asking if you need anything and helping point out where the animals are. Never had to ask for anything they always did first. Beautiful area and when the kids are older we will be doing the ropes in the trees. Animals are well cared for. Fun outing that doesnt break the bank. Kids loved it.

We get the yearly Friends and Family Membership - its about $75 and its so worth it. We go every other weekend, at least. Its great, even during this pandemic. Easy to social distance, everything is outdoors. Staff is friendly. My toddler loves learning about the animals, and after over a year of visiting, he knows the trails like the back of his hand! The animals were enthralling! The best part was feeding the cow Macy with my younger sister.. however a scary man on a golf cart shouted at us while we were savoring the moment. He said Macy was on a special diet and was unable to eat grass.Moments later guide informed usall about Jersey Cow Macy.. she said that they feed Macy grass.

I would never have thought a three-year-old and his grandparents could have such a good time at a museum. This place is more like a park/zoo/ playground/educational center all in one. We saw northern Florida at its finest and a lot of cool animals like red wolves, foxes, turkeys, Florida panthers cougars and snakes in their natural habitat. We spent two hours there and liked it so much we bought a season pass.

They should really closed back down until they can get everything up and running correctly every exhibit is not open and they are charging full price to get in that’s ripping us off

Great place to spend the day outside, nice playground, and we appreciated the conditions the animals were kept in. Its a bit odd compared to a traditional museum given its offerings, and theres no restaurant, but its a nice place to enjoy the weather with your kids. The treetop adventure seemed overpriced on top of the admission price for small children so we didnt partake in that.

We had a really good time and spent about 3 hours at the museum. We took several kids ranging from 4-11 and all really enjoyed it. I only ranked it 4 of 5 because they charge full price while most of the exhibits with indoor aspects were closed due to COVID orders. Based on the number of signs that said closed due to... it seemed about half of museum was unavailable. The animal encounter needed some additional energy and solicitation of feedback and interaction with the kids. Overall though, I love the museum and enjoyed going as much with my kids as I did when I was a kid.

Great place to visit! Especially if you have kids. This is not actually a museum, it is more like a zoo but here instead of living in cages, the animals live in big habitats, that are identical with their natural environment, which is great! We saw bears, foxes and multiple other animals. It is a lot of fun to look for them in the trees and bushes. This place also has a little farm with cows, chicken, etc.Special tip: If you have a Bank of America card, you can get in for free in the first weekends of each month!

This place is great!! Its outside (almost completely), so its a great choice in this time of social distancing! They have wolves, deer, turkeys, owls, bears, foxes, turtles, and some Florida panthers and cougars. The walking paths and boardwalks are very well done, and all of the staff is friendly. I only gave it 4 stars since they had the playground closed; with everything else opening up, and even summer programs for kids being held while we were there, youd think outdoor activities for kids like the playground would be reopening also.

Best decision was to get an annual pass. My toddler loves this place and I can bring family and friends for an easy day outside. Theres lots of canopy to shade the entire trail and park.Highly recommend the zip lining. Best time to go is when they open as its cool outside and the animals are active. Otherwise the animals hide in the shade or burrows.

This was my families first visit to the Tallahassee Museum since we moved to the Tallahassee area a year ago. We were pleasantly surprised! First off, go on a nice day. Mostly all of the museum is outside. When we arrived we were planning on paying, but they had a free day. There was face painting, drawing of caricatures, and free food!We saw everything the museum had to offer in around two hours. The animals seemed better off than at a zoo. My husband hates zoos, but he said he liked the way they had the fencing instead of bars. The museum does a good job of making it seem like its more blended in with nature. My teens enjoyed the experience of stepping back in time. They also enjoyed seeing the animals. My husband and I enjoyed being out in nature and the time with our family!

The Tallahassee Museum is a must see when in Tallahassee. They have an animal exhibit featuring rescued animals native to Flordia (Make sure you visit the otters!) with educational information about them. Elevated walkways provide good views of the animals along with a nice stroll through natural Flordia swamp lands. While I have not got the chance to try it yet, an elevated ropes course traverses through much of the park providing a fun and unique experience for an additional cost. While the museum is not completely handicap assessable, due to some of the elevated walkways, they do provide a golf cart free of charge for help getting around. Especially since the ground is natural (i.e. dirt).

The Tallahassee Museum has been a favorite destination for our family for more than 40 years. Museum is a bit of a misnomer if you are thinking a large building with marble floors and exhibits of dinosaur bones and Florida history. The Tallahassee Museum (still called the Tallahassee Junior Museum by locals) is a wildlife park, dotted with historic buildings offering glimpses into north Floridas past. My parents brought us here on Sunday afternoons to burn off a giant Sunday dinner exploring the walking trails. My husband and I have continued this tradition with our children. There is a red caboose on the grounds that children love to explore. You can see the wildlife from elevated boardwalks. While you may have to be patient to spot some animals, its worth it to know they are not contained in small pens. My favorite is the Florida panther. There are also great playground spaces for kids and more. We hosted our daughters 3rd birthday here, and it was a blast. Come for a leisurely afternoon.
