We had a GREAT time here watching the Nutcracker! Our granddaughter was absolutely thrilled with the show and her seat and performers and costumes! Our seats were perfect and our experience couldn’t have been better. In fact, the last play we saw on Broadway in NYC didn’t compare to the casting, costumes, and venue that we experienced this week here!

This is a stunning venue for the Seattle Opera. The building itself is a spectacularly engineered structure bedecked with modern art. The sky bridge to the nearby parking garage is convenient, and the Halls location in the Seattle Center means there is plenty to do while waiting for the performance to begin.

Saw Ludovico Einaudi here. Its a nice, comfortable venue. Its a bit bourgeois with the snacks and wine/beer. Theres cheese plates and even coffee as well. The seating can be a little cramped in the orchestra sections, but its not terribly bad. Only when people need to get in or out it can be annoying (its amazing how many people dont show up on time). Classical music sounds very good here, so this place is obviously a good choice for a pianist. Also, its very easy to get here, just straight off the exit from i-5 and theres a parking garage right next door.Price - depends (5)Comfort - 4Accessibility - 4Amenities - 4

The Nutcracker performance was amazing, this is my first time here and I will definitely be coming back. However I will not eat here again as the food was extremely overpriced for the quality. Our server was very inattentive we had to flag her down on multiple occasions and I even had to get her attention for a different table. The dessert that you see here was pretty good but the chocolate roll with mint was very dry, but the rest were delicious. I cannot say the same for the dinner.

The show (ballet) was OK but the food was incredible! I dont know the name of the place, but I would go back again just for the veggies and hummus plate I was served (intermission diner on same floor as performance). I paid before the show and sure enough, my plates and name tag were sitting out and ready for us, very positive experience.

Went to see the nutcracker ballet. The production was outstanding, everything was going great. Then following the intermission I was continually watched by security. After about 10 minutes into the second act. I became tired of the constant oversight. I gathered my things to leave and was confronted by security as I left. Upon leaving my date in her seat I asked security why he was hovering me and was told someone complained about me. I do not understand this, I was polite and considerate while attending. And no concerns were voiced at me. Following the show we left and were not contacted to verify whoevers concerns nor were able to verbalize our rebuttals to whatever the other patrons concerns were.Bottom line is I could never recommend McCaw hall for any event much less the nutcracker ballet.

McCaw hall is a good venue for most any type of live performance. Tonight Im with two daughters, a son-in-law and three grandkids watching Straight No Chaser. The Acapella group is popular with the family members and this show has been a lot of fun. Most seating in McCaw hall is pretty good, but for musical performances I prefer the front rows of the mezzanine or upper balcony.Three stars indicates my expectations have been met during this event at the hall. Disappointing results will cause a loss of stars to two or possibly three. A pleasant surprise will earn added stars. So three stars from me is a good rating.

I wanted to buy tickets for a Sunday show. Went online and they said its too late to buy tickets for the showing online, and that I should call the ticket office to buy them. I called the ticket office and received an automated recording saying the office is only open Monday to Friday. Either let people buy their tickets online during Sunday and Saturday or have your ticket office open. Dont tell people to call to buy tickets if youre not going to have anyone manning the phones to sell them.

McCaw Hall, home of Seattle Opera, is an amazing venue.Classic opera is traditionally unamplified, depending on each singers voice to rise over the orchestra and be easily heard in the back row of the house. McCaw Hall delivers the wonderful clean acoustics that make this classic opera possible. Every seat in the house is at least good, many are awesome.Other pleasant aspects of McCaw include a restaurant on the ground floor that serves full meals before performances, and a gift shop with a wide range of opera-related items.Ample parking is available in the Mercer Garage, which is connected by a convenient skybridge.McCaw Hall is also used by PNW Ballet.

I dont know how this ended up as a 1 star review. It is 5. I only recently saw this (Sept 2019), since Google does not make it easy to see your own reviews unless you go into google maps and dig through the menu setting. (They really should be linked in main account, not only on google maps). I see that the owner responded a year ago. I never saw this response before. (If Google sent an email notice, I did not see it). Anyway, McCaw hall is very nice and we always enjoy our visits. (Mostly ballet, but have been to a few other shows).

Atmosphere was very nice, very clean, upscale. Top-notch performance! Staff was helpful, kind, humorous, and knowledgeable. Experience would have been perfect, except the seats were a bit uncomfortable (low to the ground, tight side to side, limited leg room, and poor older cushioning), making it very difficult to sit through nearly 3 hours of otherwise excellent theater. If you are smaller, like 5-6 and under, and around 150 lbs, it might be OK, but anyone taller, older, bigger might just feel a little cramped/might begin suffering from a bout of sciatica around 1/3rd of the way through the show/might need to call the fire department to extract them from said seating if they manage make it to the end of the show.
