This garden deserves more praise! The plants and flowers seem to be taken care of quite well, as the plants looked very healthy. The scents are really beautiful and relaxing. This would make a great location for a jog, a walk, or really just to zone out and enjoy the beautiful horticulture.

I enjoy walking through every once in a while. There are so many varieties. Not as organized as the rose garden on Naglee, but it has its own charm.

Truly great place for a walk. Roses of all different species. Every rose bush has a sign with its name. The smell here is fantastic. This place is truly accessible by wheelchair. The only thing that annoyed me was its nearby airport and roades that constantly made disturbing sounds. This place is well worth a visit during blooming.

For some reason, I expected this garden to be a bit more organized. It was difficult to identify from the street and Google Maps utterly failed to guide us in, nearly putting us on the freeway, instead. There was no informational center and the garden is part of a larger park with various other attractions. A central sign did indicate that visitors could walk through in a specific direction to view the rose varieties in an order that would essentially demonstrate the history of rose cultivation, but we took a pass on figuring it out. The only other signage was small placards indicating the names of the different kinds of roses, most with dedications. It was a pleasant visit, overall. The roses were mostly in bloom. I reckon it would be tough to catch them all in full bloom at the same time, given the variety. Many of them are from Germany. All are quite lovely.Parking and entry are free.

It is not well facilitated like other rose gardens in the area but does help for the purpose of a nice traditional garden

Shady place and roses are abandoned. Shame!

They only do maintenance on this park only parts of the year and it looks nice afterwards. But at other times the weeds can be so high that it approaches 3.5 feet tall.

Just like so many SJ parks, it was beautiful when first developed, bit now not properly cared for. Weeds everywhere, litter, poor walkways. Another tribute to irresponsible budgeting.

There were definitely some pretty flowers here, however it seemed a bit neglected. I do realize it is run by volunteers. Its a nice place to walk around, but dont go out of your way to go here.

Could use some actual nurseryman for care of grounds. One can tell volunteers do most of the work...

It should get zero stars because of it doesnt exist anymore. All the gates are closed and the place is very overgrown but its still rated one of the top 10 places to see in San Jose which doesnt make any sense because its abandoned and overgrown

Nice rose garden but when you compare it to others in the area and it just doesnt hold up. I like the design of the garden. Roses are separated by themes or eras. Unfortunately, some roses look like they had better days. Some were weathered. Just not as well kept as others Ive seen.

I love this garden with lots of flowers in bloom for the Spring. It is a great place for walking. The Guadalupe River trail is close by so its a good destination for a biking break. There are picnic tables and free street parking.

This place is great. It accepts volunteers to help with the upkeep. I loved to lay in the grass and watch the planes land at SJC, but they changed the landing patterns. You can still see them, but they no longer going directly over you. Nice place for a picnic lunch.
