Plenty of parking in the neighborhood even during COVID. Unfortunately not a lot of shade throughout the trail, specifically on a hot day it may feel excruciatingly long with the inclines. The 2 mile Mine hike isnt bad, pure dirt trail with plenty of space between other hikers. Lots of folks bring dogs. Great sporadic views throughout. Portapotties at the entrance to the trails is a plus with maps available to grab and go.

Its so beautiful here. Theres miles of hiking and beautiful views. The one problem I had was that the benches were few and far between. Its very dog friendly. It gets really hot in the summer, so its better to come in the morning. There is a lot of shade.

Nice trail. Please note: Someone mentioned you could bike so we took our sons bike. There is a clear sign NO BIKES.

Superb little quaint hike in south San Jose. Not difficult at all. Great views. Oak trees are magnificent.My wife is 6-month pregnant and she could hike/walk without any issues. Highly recommended

All that is needed is porta potty up in the hill Love the nature wide trail breath taking sceneryIntervals are great!--Bring your own toilet paper and enough water--almost missed the Mine Hill return sign as I needed to take s left to walk up and around the hill to my leftBut made it back 2 hours

Rain or shine, this is a great place to hike.

Great trails. Just be careful to not go too far, because then you have to walk back!

The trails are usually easy. Road is not paved, and not suggest to hike after heavy rain.
