This place rocks! Its the perfect medium sized venue for small bands with big lineups and big bands with medium fanbase. HUGE mosh pit area. They offer delicious food, two huge bars two large areas for 21+ and all ages. The staff are friendly and professional. The bathrooms were clean and sanitary. I didnt go back stage but if the back is as good as the front it should look new and awesome.

Good venue, 2 bar areas (one with seating, off to the side, the other by the entrance opposite the stage), both with good drink and beer selection. They also serve food, though we didnt even get a chance to look at the menu with food trucks around throughout (and after) the show, finding dinner was nice and easy!Found cheap parking nearby as well ($10 for the event), right next door to the venue. This was our first show here, went with my GF to see Tove Lo and we had a blast! Well definitely plan on seeing more shows her in the future!

We attended the Showbox for a concert I upgraded to a table. View was great! We didnt have to deal with potential assaults from the pit lol, it was way more relaxed while still being able to complately enjoy the show! All with table service for drinks and food. I do suggest that if you want merch, its wise to purchase before the show starts because that side is jam packed when people begin to leave.

Fantastic venue. My wife and I sat in ADA-seating due to a health condition - Im always nervous the first time in a place like this, needing to use ADA services, because some places just dont care. Showbox did. Less than two minutes after our tickets were scanned, we had been walked directly to our seats, given the names of two different people who could help us if we needed anything during the show, and had a great view of the stage. The drinks were good, the food was what you expect from a place like this (serviceable), the acoustics are great. Most important to me is that they took the time to care about their customers.

Fun arcade with tons of classic games. It’s also a true Nickel Arcade! No cards or tokens, just good old fashion nickels. The games all worked well and they have a pretty good selection. Perfect for kids or a fun date night. Only gets four stars because it could be cleaner.. they need to be cleaning more frequently and move some of their broken supplies into the back room.

Attended USC Loves You on Valentines Day, and other than being almost-unbarably hot, the show was AMAZING! The open floor set up with a bar area at the back, VIP to the side, was spacious and perfectly organized. The light show effects and screen behind the DJ were impressive. The smoke stacks going off every few minutes didnt even make the air inside stifling! All in all, the whole show was extremely well done and performed flawlessly! I always enjoy coming to the Showbox.

Showbox has a pretty wild stage and lighting setup, but acoustics-wise it is (as the name implies) effectively a giant hollow box so the sound leaves something to be desired. Bar area takes up a pretty substantial amount of space so some concerts can feel cramped despite the size of the venue. Plenty of restrooms, easy coat check (takes card), and friendly staff

Ive been in this venue a couple of times already and its always been a good experience. Great sound, intimate setting and great line up.I am knocking down a couple of stars because of the bar inside. Drinks are a bit overpriced and the food are mediocre. Dont expect top notch high quality menu. Were talking tater tots, chicken wings fries. Anything fried. The worst part? It took more than an hour and a half for an order of chicken wings ang tater tots!!I can see if it takes 30 mins for something high quality but its fried food!! We ended up gulping it down at the venue itself so we get us a good spot. They have got to get their kitchen staff on track. My friend ended up having to wait for 2 hours because when she went to get her order, someone supposedly picked it up already!! She didnt even get compd for it!Will i go back to Showbox? Heck yeah if my fave artist is playing. Will i order food? HELL NO!!

Snow Patrol, whom I went to see, was AMAZING!!! But the venue was repugnant! Cement floors, no seating unless you are a gold or pink member, drunk people blocking the view by repeatedly returning to the bar, and too many tickets were sold for how small the venue was. I will NEVER attend another event there. Hey Showbox, you wanna save your place? Saw Streetlight Manifesto here August 3rd. At the concert the security guards were friendly and professional. All guests age 21+ got a wristband to be allowed near a sectioned off bar area. There was a cheap coat and bag check in near the door which was handy. The sound system was great and the venue felt very intimate with the band. Restrooms were easy to spot with a neon sign and the line for it moved quickly . The great thing is that the venue is small enough to have a great view of the band even from the back of the room. great show, good place.

Awesome venue for shows! It’s not extremely large, but big enough that it’s not cramped. The house Sound Engineer and lighting engineer/technician are terrible. Maybe they are just used to Pop concerts, and do not know how to mix or light a folk rock show, but its more likely they are just amatures and lack the technical training to do the job well.## lighting:There is no reason to light a band in green. (Nobody looks good in green light. Its used in theater to make a sickly or strange mood, but at a folk-rock concert??)Whats more the shame is that the management did not care enough to step in and tell the lighting tech to stop messing with the stage lighting. Elliot Brude (folk rock group) does not need any lighting support. Just turn the front lights on to a decent look and gently mix the warms and cools to the mood of the music. Nothing flashy needed.##Sound:On multiple occasions the sound tech let the mains peek, making the guitar and vocals indistinguishable. Its a mistake no trained engineer would make.## Overall:If the band your going to see is the headliner, doing a well financed tour, they will probably bring their own techs, and everything will be groovy. Otherwise, avoid this place like the plague until they get their tech together

Showbox SoDo is definitely not the best venue for edm concerts. Plus there was a long line and they said they were going at a pretty good pace. I understand its not their fault a ton of people came at the same time but at least delay the artist a bit so everyone can actually see the artist for the money they paid... we ended up waiting about 40 minutes and missed the first half of Yellow Claws set. This is a small and intimate venue thats very flat. Unless youre basically at the front you will be only seeing the back of the person in front of you.

All things considered: 5 stars for the Danzig show last night. Folks from pretty much all age groups present People running the metal detectors at entry were hello cool. Stiff drinks, quick service. Bathrooms were decently clean, though not adequately stocked up (toilet paper seat protector time). Staff were quick to remove belligerent motherf*ckers, and clean up expelled bodily fluids.People: Be considerate to the shorter audience members during the headliner. But more importantly, learn how to move through a god damn audience- Look ahead for a path. A light hand on the shoulder will usually queue the person you are trying to get by to shift over so you can get by.The only thing that kinda sucked (but not really) was that by the time we went over to buy shirts, they had none in small. They did have a tour sweatshirt however. (currently wearing) so I was totally chill with that. I wouldve been less excited to only get a Danzig sleep-shirt size. The Dirty Dog hot dog truck was perfect for a middle-of-the-Show meal. The Cook was super chill, asked us who was playing, looked-on with us during some police fiasco as we tried to figure out what kind of drunk-*as scenario was going down.Overall , great night, 5 stars SoDo.
