I have been shopping at Tacomas Best Piercing for almost three years. I have had four piercings done by two of the piercers, have purchased jewelry, and have ordered custom pieces of jewelry. We brought our 8 year old to get her ears pierced and everyone was wonderful and wearing masks. I got my nostril pierced yesterday evening. Clients are helped on an appointment-only basis in order to keep each person safe while in the shop, which I greatly appreciate. The woman at the front with black hair was incredibly nice and helpful when it came to explaining how my appointment would go and showing me the jewelry I could pick for my stud. Ramona is who pierced me, and they were incredibly calm and informative. I was super nervous because I have a fear of needles, but their calm energy helped to keep me from getting too wound up! Ramona washed their hands and changed gloves multiple times when prepping my jewelry and nose, so you know when you’re in this studio you are in safe, clean hands! They didn’t surprise me at all when I was being pierced. I knew exactly how things were going to happen and when they were going to happen, which helped me a ton! The piercing itself was extremely quick and surprisingly painless. Ramona made sure I didn’t stand up too fast when we were done and explained my aftercare in detail. When I went to pay, I was handed my own sealed bottle of saline solution (in spray from) which is included in the price of the piercing service. You will be taken care of if you decide to come here, and you can know with certainty that you are being pierced in an extremely clean environment. Thank you, Ramona!

I took my 6 1/2-year-old daughter in for her first earlobe piercings. She was very excited, (because we had planned to get them done for her as a birthday present back in May, but we couldn’t because of the COVID-19 Pandemic). So, she had been waiting patiently for MONTHS to get them done. A nurse had recommended that we take her to Tacoma’s Best Piercings and that’s exactly what we did. We had a phenomenal experience there! They did both of her piercings in tandem so she only had to go through it once. Cameron and Ramona were amazing and gentle and quick. When they were through my little was grinning from ear to ear and so proud of herself. She just LOVED her newly pierced ears! I was so impressed that I had them repierce two of my holes that had closed up from several years of disuse AND they corrected a botched piercing that was done crookedly by some other establishment several years prior. Now I have perfectly symmetrical and straight piercings! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Tacoma’s Best Piercings! They have a Professional, cleanly, helpful staff that are VERY good at their jobs.

I had my second piercing in my earlobes done at Clairs about 18 years ago and haven’t worn a earring in them in over 10 years because one love kept getting infected. I thought i needed it re pierced but Romona took a look and said it didn’t need to be because she was able to get her instrument through and a higher quality earring in. She could have easily done a re piercing for the money but she did what was in my best interest and I really appreciated that. Romona and the ladies at the front desk were all very informative/helpful. I also felt safe going into there establishment because you could tell they follow the state guidelines for COVID-19 and the guidelines for a legitimate piercing business. They set you up for success after your piercing to with strict instructions for caring for your piercing. If i were bold enough to have piercings done other than my ears, I’d definitely choose them and I would recommend them to anyone!

Tacoma’s Best Piercing is very professional and thorough in assisting with piercings. They won’t just willy-nilly Pierce you because you want it. If your anatomy doesn’t support the piercing, they will advise you so. They take the time to know what you want and make sure the placement works. Safety is top priority and everything is done with sterile technique. It’s the only place I will go after having my last two piercings with them.

I can’t recommend TBP enough! I’ve gotten 3 piercings there now (septum, nostril and medusa) and each one has come with amazing professionalism, a clean and friendly atmosphere and a TON of great aftercare info. Today I got pierced by Ramona who did awesome, and was especially helpful in explaining some new aspects of aftercare with my first lip piercing. These folks know their stuff!! I would give more stars if I could.

The best piercing shop around. I have been curating my ears for some time, and have been to a lot of piercing studios. Tacoma’s is the best I’ve found. The employees are professional, kind and their jewelry selection is stellar. To go to a professional, reputable, clean place with quality pieces will cost money. Piercings are a body modification - you should want the best- and the best isn’t cheap. Quality Piercings are not a necessity- but a luxury so I’ll never understand why people complain.

Got two cartilage piercings by Cameron . Everyone were very friendly, understanding, walked me through the process and worked with me to make sure I loved it. Highly recommend.

I went in to have an earring switched out- I was greeted by a couple very friendly staff who quickly educated me and showed me options of jewelry. I fell in love with several pieces. The selection was both classy and trendy. I found an additional piece that I knew I needed so I booked another appt for the next day to get a new piercing. Both appts I was with Ramona- she was professional, nice and made both appts comfortable and painless. I left very happy, I will be back!

I am not sure what the hate is about but I wanted to mention a couple of things. I was a regular when I lived in Tacoma, Before leaving I visited and saw Jessica, my all time favorite. I’ve seen her and her business grow and it’s been amazing! With COVID I feel like most of the recent 1 star ratings are because of the new policies. Customer service is so hard, even harder now. I work in it too. PLEASE appreciate good peoples time and effort. If you want a good, safe piercing you come here! I used to go to tattoo parlors, malls, and all the “general” places you can think of. Skip that and go straight to the specialists. I will be going to another Association of Professional Piercers member, like Jessica, here in TN where I moved to.

Staff were very polite and helpful with the jewelry decision. The one con is that the navel piercing jewelry they put on me was not long enough for swelling and it embedded in my skin after the first two days having it. I would definitely come back for more future ear piercings though!

I have had several piercings from reputable tattoo shops over the years, all of which took an extremely long time to heal. I dont know what kind of magic Jessica has, but this has been the most problem free piercing of my life (I suspect skill is more at play than magic). I had all of my questions answered, and very pleasant interactions with all. You get what you pay for, and Tacomas best piercing is 100% worth it.

The space was incredibly clean but inviting. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. I felt safe and confident in my decision to choose Tacomas Best Piercing for my first ever facial piercing. They also had a wide selection of jewelry along with titanium rods for sensitive skin.

The piercing itself was fine, but the email with maintenance instructions never came, and the email requesting our ids never came until we were literally in the store. Not very good management there. VERYYYY expensive for what we got.

Walked in and was seated. Charged $112 for basic jewelry for a naval piercing. Was extremely rude to my mother and told her to be quiet. Extremely over priced. Won’t come here again.

I had Cameron pierce my high nostrils tonight and I am SO happy with them. The entire experience was very pleasant and Cameron did a great job with letting me know everything he was doing and it really eased my anxiety. Could not recommend them enough!!!! Very friendly staff and a nice selection of jewelry right as you step in. My piercer was Cameron Odom and he was super nice and made me feel very comfortable. He explained everything very well through every single step and very thoroughly told me how to take care of my piercings. The piercings themselves went fast and came out absolutely perfect, even though I was kind of a weenie and ended up squirming. 10/10 would recommend!

The people are super nice..I just think they are too expensive. They include the cleaning solution which they mark up the price and dont tell you the cost of the jewelry until after the total the amount. Another thing this shop does is has you do a follow up appointment to change the stem to a smaller one after it heals which is a great idea but...then you have to pay another 20 plus dollars :/. So all said and done for a basic nose piercing its gonna cost you about 130.00. No Military discounts either!

We took my 5 year old daughter here to get her ears pierced for the first time. She was really excited... then it turned to being nervous/terrified. Cameron was so great at calming her nervous and making her laugh. He walked her through the entire process- in easy terms should could understand- and our aftercare instructions. We go back a month after her piercing for a checkup, which is really cool to have a pro check up on her ears- Claires for sure doesnt offer that. They really care about clients and it was obvious from when we first came in.The shop is super clean, everyone is very friendly & professional. I got my nose pierced here yesterday and I can’t say enough good things about this business. The staff was professional, following all CDC guidelines, and incredibly nice. They spent almost 20 minutes with me answering any questions I had regarding my piercing, including talking me through the entire process (which really calmed my nerves). Romana was my piercer, and I’m very happy with everything. She talked me through every step, allowed me to change the placement a number of times, and the process itself was quick and easy. Afterwards the staff made sure I understood the aftercare procedure, answered even more of my questions, and even let me set up my follow up appointment. Also, the pricing was completely fair. If you’re looking to get a new piercing, I highly suggest coming here. You won’t be disappointed!

My wife was in there to get an ear pierced. They told her that there was 1 ring option (out of over 400) for the initial piercing. My wife said the size was far too big to be left in. She was in the place for 7 minutes and they charged her $40 and did absolutely no work. I called to get the facts of the situation and was hung up on by an individual saying I am not having this conversation with you. Terrible customer service.

I went to Tacoma Best Piercing for a few piercings I wanted to get (during COVID-19). The employees were all wearing masks and required customers to do so as well until it was time to get the piercings. They practiced clean and sterile technique at all times.My piercer (Jessica) was great! She explained exactly what I should expect, pain wise and appearance afterwards. She did a great job explaining the required after care as well. A couple of the piercings were a bit painful, but her technique made them quick and easy to get through. Would highly recommend her!I gave 4 stars because the person who initially checked me in and helped me pick out the jewelry was a bit short. She was helpful, but had a stand-offish attitude and did not seem to want to answer my questions (kept saying your piercer will explain) and/or seemed annoyed that I was asking questions. Also, when I questioned about the pricing of the jewelry, her response was VERY condescending.Overall it was a pleasant experience despite the lack of customer service I initially received.

I love this place with my whole heart. Marizel, Cameron, and Jessica are all super sweet and help me with any questions I may have before, during, and after visiting. Ive gotten pierced here twice, once for my nipples that were done in tandem (both at once) and once for multiple tragus piercings from a guest piercer. The jewelry selection is top notch and the entire studio is welcoming and perfectly clean at all times! Ive recommended so many of my friends here and theyve all had wonderful experiences too! I booked an appointment online, went in and choose a piece of jewelry, Jessica cleaned it and we discussed placement and hygiene and some friendly chit chat. She was very personable and professional. I am a very anxious person, but she put me at ease. She cleaned the cite with alcohol and iodine, lined it up, and made sure I was ready before inserting the needle. It was not painful and very quick. She cleaned up the site, took some pictures, made sure I was happy and had everything I needed to keep it clean and free from infection.Its been a few days, I have had very little discomfort and tons of compliments!

I would highly suggest this place. Clean and professional and took less than 30 min.

Jessica is amazing and her shop reflects her passion and professional approach to piercing! I wanted to get some piercings in my ears and went to Tacomas Best on a recommendation from a friend. The staff is really friendly and helped me pick out jewelry that would fit my style. The pieces are on the pricey side since I picked out solid rose gold and opals but the quality is excellent and you do get what you pay for, and when it comes to jewelry that will be in my body for many years its well worth the investment. I got a conch piercing in December which has been healing nicely for the last couple months, and then went back for a forward helix and third lobe piercing in the same ear. I was able to pick out more cohesive jewelry that fit the style of this ear, and once it heals up can do some in my other ear! I will definitely come back here and 10/10 recommend to others who want an attentive and friendly experience.

Hi there. I completely understand cancellation fees for missing appointments but I have had one of the most hectic days in forever and I had to go be with my family because a family friend passed away from covid-19. With everything that happened I completely forgot to call and tell them I couldnt go. When I called a few hours later, they said possibly they could put the fee towards a piercing the next day but then they ended up saying no. Its $40... I imagine thats only a few dollars less then the actual piercing. Im really disappointed if they had waived even half the fee I wouldve tipped them a lot extra and felt taken care of but the reviews on this place dont seem to match up with my experience. I hate to be this person but this shows they prioritize profit over their customers needs. A 25 minute appointment that I missed cost me $40 dollars. Please dont make an appointment here if you think ANYTHING may come up.

I came in a few weeks ago without an appointment and they were able to get me in very quickly to get a nose piercing. They thoroughly explained the process to me, made sure I understood everything including aftercare. The piercing itself was great, I didnt even feel it! My husband and I went to get our ears pierced in February before everything closed down. We had our appointment with Cameron who was super informative and professional the whole time. The shop had a great atmosphere that made us feel so comfortable.Weeks later thanks to the pandemic we were unable to go back to the shop to see about downsizing. Luckily we got an email with all the information we needed to take the necessary steps ourselves. I sent an email to the shop as instructed and got very quick responses, even as late as 11pm, which is above and beyond in my book! I placed the order that night and not even two days later received the sterilized equipment we needed to take care of our piercings.Im so glad I was able to use other reviews here to make the initial decision to get our piercings done here, I dont think I wouldve had as great of an experience anywhere else! My piercer was very sweet and understanding of the fact that I get overwhelmed about needles. When he noticed me starting to kind of freak out he backed up and did some breathing exercises with me. The quality and value of my piercing is perfect, just the way I imagined it. This is 100% my go to piercing place.

Took our 8-year-old in for her first ear piercing. They are the BEST! Would recommend booking an appointment online.The staff at the front treated her so gently and like the client (rather than her parents). Helped her pick out the perfect ear rings and got us through the process quickly (which was quite professional).Jessica who did the piercing was so kind and walked our daughter through the whole process before even beginning.Really liked this place and wouldnt recommend anywhere else. So clean, professional, and kind. Worth every penny!

I got my septum done here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They offer lots of beautiful quality jewlery including dainty ones. The piercer Cameron did a fantastic job! Im definitely coming back to get another done by him!

I waited to write a review to make sure we didn’t have any issues after the initial piercing service. Very professional, thorough, and highly recommend — far better than any piercing gun or chain kiosk in every way!!We were a walk-in and I didn’t realize I would need to prove parental rights/custody to get our child’s ears pierced. Though this was a minor irritation, I realize the necessity, I’m glad Jessica requires this verification, and any inconvenience was my fault for not calling in advance. Recommend making an appointment, especially for piercing a minor.Good jewelry selection and the best part is the flat backed earrings. Our child is sensitive to irritations and I was very concerned about posts sticking into the head behind the ears. The flat backs alleviated any concern and we didn’t have any issues.Aftercare instructions were thorough, easy, and we didn’t have any signs of infection at all. Jessica also emailed to check/follow-up. Because piercings are done with sterilized instruments and single-use needles rather than a piercing gun, the placement is better as well as less trauma to the ears, etc. Within a few days, there wasn’t even any redness/swelling.Three months after getting the piercings, we are still very pleased with the service we received. Jessica spoke to my child like an adult, explaining everything as she went, communicated the importance of aftercare, and provided a professional and pleasant experience for us. Highly recommend!!

This place is a definite 10/10! Yes, it is a little more expensive than the rest but it is SO much more worth it.Before I started coming here I was going to teh mall and paying just a little less for piercings I ended up HAVING to take out since they were done so bad and were getting infected all the time. I found this place and found out I wasnt able to get a bellybutton piercing in the first place and that the other place should have looked at mine first (but they didn’t).I settled and got other ear piercings that have been healing SO well and I wish I wouldn’t have wasted my money at the mall the first round- don’t make my mistake and do it right the first time.
