An old school B&M Invert that never disappoints. This ride is very intense and is even better than some of the newer B&M Inverts. Sadly this is a very short ride with only 2,200 feet of track. Overall 3rd best ride in CGA

Second best ride in the park (behind Gold Striker)!! Both front and back are amazing but pick back for night rides. Sitting on the far left gets you close to the water on the helix!! This ride is super intense and still super smooth after 24 years!!!

If you like rollercoasters, Flight Deck (formerly known as Top Gun) is a great one! Because youre hanging from above, you basically cant anticipate any of the twists and turns.

Rode this roller coaster in May 29, 2019. The first time I rode a roller coaster with inversions!!!!! I love this roller coaster!!!!!! While the five stars wont be affected, I think the ride was a little too short. But every time I go to Great America, Ill be sure to ride Flight Deck!

This ride is AMAZING! I first started to whine about going on it because I was like 11. Although, you do get that really weird butterfly feeling in your stomach. I was in the middle between my brother and sister. The loop and corkscrews are sooooooooo much fun! I begged my siblings if we can go back on it when we leave, but we didnt have enough time. It is scary when you first go on it. I plan to go back to Californias Great America again this summer. I havent been there in years because I was a chicken for these kind of roller coasters. But this would be a GREAT start. I think it has 1 loop and 3 corkscrews. Dont be frightened if you havent went on it before. Only listen to the 5 star reviews. They are the best reviews. Flight Deck is fantastic. Medium-intensity hanging coaster with plenty to satisfy coaster fans. One loop and two corkscrews. It’s actually a pretty short ride (you can tell because you have to wait in line to get off when the ride ends) but this means the line moves fast. You can also choose where to sit - honestly, sit in the very front or go home. You’re going to want a very clear view. Make sure shoes are tight and glasses and hats are stowed - it goes over a swamp and I doubt they’ll let you fish your glasses out. Coaster fans will likely keep returning for this and Rail Blazer.

Smooth coaster simulating flight without a surrounding cockpit (if in the very front). Average thrill level, mildly entertaining. Would recommend the drop tower over this.

EVERYONE THAT SEES THIS REVIEW- grab a mayo packet from the food court and throw it when the ride goes over the water. it is a sacrificial ritual to the gold striker gods.

OMG I love this ride. I probably been on it at least 12 times. Im a person who loves thrill rides. if I could rate something a trillion stars, I would for this ride. I really recommend going at night for this ride. It makes the ride seem faster, and the breeze is really nice on your face.
