The Slater packs so many specimen and so much history and data into the little space they have. Im always in awe when I see how much is displayed at the monthly Nights at the Museums. Staff and docents are very knowledgeable and are always willing to show you around. This museum will always have a place in my heart!

The best thing about Slater Museum are Nights at the Museum when they once per month allow public to come and observe specimens. Students set up tables which follow certain theme and give insights into wonderful marvels of nature. They also open specimen room and Pint Defiance Zoo visits with an animal or two. It is a monthly tradition our children eagerly await for.

Its a cool, unguided tour. Shows a lot of history all the way up to the modern hybrid. Even mentions some of the first electric vehicles over 70 years ago! I wish the place had a real restaurant instead of the cafe that they have, it might be kind of cool!
